This game doesn't really seem worth playing online outside friends. It's crazy that capsules would be allowed online. I have no presumptions about being good enough at the game to try anyway though, so it's kind of moot.
It would be worth it if the next game, which is coming soon, would have a few rules that you can change. They're already implementing the level 0 fights, but I'd like to see a no item use setting.
Piper 9080 My OP came out a long ways before XV2 information started getting out there too much, but it looks like XV2 will definitely be competitively worthwhile on some level, so I'm okay with that. As a tangential rant, I personally am not too huge on the zero stat fight idea. I'd prefer if it took your stats and "equalized" them proportionally, rather than zeroing out stats altogether. Because of stat zeroing, XV2 will have a different "type" of meta than XV1 altogether, whereas how I would've done it would preserve more of the core of XV1's online gameplay, while "trimming the fat" as it were. But it's a minor issue, really.
It's already been mentioned in an interview that they started working on Xenoverse 2 before Dragon Ball Super aired, so they haven't been working on Super characters. We'll get them as part of DLC, if anything.
