I have the Samson q2u, and it's fine, really good, it picks up almost nothing outside, today I will receive the blue yeti x wow edition, and I'm worried it's not worth it Edit: I've tried it, and for a gamer, or a person with a busy place, it's not worth it, but, if you plan on going outside, and recording stereo sounds, or asmr, or you are in a quiet studio, you can pick it, if you think it has better usability other than another mic
I got my Yeti x WoW edition this afternoon, and I got to say, if you need stereo, or you have some mixed use of the mic, it's good. But, for a normal gamer, or anyone with some noise on the room, the Samson Q2U does the best job. I prefer the Samson over the blue yeti, but I'll keep it to do some records and cause I'm not the only one using it C:
Thank you for a detailed and critical review. I agree, straight out of the box, the Yeti X is underwhelming. It requires tinkering with the B!ue software (for some reason, the default has the gain set to 70+? wtf?). But after tinkering with the software to my voice, this thing sounds awesome. I also have a Quadcast S and yes, if you want great audio quality straight out of the box, that's a decent mic to go with. But as for sound quality overall? I'd have to give it to the Yeti X AFTER you tinker with the settings via B!ue. The Quadcast S sounds great but I rate that as "a step above my headphone mic". I personally think both the Quadcast S and Yeti X are great mics. But if I had to choose, I'd go for the Yeti X (should you decide to go the USB route. XLR route is a different story, my Rode PodMic sounds better than the Yeti X or Quadcast in my opinion). Great review. New sub too :-)
Great review my man. I just got the "Blackout" not too long ago and for what I use it for I'm impressed so far. But after seeing this I'll Prolly send it back and grab this X instead. Thanks man. New sub😊
In another Video i saw that with Blue Voice deactivated it sounds much much better and more Natural. You could try that if you are interested ^^. It is kinda amazing that it gets so much worse with blue voice
i'm having a problem with my blue yeti x. I plugged it in, and i started to hear an echo of myself, but it didn't make sense. i can hear all the surround sounds way too well, and any slight tap i hear and i don't know how to fix it. Can anyone help me out?
Nice video my friend! What would you recommendt for acoustic guitar recording? This or the Quadcast? I can't decide between them. BTW I'll be using with an android phone too, for music videos. Greetings from Brazil!
Really good review! However, please move that light in the back, it's blinding and especially annoying when your hands cover and uncover it. I feel like I'm being interrogated
you say, to hear how this microphone performs for streaming, come check out my twitch tonight. that was on the 21st of november, and it is now june 17th. explain to me how this works please???!!!!!
This paid youtubers talking trash about the Yeti.... They expect it to perform like a u$550 setup (Shure SM7B + Audio Interface) , when it just costs u$160.Silly people are silly. Or they say "It doesn't sound as good as other mics from the same price range".... But never specify which ones of those mics with similar pricing sound better...
Not at all. I could compare the Yeti X to the Samson G-Track Pro which is a $129 USB mic and get much better results out of it. It’s an issue with the Yeti, it’s not about an expectation that I do not hold.
@@TechSummitTV In fact you never said that on the video (the same way as most YTBrs fail after spitting that almost prebaked phrase). Also that Samson G-Track Pro costs only 20 bucks less and has less overal features. It doesn't come with a dedicated software either. So while it may sound 5% better (set to factory defaults without any modifications), it has other features.
I have one, don't buy, check Rode or Shure better. It's just a beautiful designed microphone, but cheap in default quality + EQ software. I have spoken.

Hey have you reviewed the elgato wave 3 ?

Hey, I was wondering if the microphone is wired or wireless. Could you please give me answer and soon
Yeti sounds better than your other mic you use for your intro
This is what I was thinking
I doubt anyone's still monitoring this 3 years and change later, but I agree.
I am lol
@@brandonzurvalec2520
@@brandonzurvalec2520I agree as well lmao
me watching a microphone review: this sounds pretty decent.
The Reviewer: As you can clearly hear this microphone sucks, get something better!
If you’re a student you can get 25% off of any Blue products using your Unidays account
I might be stupid but the blue yeti x sounds better then your Shure SM7B xlr mic.
I agree. A lot better!
If the setup of the mic is not good, it is possible, I think he might have a low current pre amp, and amp, it's so quiet :/
@@NightVisionOfficial yeah probably
@@NightVisionOfficial it's just so funny because this youtuber is so stingy of this mic, but his(for whatever reason) sounds a lot worse.

And so the SM7B doesn´t sound muddy and quiet on you? The Yeti X sounds way better than the SM7B, if you set up the SM7B incorrectly

Do you know if your eq settings on the yeti save over to ps4
why is there different packages? i got a blue package, yours is black?! 😮
Thanks for the review. What headphones are you using?
Bro is ur nose blocked or something?
Review sounds very bass heavy rather than neutral. Was that intentional and via Blue Voice?
What are some affordable usb c microphones?
Great review my man. I just got the "Blackout" not too long ago and for what I use it for I'm impressed so far. But after seeing this I'll Prolly send it back and grab this X instead. Thanks man. New sub😊

I think it wounds TEN times better than before when its deactivated idk just me

Thank you! Unfortunately, I'm not very musically inclined, so I couldn't tell you which is best for acoustic guitar. My apologies!
Really good review! However, please move that light in the back, it's blinding and especially annoying when your hands cover and uncover it. I feel like I'm being interrogated
I agree - for migraineurs and people with neurological conditions, it's a nightmare.
Love the videos! Keep it up! Your video editing is also very comforting. It's a vibe.
Thank you!! Glad to keep the vibe going!
I just picked this mic up to narrate an audio book for Amazon did I make a mistake? If so, what do you recommend?
It's good enough with the right settings. However, you'll probably prefer an XLR microphone such as the Spark SL as it is much more clear.
I have yet to figure out how and where to get (download) this software. Any thoughts or suggestions?
It's now logitech g hub
Mine didnt come with the USB cable.
Pretty harsh review TBH. With a little tinkering, the mic sounds brilliant!
Great review bro. ive been wanting to actually pick up the yeti pro can you review that microphone
Thanks for this authentic review!
I wonder if I can run it into my Apollo X6 Rack?
I got the blue yeti x but I’m thinking of getting the shure sm7b what is better
Surely the SM7B, but that depends on your needs
you say, to hear how this microphone performs for streaming, come check out my twitch tonight. that was on the 21st of november, and it is now june 17th. explain to me how this works please???!!!!!
Where did you get those salt lamps/lights ?
are you able to take of the stand and put it on a boom arm?
Absolutely!
Thank you, great review in content and in talent!

bro what the best mic Shure mv7 or blue yeti x and with using Goxlr??
Between those two microphones, you can only use the Shure MV7 with a GoXLR. Either way, the M7 sounds better.
I have one, don't buy, check Rode or Shure better. It's just a beautiful designed microphone, but cheap in default quality + EQ software. I have spoken.
Is it compatible in ps4?
No USB C plug is an epic fail.
this thing was made before usb c was big
at least for me as I never heard of it at the time
I have a blue yeti x and it sounds nothing as good as yours. haha Any tips for setup? or just plug and play, no custom adjustments made?
Did you watch the video? lol
0:05 i thougt that he said: i thought that Mongraal Sucked
wtf the blue yeti x sounds so good and your sm7b sounds so bad. lol
amazing vid m8
Thank you!
is this mic better than the quadcast?
or.....
I think the Quadcast sounds better, in my opinion. The monitoring experience is better too.
@@TechSummitTV thx that was really helpful (:
this or samson g track pro?
Samson G Track Pro.
5:20 what is the settings?
@Traube Minze facts
what do you think about the samson gtrack pro? is it better then the yeti x or nano
I have a review on that microphone coming up...but I would say that the Samson is easily better.
Nah, Samson is worse.
That's my opinion though
By far the worst review I've seen on RUclips. (or at least in the worst 5). Guy has absolutely no idea what he's talking about
second
Better than third, haha.
