Is the US economy in recession? Is the Nvidia AI bubble busted? Will China save the global economy again? Stay tuned for this Saturday, 3 August with Teng Boo to find out.
Firstly the expectation and anticipation of FED lowering interest rate will shift investors' preference to small and mid cap stocks as these are the stocks that underperform during higher interest rate environment. Further, big cap stock has been performing well for the past couple of years and investors would definitely take some profit out of it. Secondly investors are having some reservation on the ROI and the real world tangible application of AI. So far, most companies profited from AI are predominantly in semiconductor companies such as NVDA, AMD etc. Also, other companies that would leverage AI are in cloud related services. Other than these, there aren't really many other companies that demonstrated the ability to harness the power of AI to have tangible investment return. Having said that, one of the few companies on many the investors' radar that is able to achieve this is Palantir.
Agree that there are key indicators pointing towards same direction, however such indicators can be easily change with strategic actions taken. Not shouting for Nvidia & its definitely overvalued in a cyclical business. At this point you should know that China's economy is different from US. The measures you mention although true dont work in China. What china needs is stimulate & upgrade stable employment to boost confidence in domestic consumption.
why would Nvidia rally when the Chinese are already competing against them in such a short period of time we destroyed our own industry to not stop China & in time they will out innovate us here as well
Nvidia is riding the AI bubble. Generative AI has yet to deliver any substantial value. It is more hype than anything else. Generative AI will be a game changer in some limited industries but not it is not going to change the world today.
I am a USA citizen. I have retirement accounts that I would like to move offshore. Could you address this issue in a future video? Are Singapore or Malaysia options I should look at? What about China?
So what? It’s only a matter of time when China will develop its own Nvidia equivalent chips, and by then it will eat the market of Nvidia with cheap chips. That will be the beginning of the end of Nvidia.
I think good investors need to look beyond the Western media tropes. The West has driven the narrative lies for so long that even the elementary school text books are starting the brain washing from birth. I am 71 years old and only now have become aware that I have been lied to my entire life.
A view that is based on data and without politics - that's the better/best view. Keep up the good work.
I am confused. The services PMI in July shot up to the highest level in recent months. You said that the services PMI plunged.
Thanks for the heads up. Mr Tan

USA has been in recession at least early this year. No amount of QE will be able to dig itself out this time.

China cannot buy Nvidia high end chips

I think the point is that Nvidia won't be able to benefit from a relatively strong Chinese economy if a global recession hits.@@wong3150
