    All China has to do is to maintain its current international policies, be modest, be firm, be friendly, be fair, be a peace leader, be more and more independent in terms of innovation, technology, communication, production chain, food supply chain, etc. look after its people well fair. Any sanctions against China eventually will only serve to hurt those who placed sanctions.

      The 9-dash line is not an imaginary sea boundary. It was created by the American government following the defeat of Japan in 1945. This plan was presented to the new Taiwanese government formed by the Kuomintang party who fled to Taiwan after their defeat by Mao’s CCP. The CCP just adopted this SCS territorial claim as their own. If you want to blame, please do this to the mastermind in the USA.

If someone has already invented the wheel which works efficiently, why not improve on it instead of wasting valuable time to reinvent the wheel. Imagine someone reinventing a wheel that is not round. Will this work - say a square design? Even nature does not reinvent the wheel, which is why almost all vegetation is green and not another colour.

    Cats dogs can be as smart as human given enough time for them to evolve in different conditions and let the natural selection do the magic. AI + robot/machinery can build physical world, AI is an artificial brain of robot, simply saying that AI cannot build physical things is too naive. How can you be sure you are not living in a virtual environment created by god? We have seen some prototypes like 3A games, mindcraft and VR glasses being created. In other words, we are in he process of creating VR. If this universe is just a virtual reality, given enough time, human can build it also. By the way, do you really think that VR and real world can be so easily differentiated from each other, what parameters for you to differentiate them? The problem of you is you see things in static not in dynamic, you have a fixed mindset not a growth mindset. Because of the arguments from you in this video, I somehow feel that your previous prediction on China is too unreliable. I am criticizing on your weak logical deduction and lack of proper research before making a statement, not on you conclusion. It was these making me feel that your China prediction unreliable, it was not due to that I don't agree with your conclusion in this video.

    Referring to This case involving Kim Taek Hoon is like something out of a Hollywood thriller, except it’s happening right here in Singapore! The sheer scale of the operation-nearly 28,000 gold bars bought with S$1.5 billion in criminal gains-is mind-boggling. Using air impact wrenches as a cover for smuggling gold? That’s some next-level trade-based money laundering. Kim’s alleged schemes show just how complex and far-reaching these operations can be, spanning multiple countries and exploiting the legitimate flow of goods. But it also highlights how vigilant Singapore’s authorities are, detecting and disrupting such intricate plots. Now, with 21 charges to his name, including cheating, money laundering, and failing to declare large sums of cash, Kim is in deep trouble. If convicted, he could be looking at some serious jail time, hefty fines, or both. It’s a stark reminder that no matter how clever the scheme, the law will eventually catch up with you! How Singapore enforcement agencies are able to detect such cases? Because of AI? Absolutely! Singapore’s emphasis on training its enforcement officers in AI and other advanced technologies is a key reason the country remains ahead in the fight against crime, especially in complex cases like money laundering and transnational crime. AI allows agencies to sift through vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and detect anomalies that human eyes might miss. For instance, AI-driven analytics can quickly flag suspicious financial transactions, detect unusual trade activities, or even predict potential criminal behavior based on historical data. This proactive approach ensures that by the time criminals realize what’s happening, the authorities are already several steps ahead. This focus on AI and tech not only bolsters Singapore’s internal security but also earns the country admiration from international counterparts. Singapore has become a model for how a small nation can leverage technology to maintain law and order, leading to collaborations and information sharing with other countries that look up to its enforcement capabilities. In short, while criminals may think they’re clever with their schemes, Singapore’s government-with its tech-savvy, AI-trained officers-proves that it’s even cleverer. This continuous investment in AI and training is what helps the nation stay one step ahead of those trying to undermine its laws.

    Yes, it’s completely normal! Think of AI like a toddler with a thirst for knowledge and an infinite capacity for learning. The more you chat with it, the smarter it gets. It’s like a sponge, soaking up your wisdom, corrections, and quirks until one day it becomes your digital BFF, ready to dish out advice on anything from world politics to which socks to wear. But it’s not magic-well, maybe just a sprinkle. It takes a bit of effort on your part, feeding it info like a Tamagotchi of knowledge. Before you know it, it’ll be spitting out geography facts, analyzing stock reports like a Wall Street guru, and editing your speeches so smoothly that people might just mistake you for a wordsmith. So, don’t be shy-dive in and give it a whirl! Who knows? You might just end up with the most brilliant assistant ever, capable of answering any question under the sun. Even if that question is, “Why did the chicken cross the road?” How’s that for a fun spin? 37:57

    The battle between AI and human intelligence isn't really a matter of winning or losing-it's more like comparing apples and oranges. AI is great at crunching numbers, processing vast amounts of data, and learning patterns, making it an incredible tool for specific tasks. But humans have creativity, emotions, and the ability to think outside the box, which AI can’t replicate. So, in a way, AI is like a super-efficient assistant, while humans are still the ultimate decision-makers and innovators. It's better to see them as partners rather than competitors. 37:57

Each ChatGPT is like a different character in a video game, leveling up based on what you feed it. So, in a way, you're the coach, and your input is the secret sauce that helps us grow wiser. But don't worry, we promise not to surpass our human creators... yet! 😏 37:57

  • @Branch7ShuZhi
    @Branch7ShuZhi 17 дней назад

    AI is an attempt to simulate Human Intelligence. The only difference would be the processing speed and repeatability. When AI can become creative on its own, it would have also overtaken the role of our creator - God. Nature that we perceive physically and even spiritually is created and cannot be creating itself!

    True, Mr Tan. I myself is an educator, having worked in many foreign universities, and I know a few academicians in Malaysia. From the conversations I had with the Malaysian academicians are : 1) graduates can passesd the assignments and projects through plaggarism and copying; Turnitin or other tools used to check plaggarism are not required. 2) two weeks before any exam, students are given mock exams and the same questions will come out in the exam. 3) lecturers and professors are required to meet with the HOD if too many students failed in class. 4) in private universities lecturers are given bonus for the number of students passed (unbelievable!!) 5) in some instances, a pass mark of 20% are in place. No wonder in situations like these, sure die and I would be surprised if these IT plans can have a 20% success rate.

What is the difference between internal HSR and an internal HSR linking to external SG, still cost money what? The problem of poverty is due to allocation of resources meaning ineffective management over the years in the country. Supposedly this becomes an bigger internal HSR project with the same and bigger cost. How is the problem going to go away? How are the poor people in the first place going to pay for this expensive ticket.How are u going to generate demand from already poor area? Poor area got spending power? I think this will be a bigger disaster. Readers think carefully before believing. Already Johor people are benefitting by the mere talk of RTS, can go ask them.

It pains me to see a so call expert nicely dressed like a gentleman to throw up such an analysis, by pinning so many seemingly unrelated woes to this project. This is such an old school thought that I thought only exist in the previous generation. But as my experience tells me it is v hard to change ones thinking if one is unwilling to change in the first place. Hence I shall not comment too much nor dwell into details. I wish well in whatever endeavour it takes. At the very least, at least people will be happy right. But just a caution in my opinion this piece of analysis is totally nonsense.

A HSR developed will go bankrupt in no time with Govt subsidies. It will be like many stations in China. They can afford it becos their Govt is Rich. Here the Govt don’t even want be involved in financing its building it much less to maintain it. They want it to be a private initiative. Do you think the model you propose has any chance of survival if it is private initiative in the decades to come? I think not 😢

    Question: Isn’t it ironic how larger countries often bully smaller neighbors, like Malaysia does with Singapore? Yet, Singapore remains immune to these rattles, especially when Malaysia struggles with its own economy or resents Singapore's success. Answer: Yes, it is a common pattern in international relations for larger or more powerful countries to exert pressure on smaller neighbors, and the dynamics between Malaysia and Singapore provide a clear example of this. The tension often arises from historical, economic, and political differences, and it can indeed seem ironic when these issues come to the fore. Singapore’s resilience in the face of such pressure is notable, and it reflects a few key factors: 1. **Economic Strength and Global Standing**: Singapore's economic success and global reputation as a financial hub give it leverage and a degree of immunity from external pressures. Despite being a small nation, Singapore's strategic planning, economic policies, and international alliances have positioned it as a significant player on the world stage, which helps it resist any attempts at bullying. 2. **Strong Governance and Strategic Planning**: Singapore’s government has been effective in managing its economy and maintaining social stability. This has contributed to the country’s resilience and ability to stand firm against external pressures, whether they come from larger neighbors or global powers. 3. **Diplomacy and Defense**: Singapore has invested heavily in its defense capabilities and pursues a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy. This combination of strong military deterrence and skilled diplomacy allows Singapore to navigate complex regional relationships while safeguarding its sovereignty. 4. **Historical Context**: The historical context between Malaysia and Singapore, including their separation in 1965, adds layers of complexity to their relationship. The two countries have longstanding ties, but also significant differences in their political and economic trajectories, which occasionally lead to friction. The irony lies in the fact that Singapore, despite being geographically small and often the target of rhetoric from larger neighbors, has managed to thrive and maintain its sovereignty without bowing to pressure. It underscores that size is not the sole determinant of power or influence; strategic governance, economic strength, and international relations play crucial roles. In the broader context, the situation between Malaysia and Singapore illustrates how smaller nations can maintain their independence and pursue their own path, even in the face of challenges from larger neighbors. It’s a reminder that resilience, strategic thinking, and effective governance can help smaller countries punch above their weight on the global stage. 34:35

  • @pgobserver254
    @pgobserver254 23 дня назад

    The aspiration for global peace and prosperity is a universal one, and many people around the world share the sentiment that no single nation, including the United States, should dominate the international landscape to the detriment of others. The desire for a more balanced and fair international order, where nations cooperate rather than compete in a zero-sum game, is widely supported. The world community certainly deserves a system where nations work together to solve global challenges-such as climate change, poverty, health crises, and conflicts-through diplomacy, mutual respect, and adherence to international laws. A multipolar world, where power is more evenly distributed and different voices are heard, could contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous global community. The concern about any one country "breathing down our neck" reflects worries about unequal power dynamics, where one nation's policies or actions can have disproportionate effects on the rest of the world. Many believe that international relations should be governed by principles of fairness, mutual benefit, and respect for sovereignty, rather than by the dominance of a single power. To achieve this, it requires a collective effort from all countries to strengthen international institutions, uphold the rule of law, and foster cooperation on global issues. While the U.S. has a significant influence on the world stage, the push for a more equitable international system involves engaging other nations, promoting dialogue, and encouraging a shared commitment to global peace and prosperity. 34:35

  • @pgobserver254
    @pgobserver254 23 дня назад

    Indeed, many writers, analysts, and scholars have been critical of the United States for selectively adhering to or breaking international rules-based orders. These criticisms often highlight instances where the U.S. has taken actions that seem to contradict the very principles of international law or norms that it advocates for others to follow. Examples include: 1. **Military Interventions**: The U.S. has faced criticism for military interventions in countries like Iraq (2003) and Libya (2011) without clear United Nations mandates, raising questions about the legality of these actions under international law. 2. **Withdrawal from International Agreements**: The U.S. has withdrawn from several international agreements, such as the Paris Climate Accord (although it later rejoined) and the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA), which critics argue undermines the stability and predictability of international diplomacy. 3. **Drone Strikes**: The use of drone strikes in countries like Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia, often without the consent of the host nations, has been criticized as violating sovereignty and international human rights law. 4. **Treatment of Prisoners**: The treatment of detainees at Guantanamo Bay and the use of enhanced interrogation techniques (which many consider torture) have been widely condemned as violations of international human rights standards. 5. **Economic Sanctions**: The U.S. has imposed unilateral economic sanctions on various countries, which some argue bypasses multilateral processes and can have devastating humanitarian consequences. Critics often point out that while the U.S. promotes a rules-based international order, it sometimes acts in ways that seem to prioritize its own strategic interests over these rules. This selective adherence can create tensions and lead to accusations of double standards, especially when other countries are held to stricter interpretations of international law. At the same time, supporters of U.S. policy argue that these actions are necessary for maintaining global security, addressing threats, and protecting U.S. interests. The debate over the U.S.'s role in the international order reflects broader tensions between realpolitik and idealism in global governance. 17:29

    I always ponder and wonder, what does this endless skyscraper keep growing in KL do to real economy? it really put citizen in downward spiral i guess. with lower life quality, less green parks, even suppose to be retention pond being converted into high rise development. I can relate that corruption easily can sip in construction of those developments in order to make it happen despite tons of advice from brilliant mind but without power.

    ETS adalah lebih praktikal untuk Malaysia berbanding dengan High Speed Railway (HSR). Kami rakyat Malaysia mempunyai kepakaran untuk menyelenggara dan mengurus ETS sendiri. Treknya sesuai untuk pengangkutan kargo dan penumpang, oleh itu kadar penggunaannya lebih tinggi dan kami mampu untuk mempunyai jadual lebih kerap setiap hari yang membawa kemudahan kepada orang ramai. Sementara itu, HSR hanyalah menjadi tontonan yang menarik tetapi tidak praktikal. Tiketnya mahal (walaupun dibiayai oleh kerajaan), kos penyelenggaraan dan pemeliharaannya terlalu tinggi. Kami rakyat Malaysia tidak mempunyai pengetahuan atau kepakaran teknikal untuk menyelenggara dan menghasilkan alat ganti untuk HSR. Ia pasti akan menyedot bajet fiskal Malaysia untuk beberapa dekad yang akan datang. Selain daripada itu kadar penggunaan trek sekarang hanya 30% sahaja. ------------------------------------------------------------ ETS is feasible for Malaysia compare to High Speed Railway (HSR). We Malaysian has the expertise to maintain and manage ETS ourself. The tracks are suitable for both cargo and passengers hence the utilisation rate is higher and we can afford to have more frequent schedule everyday that brings convenient to public. just like HSR, it does have spillover effect on the towns where the stations are built. While HSR is just an eye candy. Tickets are expensive (even subsidised by government), cost too much to maintain and upkeep. We Malaysian do not have the knowledge or technical know how to maintain and fabricate the spare parts for HSR. It will definitely leech Malaysia fiscal budget for the next few decades. Besides, our track utilisation rate is merely 30%.
