I'm really happy we're getting some updates on this massive project, miners haven was a big part of my childhood and it holds a big piece of my heart for sure. Can't wait to play third sac.
Im very sorry that you have to go through that, dont think too negatively and dont put all your eggs into one basket, look forward to the new MH but most importantly try to find joy in other things, make most of everything you have.
As much as I am excited for new sacrifice as someone who has played MH since 2016 it’s sad to see the distinct MH style being completely thrown away, I feel like any person before could distinct MH’s unique style from any sandbox but now it blends lots of styles and is less distinct, but still very impressed on the work being done
Miner's Haven has always changed its style over time, many of its maps are made using different techniques and ideas. I love classic Miner's Haven, but the best interest would be for Miner's Haven to move forward, not backwards. As for individual items, I think it's important for us to also focus on implementing items that come together nicely, where everything about the item feels connected and necessary.
Lowkey no hater type shit but miners haven is at its end of life in terms of a roblox game. With this update i definitely see a spike in player count maybe 1k - 3k players playing mh but its gonna dip in like 1 - 3 months. Getting new players constantly is a lot better for the game than getting all the old players back. Which should be done with constant smaller updates following a large update aka the 3rd sac. I really feel like all the smaller features thats not related to the third sac could've been added during the span when third sac was announced up until today. But that is just my opinion as a player thats been in the mh community since 2015 almost a decade now. And at this point since its been delayed so much i really feel like 3rd sac is gonna release on its 10th anniversary
Ya it's unfortunate, but this video pretty much confirmed to me that MH is almost certainly not going to be revived. This is a bit of a joke considering how long it's been, mostly boils down to a few additional mechanics and visual updates.
We hope that Third Sacrifice will be enough to revive the game enough to be active again. We still plan on implementing better tutorials for new players, not just for the first life, but for other mechanics as well. I've thought about whether we could split some of these features and release them as their own updates, but it's unfortunately not possible for us to do with how much systems work together. This update involves a lot of major rewrites, such as how all items are handled. We can't implement new Third Sac items all the time without having to rewrite the item completely to be compatible with the live game. Not to mention, some items require other major features to exist such as new status effects and the new conveyor rewrite. We also cannot add new features like the Hex currency because that depends on the aforementioned item changes. And the Tech Tree as well can't really be isolated on its own due to it requiring life requirement and sacrifice requirement values of every item included in it, which also goes back to the new way items are handled. We also wouldn't be able to push the in-game stat viewer as well because the information it goes off currently is new stats being added in Third Sacrifice. If we were to add it now, we'd have to update the information for every item so it's accurate to the live game. The list goes on but this unfortunately has been why we can't implement a lot of these mechanics on their own.
@@boredindahouse4818 I believe I only said early lives would've mostly remain unchanged, but even that isn't entirely true. The new Research Point farming system would greatly change the dynamic as the best method of generating RP will not be to feed the fastest mine into the best RP-providing furnace. I wish I was able to demonstrate this in the stream, but every rebirth item cannot be accessed every sacrifice anymore. We've locked a lot of Reborn items behind the sacrifices, so each sacrifice unlocks brand new items for you to unlock. We also changed most life requirements to span across the duration of the sacrifice. For example, no-sac Tech Tree items will be unlocked between lives 0-1000, most First Sac Tech Tree items are unlocked between lives 1000-5000, and most Second Sac Tech Tree items are unlocked between lives 5000-10000. I say most because there are some exceptions where items appear before those thresholds, but it shouldn't be a lot. The point is, even if these new mechanics don't seem like a lot, they will greatly change the progression dynamic.
Idk about this it doesnt have the miner’s haven specific feel that it use to have anymore, the style looks like a lot of the other modern games and it just doesnt feel special anymore. Usually im excited for change and of course this is very exciting but at the same time i dont know how i would like this new style. Basically miners haven use to be in its own world and now it seems like the game has moved worlds and its no longer the same game, i like everything new but the style just throws me off so much :c.
hello guys I’m totallymysterious aka asparagus aka Greg aka george aka berezaa andrew aka foxy and this is my tutorial on how to get from 3b to 9b in 37 minutes! *QUICk* *NO CLICKBAIT*
After Forbidden Sacrifice, I would really love for there to be themed updates unlike the repeating seasonal ones, such as a War/Combat themed update that adds the Tank, Weapon, alongside a better and Rewarding PvP system with skills and moves like a roll, dodge, extra jumps, etc. And a Weather/Natural Disaster update that adds more functionality and effects from different weather, perhaps a blood moon that spawns enemies at night that can trample over ores, the wind that increases/decreases conveyor speed depending on the direction of the wind which would make players opt to use the weather machine to disable those effects, and more. And other updates that could make great use of the map and the surroundings of the game.
I would love to do more updates with a theme that aren't based around holidays. I wanted to do one last August however we weren't able to get any items made in time for it to be done before Halloween came out. After we're finished with Third Sac, we'd finally have the time to do uniquely themed updates.
Miners haven isn't a completely unique game from other games like it but it does have a specific aesthetic that i think most people can agree on just does'nt feel very much the same in this and im not hating on it either but it does feel. strange.
I think they've been slowly phasing that aesthetic out ever since Berezaa stopped working on MH. Now it's feels like kid friendly, big colourful button, youtube shorts minimalistic slop
there needs to be more transparency and communication like this when it comes to delaying this stuff for a long ass time so i hope this is a recurring thing
The only thing I am worried about is having to re-configure my brain to the new items/menus, but that is heavily overshadowed by how hype this update will be.
interesting that the placement system more similarly resembles that of the tunicus one by default. although may i ask what happened to the grid texture?
Miner's Haven has used the same placement system for years and it hasn't always performed as well as it could've. Third Sac will come with a brand new placement system, however at the time of this stream it was still WIP (as made apparent by the delay between placing items)
Damn i gotta farm up all the the research points for blueprints and more for the skill tree since research points aint carrying over from the 2nd sacrifice
Okay yea I can see why 3rd Sac is going to take a while, holy cow theres already a lot of change going to happen and I've only reached 11 minutes into the stream haha
man they fully ripping the rng factor out the game with tech tree and removing loot crates idk how i really feel about that i feel that and now we gotta farm even more rp bruh
Research Point farming has always been bad, which is why we're updating it so you have to build proper setups to generate RP. But we're also not ripping out the RNG factor of the game, the Tech Tree is meant to gradually introduce players into new Reborn, Fusion, Evolution, and Enchant items, not serve as a guaranteed method of obtaining them. You still need to rebirth to obtain these items, and crafting Fusions, Evolutions, and Enchants remains the same (although they will be receiving updated recipes). In fact, Rare Reborns will be becoming significantly rarer as we begin treating them as proper Reborn items, their rarities will be accurately represented. (Currently, there is a chance you are guaranteed to get a Rare Reborn from Rebirthing, Rare Reborn rarities only matter relative to one another, not all other Reborns in the game). As old as Loot Boxes may be in Miner's Haven, more countries have been placing restrictions on them, blocking players from receiving new Exotics and Vintages in events. I'd prefer everybody share the same experience. In the current state as well, boxes are more time consuming than anything else because most returning players have enough boxes to guarantee they get new items every time something is added. I believe it's better we just offer box-exclusive items directly to the player without needing to wait through a random number of boxes to get it. RNG doesn't do much to increase any personal value in them when the means of unlocking them couldn't be any more effortless.
@@OutOfOrderFoxy one thing i really liked about the game was rebirthing and not knowing what ur gonna get cause its almost like recieving a present or what not so are u saying there still will be some rarer items that u can obtain thru rebirthing and not having to unlock it in the tech tree first?
i honestly hate the tech tree system alot and i also liked they had some rng in the game and they fully removed it almost via tech tree and taking away loot crates and instead being able to straight up buy them now
Miner's Haven has over 110 possible Reborn/Advanced possibilities. The player is not told what Reborns are made available to them and when. The Tech Tree serves as a way of introducing players to new items they can obtain without having to first encounter it through a random rebirth or from looking it up. All entries in the Tech Tree also require Research Points because this currency has been around since 2015 and has never seen any reoccurring usage. The Tech Tree will finally make RP feel more necessary as it's required to unlock new Reborns, Advanced Reborns, Fusions, Evolutions, and Enchants in the Tech Tree. Plus I feel Miner's Haven should have more features that gives the player a sense of progress.
