Maraming salamat sa review in English. Ang akong Tagalog is limited, and I had to leave off another review video because I could not follow along! God willing I will be retiring in the PI within a few years, and am trying to line up transportation. I have never heard of this brand, but am intrigued...
Talk about sulit! Others will be hard to follow Geelys footsteps on this update. Love the added features, Ventilated seat, power tailgate and black mags. Wala ka nag need i-add😍
That's why I just looove the Geely Emgrand! I think Geely is targeting this more as a Driver-centric vehicle, with its powerful performance and boy racer looks. The Emgrand is a much more sedate vehicle which they actually call an Executive subcompact sedan, I think in order to keep pricing at their target levels, some concession needs to be made :-) thanks for your comment!
I am averaging less than 7km per liter around town, irrelevant of which driving mode I use and 11km per liter on the highway. Most Coolray owners I know get similar mileage. It's the only drawback as it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
Don’t buy this if you like to watch your fuel gauge or need range :)). I do subscribe to the smile to the face every time you drive it! I came from a lazy Diesel engine and this puts a big smile on my face when I’m allowed to borrow it. Fortunately not to many times and never alone as I always go GT mode on it :))
Awesome car, too bad the Coolray depreciates quickly. Modern Chinese cars, on average, shed 30% of their market value after only 1 year. You can find a well-kitted 2020 Coolray Sport on the market for around 750k, and midrange MG ZS for 560k.
That's pretty much true of alot of cars. I think the important part of car ownership in my opinion is for you to enjoy every last ounce of it. We'll make sure to give you all the information you need to know in our reviews to give you an informed decision on what car is perfect for you no matter what the brand
@@ZigWheelsPhilippines yea but if resale value is a top priority (apparently it matters alot especially for many buyers) then this is not it. Every car except limited edition lambos and ferraris depreciates, yes, but ive been seeing these Chinese cars for 2/3 their value on the market already. For reference, most Japanese brands still hold on to 80% of their value after a number of years. I dont know how this bodes for a brand like Geely but for MGs it's the quality issues that have started coming up after 3 years of ownership that's sagging down their value retention nakakakita nako ng 2020 Mg ZS for as low as 500k sa market.
@@milopichu this is bcoz geely is relatively new sa market. soon it will have same same level of depreciation with the japanese cars. it was like the situation of japanese cars when it was new in the US.
@@jk5638 Toyota took years of consistency in reliability and desirability. And that's only Toyota to consider: other Japanese brands lose their value easily compared to toyota (tho not as fast as Chinese cars). Unfortunately mataas parin stigma against Chinese cars lalo na't wala pang pedigree models and no history to brag about, and kahit Hyundai and Kia nahihirapan sa segment na to. Geely is kinda like Samsung: overloaded with features and arguably ahead of the competition, pero it is what it is: a Samsung, and Samsungs depreciate quickly. Again, if youre looking to resale your car hoping to get a good price from it in 2-3 years, avoid Chinese cars FOR NOW. I personally wouldnt be buying a car just to resell it, pero siguro that's because im a privileged individual with no care about resale values; millions of other Filipinos usually look into how the vehicle gets appraised in case they might need to resell their car (emergencies, etc.) kaya ordinary folks still stick with known brands like Mitsubishi or Honda instead of exploring cars like with better tech and features like Chinese car brands like Geelys or even European cars like Volkswagen and Peugeot (both of which have meager value retentions as well). This is good for the pre-owned market tho. secondhand buyers are literally going to get well-kitted listings for less.
@@milopichu Let's wait for another 10 years and see if you are still correct. True, chinese cars cannot be compared as of now to japanese car. but it is a traditional way if we keep on looking at the future with skepticism. remember that all innovation started with it so its early to tell. right now, they chinesse cars are gaining ground and it just a matter of time it will catch up to other tested brands.
people here being too defensive with the FOOT airconditioning at the back. cmon youd want airconditioning straight up your face on a hot weather, not on your feet.
this is standard for all cars in this segment but others manage to actually give proper aircon vents for the face and upper body, not just for the feet. Not sure why this is a favorite emphasis tho haha
Meron akong gustong car ng geely kaso dyan sa pinas wala sya. "Geely Tugella" when I saw that car here in middle east napawow ako. Hopefully soon makabili ako non soon. Hehe
The Coolray feels sporty thanks to its turbo motor but there's also a lot of charm with the silent operation of the Cross' hybrid powertrain. If you want a fun car, go for the Geely. Practical daily driver the Toyota wins (that fuel economy too)

Maybe some window tint? But seriously, it is quite a fully loaded crossover for its price!
Doc artaiz haha
For those who doesn't know, Geely owns Volvo and Lotus.
This was brought to you by Uighur slave labor 🙃

Modding the HU is the key! Carplay and AA on my Coolray 👌
Did you replace your HU?
@@pinoyozzyworld Nope. Still the same.

How did you do it?
@@hanley1923 software based. Not an expert but it's just tweaking the firmware to include it in its feature set. I had someone do this for me.
The only major feature missing is the Automated Emergency Braking that the international version of the Coolray have.
The only thing lucking in the coolray is rear ac vent. The emgrand has, but coolray doesnt?

Panalo sobra! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Diba?! It rides so hard and aggresive, rarely will you see a car perform the same way as it looks!
Amazing review sir! Amazing looking car also! 🤩
We agree!
which is better this new 2022 coolray or 2021 ford territory??
There’s a review of that from other channel. Am thinking between the two also
Sir Roy, hope you can make a comparo of the Coolray Sport Limited and the MG ZS T 😊👍👍👍
Great review 👍
Nice review you showed how QD link works which other car reviewer doesnt.
How was the body roll?

Angas ng Coolray but that shirt though. 🔥🔥🔥
The biggest one that I think it needs to improve is 2nd row center aircon just like in the Geely Okavango.
Aircon or vent? 😄
Nobody's seems to be able to answer my question. Can this go up to Baguio?
We don't think this will have any problems at all!
people here being too defensive with the FOOT airconditioning at the back. cmon youd want airconditioning straight up your face on a hot weather, not on your feet.
hahaha oo nga naman kasi
There's an aircon vent at the bottom of the front seats
this is standard for all cars in this segment but others manage to actually give proper aircon vents for the face not just for the feet.
There is a rear vent it is under the passenger and driver's chair. Turn on the ac select the foot ac
yea it's for the FEET. many people actually prefer upper body airconditioning
I own a Coolray sport, it has vents under the front seats for passengers at the back..
