Your technique is looking really sharp these days, Travis. Not to say it hasn’t always been that way, but I can tell it’s improved even more. That’s awesome!
Haga makes several movements that show pressure backwards during his matches. De ashi, osoto, ouchi, kouchi all regular moments for him. This allows the forward uchimata great success.
It's not 50/50 left on right if you have inside control. You can always do this technique from the neck or back grip as well. It's just better to learn from the collar.
This is gold, the stuff your average sensei will never talk about. Thank you
Thanks!
As soon as I click on the video , I automatically "like" because I know its quality material! Thanks Sensei Stevens!
Well said and absolutely correct. Stevens knows his business and if he's showing it you better believe it works. Stevens is "All go & no show."
Wow, thanks! That means a lot!
Thanks Chris! That means a lot coming from you!
I love your focus on the set up
You explain to RUclips guys like me are really the best. Thanks. Talking about the corners is good. You have my curiosity.
This is the best throw showmanship wise.
My coach taught it to me as he used de ashi barai, uchi mata, ippon seoi nage and ko uchi gari/makikomi
They were his tokio waza
@@aasserelzoghby6781 those are all good ones

I appreciate that! I'm doing more judo these days making all the videos!
Well said and perfectly demonstrated sir. It's the core concepts of these setups that make the difference. Thank you!
Great video and amazing break down of the technique. Many thanks!
Ryunosuke Haga uses it everytime
And he is so good at it. I would love to get him on judofanatics.com

Great technique, thank you
Glad you liked it!
Very well explained, still get countered and/or lose control of the opponent sometimes , I guess I´m not putting enough weight .
That would always be my first guess!
@@TravisStevensgrappling Yeah haha.

Awesome !
Smooth
Damn that's pretty. Love it

Love iT 💪

Some would say that's a hanei goshi. I don't care. To me, uchimata has always been a hip throw.. Nice video.
LMAO
This works if you are great at Ashi Guruma and O Guruma.
This is more fpor those who prefer this japanese 50/50 grp isn't it?
