She just doesn't want to be someone other people want her to be, she would be only someone the best bc of ppl who love her and just bc of that, and if it weren't them, she would not care
People think drugs are cool and fun, but they really aren't. My first love was an addict, he was clean for 5 years when i met him. He met the wrong people, it only took one night for him to relapse and ruin his entire life. Family disowned him, he can't see his son, lost his job, home, car got repossessed has been in and out of detox and rehab for 10 months now. He tried using fake pee on a drug test i made him do once, it's been a long and tough ride. Addiction is not a joke, drugs change you. It's makes you do things you never thought you are capable of doing.

So true, my father is taking drugs since I was a baby. My mom tells me that and so others. I was 16y/o now. Having 3 little brothers. My dad is the best, He is. He never laid a hand to us.
He was once get to jail and I swear it broke me when I saw him getting arrested by the cops. But now he's with us. I'm just glad it's not too late for us, for him to realize that.
Agreed. My father in law was a drug addict for decades and his choices ruined his family for generations. The choices he made still affect his kids and his grandchildren to this day.
As someone who has OD, this is shockingly an edit that describes that mindset.

I hate it when people say this show romanticizes addictions but it doesn’t. It is a really beautiful work of art that discusses the struggles that people go through. Anyone reading this who are struggling with anything, i love you and i hope you get better and get the life you deserve. You only have one as you and you promise me that you will spend it fairly. You are worth it and anything is possible so you have a chance. I love you. Never give up.
I root for Rue and everyone she loves because this journey won't be easy.

as someone with BPD diagnosed as several things with PTSD, bipolar 2 and adhd umm rue i fucking love you. i love you, at times i had to look away cause it just hurt so bad but i really love you rue and i really cant wait for season 2 and im currently in therapy and im working on my PTSD thank you rue

2 years ago, I met someone who changed my life. His name was Ricky. I didn’t know it at the time but he was an alcoholic. Fast forward to this year, I finally saw what happens when alcoholic doesn’t drink. He was shaking, and puking. He went to rehab for 2 months for me. But soon after he broke up with me. Now I want to drink, but trying to stay sober. 💔

I have so much appreciation for the creators of this show, it is a reminder that no matter how hard it might feel, someone out there really understands the struggles, how difficult it is to get rid of something which in a way we need for us to continue navigating every day, society unfortunately chooses to only acknowledge those who seem perfect but if you are struggling with something no one is really willing to understand....

I don’t really understand one bit, her mum says she overdosed when she was 15 but when she’s getting the guy at aa to sign her thing for her she says she’s 17 so was it a year after her od that they put her into rehab?
She was 16 when she OD but her birthday is on September so she turned 17 (hope it make sense)
Im rue rn but pregnant and in love with my dealer..... I dont know what to do..... Im on drugs at this moment in time and i know that i should get clean and stop for the sake of this child inside me....... The daddies is gone and out of this world and I can't talk to him anymore...... I can't do this!!! I have thought so many times about taking my life just like my baby daddy did but i cant bring my self to do it..... I dont know what the fuck to do anymore
You gotta stay strong. I can't imagine how you're feeling, but know that it will be okay no matter what. If u decide to keep the baby, stay strong for it and for the babby daddy. Years later you will look back and be happy and proud of yourself that you didn't end your life. Give the kid a happy life. If you decide not to keep it, that's okay too, it's your choice. Keep your head up. If you need anything we're here. Much love ♡

@@haileyconway6426 you can do it i believe in you and if you keep the kid stay clean for them so they can have a good relationship with them I know what its like to have a parent as an ex addict my dad he was on heroin and he got clean for me I wasn't aloud to see him untill he was clean and he did it do you can do it for your kid
