A Quick Shave and Brush-Up (1900)

Like G.A. Smith's earlier Old Man Drinking a Glass of Beer (1898), A Quick Shave and Brush-Up is a vehicle for the Brighton comedian Tom Green, whose various grimaces when shaving and grooming himself constitute the entertainment. It's also a record of a time when cut-throat razors were a standard part of a gentleman's toiletry kit.

Yeah pretty much like my grandpa and dad did it. a good soap made from ash and oel a soft brush some rosewater and Talkum powder that smelled like a walk through the forest. It was a magical experience in my childhood to watch them shave

actually, because any film in the past done with chemicals, has an almost atomic level of color density/depth, you can go way past bluray and into super super super super super super super super bluray. Interestingly, many movies that are filmed at 450 and 1080p and 4k will only be able to be sharp at those resolutions for all of eternity. In otherwords, Star Trek Next Generation, filmed at less than 1080p, I believe at 640p, will never be as sharp as a transfer of this very video you are watching right now. Isn't that super ironic?
