Big Chief Juan Pardo with Skage & The Procrastinators

Difficult to get good film quality in the dim light at the Fremo Stage, but the clip is still very interesting, as well as stone funky…The band plays a version of ‘Chan Chan’ by the African group Kora Jazz Trio while Big Chief Juan Pardo chants the New Orleans Mardi Gras classic ‘Hou Na Neh’ on top of it…the African connection is secured. An honour to be on stage with this man.
