Apparently with Gold/Silver the purpose was to take exactly the same notes & manipulate them differently to construct 2 different fragrances.
As you mentioned they’re both made up of Juniper, Coriander, vanilla, nutmeg, musks & ambery wood molecules.

I have both and prefer the gold. On me it has great longevity. Not as radiant as the silver but lasts long and is deliciously sweet
It smells like baby formula which is pleasant indeed.
When I sprayed this on perfume testing paper I couldn’t smell anything. But when I put it directly on my skin, I loved it. If you’re looking for something soft, beautiful, pretty and comforting i would recommend this. Also heard that it can smell slightly different on different people. Great everyday perfume that isn’t offensive, overbearing and perfect to wear to the office, if you’re a mother or to elegant sophisticated events and you want to be that feminine pretty girl
❤ I love GFG. I was even thinking of graduating from the 2.4 oz to the 6.8. It’s a lovely vanilla with some interest at the top, but yes, it does not radiate much off of me. However, I don’t think all of his fragrances need to rampage like Baccarat.
I own this perfume myself and in my experience other people smell the perfume more than you do yourself when wearing it. I do love this perfume though, warm and comforting.
I own both, the gold and the silver. The gold is sweeter, and heavier than the silver. On my skin, GFG is elegant and warm. I like it a lot. It does project, but it is not overwhelming.
My husband wears the silver one. I feel that it is a cold fragrance. It is very clean and more masculine than the gold one.
I should try to layer them both.

I have this and wear it during the warm/hot summer months. My husband really likes it on me and noticed this, even though he rarely notices my perfume even though I have dozens of fabulous niche fragrances. The first time I wore it, he hugged me and said, “oooh, you smell like Harrod’s!” And we’re ‘Mercians in the U.S., so the Harrod’s comparison means it’s pretty special smelling
The bottle alone with the purple colored perfume looks so gorgeous, easy pick for a Kurkdijan collection…
This guy gives me asmr,I always feel a nice gush from my neck down my spine with his mannerisms.

This is the best one in the line to me and running neck and neck with Oud Satin Mood. (Not a big Rose guy, but that’s really good). Yes i like it better than 540 as well which is great.
I had an all day meeting, and chose to wear GF Gold bc it seemed crowd pleasing. I definitely noticed people moving in closer to me. I love Violet as a note so make sense that I like this. It lasted all day, and the silage was about two feet to start, then about 1 foot after about 4hrs. Palmer Violets! 😂 Happy Holidays Aaron!
Man listen to me. I wore this one time to an event and the compliments were non stop on me. It smells amazing and blended perfect to me. The longevity is amazing. Now I don’t do feminine leaning fragrances but this is as far as I’ll go. Great Fragrance and i like it better than the Silver.

@@omw2fyb935 the gold one. It actually use to come in purple liquid but not any more. But yea if any man but definitely a woman wanna smell like money and “I’m the ishh” then this will put you in that light. Next to Oud Satin Mood it’s my favorite 1 yep even better than 540 which is a legend.
@@omw2fyb935 it’s a great floral smell but not that old lady floral that all parfumes end up smelling like. It’s great.
This and Grand Soir is my favorites, got Gentke Fluidity Silver for my Husband, but looks like my son wants GFS more.

GFG is light and airy, but smelles really good in the air, great it warm weather. To me it's like a whimsical vanilla in the air.

You should try this fragrance on a hot summer day. That is when it performs the best. I also don't get much projection during the winter months.
I live in Australia and in peak summer at the moment. It’s slightly better in the humidity but it’s no monster. I find you still have to move in to smell it.
I’m so glad you found this flat as well…I purchased GFG after smelling it on someone who owned an earlier batch. Her GFG was radiant. However my batch was is so flat it doesn’t radiate off my skin at all. Have tried it on numerous other people and each has resulted in the same wear.
Try it with a petrolatum or unscented cream underneath

I really love it as a cozy scent. It’s linear and comforting to me, but also feels clean. I use it a lot, but is a great layering scent. I see what you mean by flat, but I enjoy that in a way, it doesn’t shout that it’s there, but if someone hugged me it’s there.

OK Mr Hughes. You've sold me. Been watching these video for weeks now, nonstop. Just made an order for these from Maxaroma: Tabac, Oud, Hard Candy, Haze Black and Blue, Daddy, and Boss Bastard. If these are good then next round is some combo of Guapo, Patchouli Noir, Blood Orange, Legend, and Maverick. Never buy fragrances drunk people! Don't be like me...Fingers crossed.

This is on e of my ladies favorite fragrances of all time.
I think this one is the one my girlfriend likes. The silver and gold can be layered to make a fantastic fragrance. I really enjoy his house because it’s different and most of his stuff is radiant off my skin.
I find this extremely potent. It projects massively and has insane longevity.
Hey Aaron, what types of chemicals are typically used for the coloring of fine fragrance? I’ve made a fragrance batch that I want to turn light pink. The current color is a slightly tan color.
Gold and silver was meant to be layered to be a all year round fragrance silver was warm climates and gold was for cold 😊

I remember testing silver and gold straight away when they came out with samples one could easily buy when MFK was cool and meant to be accessible to the people. And my experience was entirely different than yours in the video.
Gold smelt warm, vanillin kinda opulent and very resent where silver smelled tamed, extremely clean. Concept wise Gold reminded me of grand soir vs petit matin. Cause gold seemed so all out vs the silver.
Maybe they changed stuff up when MFK got bought. My wife was in Paris in one of their stores last year. It’s an obnoxious luxury brand like any other where staff treats you like worthyless

I love this! I spray a lot of it though because it is light. I don’t get the parmaviolets smell at all thankfully. It does last quite a while on me but I am in the Middle East where it’s hot. If I had a signature fragrance this would be it.
Love your reviews. Why does this fragrance smell EXACTLY like vanilla Playdoh to me? I mean I love playdoh but don’t want to smell like it. Disappointing after being so obsessed with his Baccarat rouge
Love your reviews Aaron! I own this perfume, I like it. However, it doesn't radiate off my skin, very poor sillage! Generally, it takes a beast to radiate off my skin.
From the MFKs I own/ and have samples, this is somehow in my case the most in sillage; prefer this over silver, might become signature.
Have this 1 thought it was a little feminine. But I still love the way it smells so I reach for it every once in a while

I had a tiny sample of this and I felt the performance was lacking as well. Like you, I tried it on a cold day, but it became a skin scent soon after applying
Hopefully he does some great things with Dior but honestly the MFK eponymous brand has been quite boring.

I agree with this being heavy. It’s 100% a personal scent, projection doesn’t exist with this. Hoping to try it in the warmer months to see if my thoughts change because I do like the scent.
While I don't dislike the smell (neither do I love it) I also find it to be very flat and 'sticky' in a way, I remember spraying it on at a department store and thinking it feels like a fragrance oil, more like a film of vaseline almost on my skin, super intense when sniffing up close though.
I’d be interested to see if marks change after revisiting fragrances. I’ve had some fragrances that turned from likes to loves after leaving them for a bit.
I don’t know why but I can’t stand his work. Br 540 is built around this one smell I can’t stand and I will never understand how it’s so popular.

I am more of a Dominic Rapion and Jacques Guerlain kind of girl but I wanted at least one mfk in my collection after hearing of the longevity and performance lol. I went for the gentle fluidity gold because it’s the only one I liked. Oud satin mood is also nice but I am not a huge fan of synthetic oud, especially for those price points. I have enough sources to get the real thing lol. The best way I can describe Francis Kurkdjian is he is a clever perfumer. He knows what the masses like and how to deliver it to them. Many of his scents are not as sophisticated or elegant as I like. I am sure he has the talent to create niche olfactory art pieces but he definitely knows how to cater to the larger crowd and in a way that still makes him a genius without having to prefer his work myself lol.

I find most of the mfk perfumes on myself to be overrated in my opinion but each to their own, but on my girlfriend they smell incredible so maybe it’s her skin

I gave away my bottle because I can't smell it on me and when I do it smells like a piece of nougat which is strange on me.. then whenever I smell it on my friend whom I passed the bottle on to, I luuuuuuvvve it, like I can't stop inhaling her and want to grab her hahahaha

I personally dont find it breathtaking. Yes definitely I find it flat however I get massive compliments when I wear it. It stays stagnant for me it does not do much however its a crowd pleaser so am always on the fence with it however when my bottle finishes I will not repurchase

I actually really like Gold Fluidity. On me it smells very vanilla boozy and last on me a long time and I get tons of compliments so projection is good on me. On me it’s not musky at all. I had a sample and bought a full size bottle.
It has the same notes as the Silver but it’s configured in a different order making it smell different from the Silver.

Oh my it smells cheap and yes very heavy def a lot going on. Thank goodness I just purchased a sample yes musk heavy also and I love musk but it's just cheap smelling. Very disappointed
