    The translate for what he said in 7:44 and what I heard him say is different.
    What he said was "I loved Saieda because she depends on herself, she works with her hand and she doesn't find it difficult to do so. She over comes all the difficulties. I loved her well power". So basically he loved her because she is a strong independent woman.

    The husband needs to adapt to his new life and it would be better for him to learn Korean. He seems like a nice guy but he also needs to open up more and get comfy in his environment. The mom is sweet and hard working and I understand her frustration. She worked so hard to raise her child in a foreign country and now he is grown up and isn't showing her any effort.

    I'm Canadian and recently found this program and got hooked. For those who bad mouth about Koreans being racists please use some common sense. Everywhere is the same, If Korea is filled with racists, the mother wouldn't leave her country to start over her life in Korea. For Faris having a hard time to find a job because it is every university graduates' problem. Job interviewers were shocked to learn that Faris is Korean only because the neutralization program was newly introduced to the country. It takes time for people keep up or to be enlighten. My hairdresser is Korean in Canada and he visits Korea more than twice per year and he has no idea about Korea with immigration program. Everything takes time.

    I was crying a lot, deep down. I understand most of the challenges immigrants encounter abroad since I am one of them myself. These challenges might stem from a variety of factors, such as a language barrier or an incapacity to understand, acquire, or even pursue an education at an international university. Consequently, most people find it more difficult to adopt or even make progress in life while they are trying to keep up with daily living. Acquiring knowledge in a foreign language is difficult, let alone speaking it or simply interacting with people. Still, I was impressed by Saida's diligence and her will to advance. She is an incredibly powerful woman with the capacity to work even harder and better.

    I like him raised by parents from two different countries in South Korea and I am inspired by his matureness in adversity. On the other hand, the female Filipino politician 이자스민 is inclined to conduct political actions for the Philippines rather than Korea, although she became Korean. Anyway, the son in the video seems proud to be Korean.

      They pronounced his name as "Paris", because in Korean language, there is no words that starts with the letter "F". Also Koreans can't pronounce the "F" sound properly because it doesn't exist in the Korean language. The "F" sound just becomes a "P". So the "Faris", is turned into "Paris" in Korean.

Of course there were few that did not like women taking some jobs, but there was never protest against it. In Arab nation, its not greatly looked upon if a women took a mans job. I think thats what she was trying to convey.

  • @sawaa2694

    tbh the son seems abit lazy and down *??* .. when he spoke in Moroccon Arabic dialect i could barely understand him , its weird because his mom speaks in the Syrian Arabic dialect which most arabs from all Arabic countries can understand... He will be better off if he learnd the syrian arabic dialect.

    • @sawaa2694
      @sawaa2694 7 лет назад

      Kerry Kim yup she's from morocco, but when she was speaking arabic she was totally speaking it in the Syrian dialect even when she was talking to her son, thats why i was able to understand her although I'm not syrian. I assume that he learnt the moroccon dialect from his mom before she got married to the Syrian man ..but he should change

      did you see the picture of her and her family? You'll be surprised how in 20 years things can change! Like any migrant, when you have an opportunity, you take it! Maybe if she had waited a year there, everything would have been different, but she didn't. It's not because they appear to be civilized that the picture was not taken in the middle of moutains! If she's a big liar, who are you then?

    I think Faris has somehow lost his identity, even tho Koreans can never accept him as a Korean ...
    he at least should try to show his roots a bit, cause Koreans mostly don't like people sticking to them.
    but that all what he has known I suppose, wish he didn't drink tho on camera ... he needs to find other Arab friends
    to just feel related in a group...

    • @utah123ify
      @utah123ify 7 лет назад +18

      Why shouldn't he drink on camera? He grew up in Korea with Korean culture and has lived his whole life in Korea. That makes him Korean in my books.

    • @rorik.3842
      @rorik.3842 7 лет назад

      +What2143 well he isn't and as you see koreans don't see him as one, maybe in your book not in koreans book which is the ugly truth.

    • @utah123ify
      @utah123ify 7 лет назад +18

      I know Koreans care about ancestry, but I don't. The law doesn't either. He is a naturalized citizen of Korea, he is a Korean national who grew up in the country with the culture.
      I also think it's strange that you say he has lost his identity. His only identity is the one he currently has. Tell me, what is his old identity? Just because he is from Morocco he has to be Muslim?

    • @rorik.3842
      @rorik.3842 7 лет назад +1

      Sure everyone by law is Korean, but that doesn't work in korea not in the society nor in the work sector. This is the ugly truth whether you see him as a korean or not you can't affect or change that side of the Koreans.
      He has to be Muslim ? he is a Muslim, there house and restaurant has Islamic verses all over the wall ... now tell me if you aren't Arab and you don't know any of these things what are you saying really?
      Yes, he lost it the moment he tried to erase every inch of it, so just because he was raised there (not born really) doesn't mean he doesn't have that part of him as a Moroccan or a Muslim it will always be a part of him .. identity is something that you are born with more than something you makeup and choose originally then things that you add on comes on place. I think him accepting his own past and origin will on the other side make him stronger as a Korean (by-law) cause trust me people have no respect specially Koreans to someone who doesn't respect his own "ancestry" and no one ever does.
      and we can argue about identity definition and stuff, but I have no idea what are you on about here? I mean why are you even arguing me? he has no old or new identity you made that thing up, there is a whole identity of everything that made you and defines you every little bit from birth till this day.
      so just drop it, it doesn't matter if it's " like that for you and the law" cause last time I checked Koreans didn't care about your opinion nor mine.
