Good job beating Vivaldi to win the Vesemir card! Already showing a vast tactical improvement. One tip if you get weathered and have a clear weather in hand, save it to the end, as you can keep playing cards into that row, then undo the debuff. Also rival decks may pack more than one weather. So clear them both in one fell swoop!
@@JxStn. First and foremost - you started gwent adventure from arse-side ;) You may buy cards from some of merchants and/or innkeepers, you may also play with almost EVERY merchant or inkeeper in the game (first win with NPC = 1 card more for one of your decks) ... and 9/10 times poor person = weak deck = easy win... so I suggest you to start playing gwent in Velen and take a tour around inns there as they are much much weaker then those in Novigrad... AFTER you beat some nameless quest-less merchants and gain more cards then try to play quest-wise - it will all turn much much easier with stronger deck :) Good luck and have fun! EDIT: Oh and by the way - that story in theatre... it's basicaly reminder of Geralt's past - Emhyr was once cursed and looked like a monster, he seduced princess Pavetta and on their weeding day Geralt saved him then asked for "something he have but he have no idea yet"... so basically for Ciri as Pavetta was early pregnant that time ;)
Dudu as Ciri never gets old to me. So much emotion with so few words. Zoltan's deep friendship with Geralt, and Geralt's love, longing, and fears for Ciri - who only Dandelion and Dudu have seen in the past 6 or 7 years. Masterpiece of writing, acting, and animation. Plus, after all our wandering around Velen and Novigrad, it reminds us that this is personal for Geralt; he's looking for his daughter, who is in danger!👌
Save your clear weather card for the end of the round... cause you never know how many weather cards the opponent will throw down... for all the rest youre doing fine.
Lady called Marquis Serenity in Passiflora that Vivaldi mentioned after the Gwent game is not just a playable character, but she also sells some OP cards too.
lol.. Geralt's quote for "the Invisible hand of the Market" by Adam Smith had me laughing...(1:29:20) first time i notice that... Geralt must be a time traveler, or a seer/prophet for to see that far in the future😂😂
> Dopplers [Book Lore]: The doppler who was being burnt when you arrived in Novigrad has been 'hiding' as Chappelle, head of the Eternal Fire's secret service (ie; Gestapo) since before the short story 'Eternal Flame', in the book 'Sword of Destiny'. Although the stories don't form a single narrative, that would probably be about 20 - 25 years ago! > The Play [Book Lore]: is the short story 'A Question Of Price' (in 'The Last Wish' book). Queen Calanthe of Cintra hired Geralt to prevent the 'wrong' person becoming betrothed to princess Pavetta and Geralt invoked the 'law of surprise' as his price (give me what you find at home but didn't expect). A cursed knight (rather than a doppler) turned up but instead of killing him Geralt lifted the curse. Pavetta was not only already in love with the knight but pregnant and the unexpected baby was Ciri, who thus became bound to Geralt by destiny ... and 'Something More'. > 👍Well done on the gwent, you're definitely getting better. > Middle two lines wrong in the play, but it only affects how much Irina pays you and how many XP you get for the quest so it doesn't matter. Mostly, it's all just a humourously change of pace from the monster-hunting.
The area you gave the crystal over, there is a wall you can break. FyI when you go to the wedding there is a unique card on the second level of the barn.
It makes me so anxious that you're not taking the stuff from the notice boards. Please do, it containes alot of cool witcher contracts. Especially in Novigrad, there's one called "Following the thread" I think you really should do
Don't sweat the Gwent. You missed a lot of cards early on. There is a tournament quest later, but it will be hard to win now because you'll be missing some key cards. Hint: hold off until late in the round with specials and horns. Your opponent may think it is winning a round or pass thinking it won the round, then you slam it with a horn, get your points back on a row with clear sky, or wipe one of its rows with a weather card. Also, noticed others told you to hold off on the Now or Never quest until you meet up with Yen. You will meet her soon, and no one told you to also be somewhat non-committal in your dialogue choices when you first encounter her if you still want to leave the romance option open with Triss. Enjoying the playthrough!
I did the same mistake on my first playthrough, I didnt remember my script and I selected Drama, not Comedy so I ended up killing everyone after the show. HAHAHHAHA
If you're opponent passes. And you just need to drop one card to win the round. Place your lowest value card, unless it has some ability you can use later like the blue stripes commando. Often times I like to play the card that puts me just ahead of them so they are forced another turn and so I can save my better cards for the end. You will run into things like the scorch card that will take out the highest card on the board. So if you are able to save your better cards for later you might miss getting your best cards removed. Also, clear weather at the end of the round if need so you can clear everything they drop. Also, should have switched the Vesemir with 1 card. Nice improvements here though man.
Yesterday the Switch 2 was revealed, and Nintendo said more details will be shown off in April. It will be backwards compatible, so you can get that and then be able to play Tears of the Kingdom and other Switch games you’ve been wanting to play.
The people don't scream because of you particularly. In some streets in Novigrad are Bandits/Thugs/Thief and if you walk/run near them they draw their weapon to attack you. Normally they only there at night but in some streets they are also at day. That's why the people starts to scream. Same as if you draw your weapon or start to punch in the air ( if uou accidently press the attack button😬)
if you can, try to make one of HIS troops, not including heros, to be the highest strenght unit. He wont play his scorch spells and kill his own. Once you have the highest power troops, opponents will start using scorch to kill them. Try not to have too many units with the same strength, because a scorch will kill them all

DUDE, when he passes in gwent, he cant play any more cards. He had 5 pts, you should have played a 6 siege card and the passes to win 6 to 5. Play the other spy next round.

With that leader, you get a card when you win
