I stumbled upon your Witcher 3 journey by chance. As a Witcher fan since 25 years, and especially The Witcher 3 (since 2015, best gift ever!) I love to watch you enjoy and explore this one for the first time. It obviously still is a lovely, lovely game, and I'm glad you're having fun with it!

Oh, and one addition (I had to split watching the video due to time issues, so I'm just coming back to it). Delighted to see you took on one of the favorite quests of many players, "Following the Thread" (aka the Karadin Quest). This one produced one of the favorite non-canon pairings in fanfiction - only by mentioning a character. :)

Good for you! The books are set 20+ to 5 years before the games and, obviously, add a LOT to the lore. 'Last Wish' first, as you're doing, then 'Sword of Destiny', the other book of short stories. The standalone novel 'Season of Storms' can be read next or skipped (being standalone it doesn't affect much else), then there's the main 5-novel saga, starting with 'Blood of Elves'. Sapkowski's just released a new novel too but it's only available in Polish at the moment.
Since you're reading now it would be spoilers to give you my literary analysis of Triss and Yenn as characters. Wish you'd romanced both though, for the game.

First of all - congrats on picking up the books, they are truly amazing (and will give you a whole new level of appreciation for the games).
Also great choice with changning the difficulty, your fights finally have some stakes and you are checking the bestiary (maybe try to craft some more potions, oils and bombs; also check the decoctions, some of them have very cool effects).
Hero cards are universal, you can add them to any deck.
While fighting on a horseback - don't tap the attack button, hold it (the time will slow down and you'll be able to realease the strike at the right moment).
"A" that you got the letter from is Alvin - a character from "The Witcher 1". He was a source (a person born with powerful but hard to control magical abilities) and most likely traveled through time and space to warn you about The White Frost (I'm gonna stop here, no spoilers)

3:50 - Difference to Yennefer - she would abandon everyone and everything (except Ciri and while in good mood Geralt, rest? They may rot in hell unless they are useful for unicorn lady) :)
8:10 well - you may save them both, you may save only one orrr you may let witchhunters slew pair - depend on what happen you will get different conversation, bad luck this time, next time you will get it! :D
8:55 this note help you enter whoreson junior arena, it's been there from last x-episodes :'D
14:40 Triss in books is really minor character, small insecure girl , time to time scared, other time intimidated, madly in love with Geralt who see noone other then Yen... while rest of mages have their character and personality really strong and defined in the books she is like "sabrina teen witch" in comparison. She get her character development in last chapters of last book and then in appendices to it but... it's far too late for people who not read carefully to notice so they still think on her like on the start of book saga. Games (in W1 and W2 you have triss but no yennefer) picked up from that end of books and continued her development till she became full fledged romance option... but not everyone read books to the end carefully, not everyone played all games, so yea... most people prefer self centered bitc... ekhm, yen :) #TrissTeam
27:20 Romancing both give you one very... unique and funny quest :'D
    1:21:20 Refference to Witcher 1
Kings Gambit - you ruuuushed, next time take a look around - you are able to talk to some folks on that place before you meet Birna... and even win something nice on fistfight :D Also each of three options: Cerys/Hialmar/None bring you one of different epilogue on the end of game :D Aaaaalso... if you go with Hjalmar you will undercover other side of berserker's story - replay replay later on :D PS: You may find Birna's body later on locked to the rock on Skellige ;)

So the game doesnt make it clear but in terms of Dijkstra plotting against Radovid for his assassination it isnt done yet, it actually breaks off into another quest called reasons of state. In order to complete killing Radovid you have to do this quest which can only be unlocked 2 ways. 1 way is completing all 3 assassin quests (A Deadly Plot, An Eye for an Eye, and Redania's Most Wanted quest) however the other way is just by completing A Deadly Plot quest and then bribing Dijkstra instead of breaking his leg at the end of Blindingly Obvious quest. If you fail to do either of them 2 options then you won't get the chance to do the reason of state quest and Radovid will remain king. Just thought I'd give ya a heads up since the game doesn't exactly let you know. Many do thr deadly plot quest and thinks thats it and Radovid will die, this isnt the case though.

@@I-Am-Batman_1988 I appreciate the head ups! This game seems like it was designed to be played multiple times because there’s so many quests and no hints that they will fail if you don’t do specific things lol
