I'm kind of interested to see a junk jet, body-armour, hoarder run. You completely fill the chamber with body armour and big shields maybe.... so you have stupidly ramping block, and a way to convert item use into damage.
The only issue I see is that turn 1 you have 0 block and Junk Jet falls off rather fast, we kinda did that here: ruclips.net/video/LkH_jZB4fNc/видео.html
@@DexTag The turn 1 block issue is why I mention big shields, though some other shield could certainly do the trick as well, big shields would just allow you to get away with fewer stacks of hoarder and thus activate the build somewhat sooner. If it needs an additional damage outlet, you could probably use Felina and mix in some energy drinks... So long as you can control when an energy drink goes in you should be able to avoid disaster, and become virtually impervious to damage. Also it would be hilarious to see you get nuked by a 1'000'000 strength kitty hitting an enemy with reflect up, even funnier if you manage to survive. The recycling bin junk jet video was insane, I can see how Junk Jet would struggle really getting anywhere without that recycling bin synergy.
@@DexTag I wonder if there is something to be done with about 20-50 gauntlets a handful of helmets and energy drinks, and as many shields (small ideally, so more can fit in) as the game will let you have... the machine should be overflowing even after the helmets and gauntlets have been cleared out...
3 gauntlets, 5 metal shields, 3 armor, 2 magnets, 1 hand of midas, several junk jets, several vampirisms, and a lot of golden armor and gold. Junk jet did 10 damage each turn per copy of the perk, and with, uh, 5 vampirisms, each junk jet healed for 50 per turn. Was playing with the extra gold guy IIRC.
sheeesh you certainly made that a rough start on your self, i more or less tried this with out the weapon exclusion, but mostly had ended up just stacking strength and spikes just letting ole kitty bop em to death
Jey Dex, thanks for the video ❤🎉 especially bc it takes yoi so much time! Just a quick Tipp again: When you are at the healing fountain with normal water, fill up a flask, do you get an healing potion ❤😊
I did a Junk Jet Hoarder Recycling Bin ‘pacifist’ run with the vampire. Like you, I pulled Junk Jet in the first floor and Hoarder at the boss. I then took recycle bins and plastic. The bins eat so much plastic each round that the Junk Jet damage usually second round one-shots most every enemy up to the bosses. Just keep adding Hoarder and plastic to keep stacking the pacifist damage and self heals from first round damage. I went all the way to floor 48 before messing up my run.
With ur gold dagger run as inspiration i tried the setup myself and am at floor 66, its honestly exhausting to even get to that point. Rerolling infinitely sounds good until you have to click thousands of times 😂
They should add a perk or item that makes the Claw move down the chute so stuff gets in the tunnel easier. Really helpful when magnets become a problem because of magnetism.
I would like to see a Gauntlet and Spike Shield run. Using Vampirism and Junk Jet helps to supplement health. If you get enough Bargain, you can become immortal
Dex, I have a question: If you were going for a block build with a junk jet, why didn't you go for the gauntlet at 20:35? Gauntlet = the more items you pick up, the higher your block (I got it up to 8 block per item once), and since you're incentivized by the gauntlet to pick out as many items as possible every single round, that also leads to the junk jet dealing more damage per turn
Might of been better to get a magnet and use the metal shield + body armor + gauntlet. I kinda had this combo going unintentionally once, and I'd get tons of block quite easily.
I wonder if there's something can be done with metal armour (body armour, metal shield, gauntlet) + magnets... Something similar to this run but where you try to stack as much block as possible. Get enough remove 3x poison perks, and it could be some sort of immortality run?
Just wondering, wouldn't picking up the bombs from the final boss be against the rules of the challenge? Same with the burning fluff from that other boss (reflect guy) Since *technically* you picked up an item that inflicts damage on the enemy? Not that it would have changed anything and tbh a fun video is more important than any rules
Hmmm I think this mostly depends on how serious someone wants to be about this, but I would say this falls under the same category of "it's fine if I do it with perks", since my only rule was that I won't get damaging weapons/items, but stated nothing about such a niche case. E.g. if I got the burning Fluff from the boss, I would've been fine using it (speaking personally how I feel morally about it). But I am either way relaxed, for me it's more like "could I", so if I get one per accident I wouldn't reset (just like I didn't in the video). So for me it's a "totally fine since the main point was preventing damage and not dealing damage"
@@DexTag Okay, danke! Again, I don't think it went against the idea of the challenge or anything, but I might try this one myself and wanted to play by your rules :D
First tip -- have fun. Another one, as with most deck-builders, is realizing that NOT having items is often way better than having under-performing stuff. You have limited items dropped into the pool each turn.
wait....did you forget how many times you have stacked both mirror and picky for that 3x useage of an item??? lololol someone pull this man out the machine he has been clawling around the dungeon to long
@DexTag remember me me and my son are healed up completely man what is wrong with my comments that it keeps deleted either entirely or just replies too bad you can't have third party RUclips
21:04 theres a weird cut so its hard to say what was picked from the first claw, but doesnt the picky perk apply to BOTH claws in a turn? so if you got one item with the first claw, the second claw would not double a singular item? I ask because you are starting to sound like a fluff conspiracy theorist LOL fluff only counts as a item when it is a prize ball rolling down the reward slot
Ok here we go, 15:52 proves my point, you got a piggybank and one fluff, both were released by the claw and the piggybank still got doubled by picky. (pointless rambling, but Im not gonna delete it) {looking back, something about picky does seem to be glitchy, you got the picky perk about 12 minutes in, and at 13:44 you got two items, but somehow the armor got doubled before the shield fully fell in... no scratch that, it was knocked out of the claw before it opened, so it counted as a picky grab, then the shield fell in, and since a single item fell in first, the shield didnt also get doubled.}
Here is what we figured out about the picky perk (it's only about picky, not the one that doubles the first item as some think), and this is partially credited to a comment who pointed that out ot me: -Picky will ALWAYS double anything picked up alone, on each of the 2 turns -the problem is defining "alone". If the claw includes Gold and Fluff, then it is not "alone", unless the Gold/Fluff fall in BEFORE the item. If it's still in the claw, then the item won't get doubled. If Gold/Fluff fall in first, the item will get doubled. I think what the game does is it only checks if something is still in the claw and if something got already doubled -If an item falls out of the claw before it opens, it also counts as alone and it will use the turn it's on to check whether it should be doubled or not. The cases that exist are: Item jumps/falls in before your first claw even does anything, item falls out of the claw before the claw is opened, you only pick up 1 item with the claw, item jumps/falls in between the 2 claws, second claw drops in a single item, item jumps/falls in after the last claw. I don't fully know when is which turn considered -15:52 proofs the explanation I made above, the Fluff fell in first so it was already gone and the Piggy Bank was counted as a solo item. If the Fluff piece would have been still in the claw/dropping as the Piggy Bank went into the chute, then I would have only gotten 1 Piggy Bank instead of 2
@@DexTag Yeah you didnt get Magic Mirror until 24:10 , but even with the mirror, theres still the chance of only getting a X2 instead of X3. -I think I made an error with the OG comment, I did say both, but meant to say "one of the claws, not both" , and that would be a misunderstanding on my part. -2 and 3 feels to have a bit of speculation. Honestly I feel like it still has some bugs since it feels that it works both ways when it should work one OR another way, either any fluff (or coins) at all counts as additional items or it does not at all -I mean, it proves both of us? theres an item and fluff securely in the claw, and neither fell before the claw was opening. In the drop chute, order shouldnt matter for counting 1 or more items for picky, it should only matter for magic mirror; but that goes back to all/none fluff counting as an item
@@legionofanon there's not really speculation. You can apply what I said to every scenario and will see it explains what happens, mostly relevant for gold/fluff. The "dropping out" happens so rarely it doesn't really matter, but picking up Fluff/Gold alongside with an item is quite common
