killer work guys! big fans of all ya'll are doing. the Trick with the pencil tool was clutch! love it! Have you guys ever just used SPOT COLORs and printed out operations host-based? It will keep you from having to do the extra steps of making each layer black before your print it, and you can just hit print 1 time and it will print each layer on its own. Setting the REG marks to REG color will mean they print on each layer too. Keep killing it and doing what you do! Happy Printing!

Great tips. Have you ever used Photoshop to create your seps? It could save time if you're in a rush to print. I ended up creating an action in photoshop that basically does the same thing ultraseps does and it speeds up the process a bit

I try to avoid modifying the customer's provided artwork unless *absolutely* necessary or I get approval. As a designer, I've had too many projects unexpectedly come back for proofing with drastic changes made (logos made different sizes, arranged differently than the client requested, etc.). I don't trust the print shop with adjusting my design. If you need changes, just reach out to me and let me correct my files to your needed specs.

For a white underbase do you choke the the white or expand the the color? Or does it matter?
Also, if you are just using a stroke in PS what do you typically set that at? 1pt? 2pt?

Like you are printing your films on black paper? If so this process wont work. These are supposed to be printed on clear film transparencies or a thinner paper. Light needs to easily pass through to expose the screen

appreciate u so much! one question tho. Before all this, is there any way ur supposed to set up ur design? Like my design isn't as clear as yours and has a bunch of pixels. • @GoldenPressStudio

There's a bit of green added to the layers though (from offsetting the path) so it' not so much editing the design as it is making it a little more like the original (before adding that green/bleed/whatever-you-want-to-call-it to the layers)

Any viewers out there reading this.
    1) learn to get your rego on point.
    2) bump up (expand) the black by a hairline, NOT modify other colours.
    3) don't waste time like this separating an easy vector file.
    4) don't piss around with clients artwork.
