You could use a plastic dollar tree bowl for the mold and after it dries gorilla glue the bowl to the inside of the paper mache and can use as a planter
I really love how you keep your "fails" in the videos. I know I wouldn't have thought about the cup sticking to the concrete, and it's honestly so nice that you keep those clips in to help other people!!
I'm always impressed at how Tina can take anything from Dollar Tree items to trash and turn it into something incredibly gorgeous and chic! I've learned so much about creating DIYs from her videos this past year, and her channel has quickly become one of my favorites! Love you, Tina!
What a great idea! Thank you so much Tina. I admired the way you worked with a medium that somewhat intimidated you. That is where I am. I get so intimidated, I freeze sometimes. I did do a fabric art with glue, which turned out well. I tried a string art project which bombed completely. Keep teaching! I am learning so much.
Hey Tina! Loved all your projects. Paper mache is so much fun. Love that paper egg cartons, fast food drink holders and cereal boxes in addition to TTR can be used. Never thought to mix in spackle that's a great idea. When you need a huge plant pot for outdoor use try papercrete or hypertufa. Please always wear a dust mask when using cement. The dust is dangerous if inhaled. Jo
I made bowls a while back out of shredded paper from my office. I let it soak in water for about 3 days then blended it with hand blender. I then added glue and powdered wall filler. It took about 1 week to fully dry. I really enjoyed the process and they turned out great. My daughter even made Christmas ornaments with the mixture.
Learned sooo much from this video! From clay to concrete, even toilet paper rolls thrown in! All kinds of mediums to work with! You go, girl! Take care & TFS, my friend!🐰
Wowza! Tina I absolutely love your projects and amazed (as always) by how gorgeous they turned out! Funny thing is that I have really wanted to attempt both of these mediums, did a lot of research, but never felt confident enough to actually try either myself. I’ve actually felt this way about attempting different DIYs & projects. Tina you are my saving grace! You post the best, most informative tutorials about the techniques I’m interested in. You explain and show every step, including “mistakes” and how to avoid them or in hindsight what you would do differently which I wholeheartedly appreciate! I also love your eye for detail and need for perfection as that’s extremely important to me as well. Now that Tina has officially posted this video, I’ve watched and learned, I now feel confident and ready to create them myself. I sincerely appreciate all you do and thank you Tina! ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦 PS seeing the bottle of Canada Dry Gingerale in this video sure made this Canadian girl feel proud!😉
This is so sweet and the reason why I make these videos! I am so glad my videos can help empower you to try new things and I’m wishing you the best of luck on your project 🥰 Also, I LOVE Canada Dry and ginger ale 🙈💛💛
Love the cement pots and bowl. There ate soooooo many fun things to do with concrete. Papermache is one of my favorite mediums. There is a you tube channel called Ultimate Papermache. You won't believe the incredible animal masks and papermache projects this woman creates. You can even buy her patterns to download. Have a safe week Tina 🤗🤗🤗
Omg love how much reusing you did in these!! This has to be one of my favs 😍 The marbling trick is so so cool, and I'm definitely convinced to save toilet paper rolls now 😂
BOTH of these were soooooo good girl! I've never done anything with concrete but it looks so fun and intriguing (especially with all the shapes and sizes you can get from experimenting with different containers)!
You really are, hands down, my favourite youtuber creating diy content; I love how both of your DIYs turned out so much! That toilet paper papier mache trick is how we made "rocks" for theatre sets (though we'd use cardboard, and mix it up in a kiddie pool!) -- I'm going to have to give it a try to make a bowl!
Woowowow! This is such a kind comment. Thank you so much for your love and support on my channel, it’s the reason I keep going 🥰💖 And that is so awesome, I’m sure you had to get really creative doing that, I would’ve loved to make theater sets 😍
My favorite was the cement (also it looks way quicker and easier) but I think the paper mache has a lot of potential too. For a smoother, leather-like texture on the paper bowl, you can layer some small pieces of tissue paper with glue or mod podge on the surface. The thin tissue paper conforms to the shape but smooths out the jaggedness. Like to smooth out that top edge.
Thank you so much Tina, I really really enjoyed watching you create those two different types of pots and bowls. I came from another channel and I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too.
I legit have two papier-mâché bowls drying in front of my fan right now! Mine don’t have a base, though. Papier-mâche is one of my favorite things to work with. Yours looks great!
Everything came out awesome. I was told to put some salt when you make paper malche to preserve it beside adds some additional texture too. Thank you again for sharing your creativity. 🙂
Great job. During our lockdown especially the first lockdown, I experimented with concrete. I made a side table with wooden legs and one with metal pin legs from Amazon, I am so pleased with them. Will defo do this again.
Hi, have started the cement craft and so excited you did too, can't wait to see what you going to make, have lots of toilet roll holders that was waiting for a project!thanks for awesome ideas.
Omg wow your concrete stuff looks AWESOME 😍🤩👏🏻 Never thought you could just mix some paint in the concrete to make it look marbled like that 😍 And the bowl looks so beautiful, can’t believe it’s been made of trash essentially 🤯😍
The heat thing as the cement cures came as a surprise to me too. I had 5 balloons coated with cement on the inside, left my craft space for a minute and as I left heard five loud splotty explosions one after the other! It literally took me weeks to clean everywhere 😂
Wow you both are so talented!! My fave was the cement one too! The water bottle and the soda bottle looked so good!! Def gotta make time to try it out. 😍😍
Me after watching this: "Where to find concrete..." Also me: "Guess the mountain of toilet rolls just chilling is going to finally be put to good use." One of my fave videos of yours hands down 👏🏽
WHOO! I love the toilet paper roll mache bowl! I instinctively always try to save toilet paper rolls just to find that my partner has binned them without me knowing \0.0/ - now I can tell him exactly what I'm going to make with them!
The bowl is cute! My son and I are planning to use the same technique (sans the extra ingredients) to make biodegradable seedling pots. I’m curious why you sprayed the bowl before putting on the plastic? Wouldn’t the plastic alone help the pot release from the mold?
ALL HAIL THE DIY QUEEN TINA! 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️ I can't wait to DIY with concrete now!
YASSSS! You killed it with your DIYs 💖 You’ve inspired me to get my Cricut out again!! 🥰
@@tinalemac do we need to put a drainage hole at the bottom? thks

Yesss! I had a mask on when working with the cement. Safety first 💖
@@tinalemac I learned the hard way!!!❤

Who new toilet paper rolls could be so beautiful 😳❤️❤️❤️
My toilet paper rolls get recycled in my garden. They make amazing seed starters and also they go into my compost to make soil💕🌱💕
O my Hanna I am over the moon obsessed definitely trying them very soon!!!! New here from Texas Toodles ♥️
