I think the season over all would been good without the deb being in love with dexter stuff and the reveal that Gellar was a figment of Travis imagination was so stupid. Like it is just so dumb, the whole ghost dad things was a bit dumb to begin with but at least before this you could kinda account it as dexter bringing up harry as a sort of internal dialogue foundation of the code, it was silly when it became too on the nose and especially when it full on became dexter literally seeing the ghost of harry like for real. That wasn't even a thing when we started out. I personally feel they jumped the shark after season 4, season 4 they should have started prepping for the ending and have it be more high stakes, max 3 seasons maybe actually ovelap 2 seasons Dexter shouldn't have recovered from Rita's death it should have haunted him until the end or the series or he come to terms with everything he are or something towards the ending. Like do we really need to wait 4 seasons more for him to have deb die too so he learns the same conclution that he's cursed or whatever. Also how the heck does there get to be no consequences of trinity literally walking into the building full of cops where all these cops would have seen him, come in and talk to dexter there should have been follow up that 1 of these cops were not an absolute dumb ass and actually half decent at the their job remembering the face of this tall as fuck serial killer they're all searching for having waltzed in there especially after the guy he spoke to wife was murdered. What was the conversation, what was said. Like no bells at all, even if they were all that unbelievably incompetent how can dexter himself assume no one saw anything, there should have been him trying to make a story. Maybe there was and i've forgotten eitherway dexter sucked after season 4 some redeeming qualities yes but over all missed opportunity.

But it's not at all like maybe 1 or 2 swear words and the word virgin but that's it. And it's a really good show. And btw season 6 is actually really good. It is my favorite season of Dexter. It had the most murders and action for both Dexter and Deb.

Entirely pointless, what does this trailer show us? that Dexter is back for another season...and that's it. And that really was the result of the season, compared to season 7's trailer which showed Deb finding out about Dexter being a serial killer struggling with the whole situation, it actually showed us where the story was going there. I believe season 8's trailer deserved a better season, it promised us an epic final season and it was bullshit.
No, definitely, not. The ''main theme'' stood out too prominently for my taste, but the writers still had the balls and were creative. '' Imago '' was a little bit overused, but there were great visuals. To me the downfall of the show had begun mid-season 7.

On the one hand, this season had a really cool murderer. On the other, it focused WAY too much on Dexter struggling with his own moral compass
