I feel as this is how the last episode should of ended. Dexter looking at all the people who impacted his life.
That's actually how the original writer of the show Clyde Phillips wanted it to end . with Dexter on death row seeing all his victims before being executed.

Buy the soundtrack. I haven't regretted it, so many good tracks. It also makes me experience some deep nostalgia from when the series used to be good.
I enjoyed this season, the psychochologist character added something extra to the show.
What a missleading trailer, made me belive the whole The Bay Harbour Butcher case would re-open again and Dexter getting caught - Really though something like Dexter would show the world his work and how he took down some of the biggest killers in the US but nope... I'm going to keep to my own imaginable ending for Dexter mixed with the video "Dexter season 8 re-write" ...
Fucking A! , what a Waste of Source Material ! Dexter could fuck Up and Now the FBI reopened the Investigation ( Tension) , they Found Out ( Unforgettable Moment about the reaction of everyone around Dexter ) , they Star a Nacional Man-Hunter ( Epic!) ,
he kills himself, or he get caught and probably scape, or Just never get caught you name it.... but No ! ! ! that would be to cool for the Writers , go fuck them selves for ruining a potential majestic season finale.

Dexter on his own table. About to be killed by Harrison envisions all his "greatest" kills. I'd love to see brief cameos of all the season villains torture Dexter much like Deb is now.
I'm going to miss that creepy music.

It should have ended with Deb shooting Hannah, and Dexter and Harrison fleeing to Argentina after dispatching Saxon. Afterwards, Dexter discovers that Harrison killed the neighbor's cat with a knife after it killed his pet bird. Cue creepy music as Dexter looks at the dead cat. Slowly fade to black. Showtime then creates a spin-off series called "Miami Metro" with Debra as the main character. It's basically "Dexter" without Dexter.
This is really good. I never had a problem with season 8 for the most part, except for his girl friend Hannah( i liked Lumen better, oh well)but I didn't like how they added at the end bit with Dexter in a lumber yard. It took away from his final good bye to his sister Deb. I think the show should have ended with the slice of life wreckage wash up on the shore to show that Dexter commited suicide and Quinn upon realizing that Deb and Dex have gone missing searches for them only to find the "slice of life" part of the boat washes upon shore.

Ehh I always think people were a little too hard on the final seasons of Dexter. I didn't hate them, just didn't love them. People always complain that he became a lumberjack (lol it is kinda funny) but honestly, I looked at it as his punishment. He was forced to live a mundane boring life with no access to the information he once had. Yet he survived, living in his own personal hell. Kinda fitting but kinda lame as well.
To me very underrated season and misunderstood finale ! Oliver Saxon was an amazing villain but just appeared a little……
Here after I heard the series would be revived for a 2021 release!

He is not proud of killing his victims. And I personally think the show will end with Dexter realising that all his victims where innocent and it was all in his head. Just like Travis Marshall.

I was hoping Rita would be in the middle one. She was pretty much forgotten after series 5. The writing in series 8 sucked, she should have come back somehow, just for a cameo, I mean he see's his Dad and saw Rudy in series 6, he can't see the mother of his child in his final series
Was the season as good as 1 or 4? No. But it wasn't as awful as everyone says. The plot didn't turn out the way they wanted it to, and therefore the entire piece must be "bad." The acting was still excellent, the Vogels were fascinating characters. The cinematography was still excellent, the costume design, the things that make a movie/show great we're still great. Plot should be secondary.

You know, when you assist-kill someone in an ego-shooter game it counts aswell, maybe not as a kill but it can be seen and it's listed. That's the same thing with doakes and Laguerta ;)

Season 8 wasn't that bad, it's just many people doesn't get that all serial killers or bad people doesn't get to have happy ending, would you prefer if Dexter died in the series?

Honestly If Dexter Actually Did Die Instead of living as a Lumberjack that Would've been Better to end his Story. At least Dexter Knew that His Actions Have Consequences. Plus Dexter Should've killed Hannah and Took Harrison to Cody and Astor. (I Hate Hannah McKay)

I don't understand what was so bad about season 8????
It did not feel like an ending season. It felt like just another season. It received a lot of hate because compared to Breaking Bad which ended the same year as this. Breaking Bad's final season had everything come to a close perfectly. It left no plot holes or annoyances, and it ended in a way that most would enjoy. Dexter season 8 felt rushed. I liked the first half but the second half fell apart. The final episode felt rushed. Though Dexter pulling the plug on Deb was sad, that was it. The final 2 minutes ruined it for a lot of people. They should have left it with Dexter's boat found but no body leaving us to decide how it ended. They should have had Dexter's murders discovered and had him on the run. Something other than him ending as a lumberjack and leaving his son with a serial killer. What happened in season 4 when he said he wanted to see Harrison grow up? I think the series was great but the ending was botched.
is just the no use of Good source material...even with the non existent of Breaking Bad I would totally criticize the for the hole lame development.

Season 6 was definitely not better than 7. Nost people say 6 was one of the worst seasons (I think that as well) and season 7 is considered one of the best. I think the best seasons are: 1,7,4, and my personal favorite 2. The worst seasons are: 5 (which isn't that bad if u ask me), 6, 8, and the worst I think is 3. But overall this show is amazing.
That's your opinion, but I'm sure season 7 was much more popular than season 6.
