      thank you! I just used wall power for this, but you could probably get away with 18650s batteries in series. i would imagine a game play time of about an hour.

    You can undo the case security screws by burning the end of a bic biro quickly and then holding it onto the screws until it cools

    Hey! So I bought the audio amp and same potentiometers and audio Jack you have. I also want to use these 8ohm 1 watt speakers. How would I wire those in correspondence with your wiring schematic?

    Can you do more tutorial on the power. I just don't understand. Does it take 3.3volts to power the system? Or do I also need 7.5 volts. I'm running tests and turn on the n64 at 3.3volts but don't have video.

    • @Xiuvxfnm

      I'm 2 years late but you will have to connect 7.4v negative and positive to the motherboard and 1 3.3volts to the motherboard

      Quality tips are important. I've used some cheap ones from Amazon that kept oxidizing and solder wouldn't stick well.
      You should keep your tip tinned with solder while in use, and clean it with a metal sponge, or a wet sponge if it's really on there.

    Thank you for the video! I am trying to relocate the cartridge slot. I soldered the wires to where it usually goes and it’s not working. My solders are clean and near perfect, and i’m using about 4 inches of 24 gauge wire. Could I connect with you via email to send you pics and invite your instruction?

    • @noycebru
      @noycebru  3 года назад +2

      Best way is discord. 24 guage wire is too thick, I would do 28 or higher

    • @redthreads
      @redthreads 3 года назад +1

      @@noycebru you said we could use the controller wire to do this?

    • @redthreads
      @redthreads 3 года назад

      I’d love to show you a picture of what I have so far. What is discord, and can you shoot me a link of a better way to connect with you? I feel like I’m so close!

    • @noycebru
      @noycebru  3 года назад

      Yea that should work. What happens with the higher guage wire is that it requires more heat to solder. Using more heat and too thick of wire can lift pads and probably won't solder well.
      Be sure to use flux too

    • @redthreads
      @redthreads 3 года назад

      @@noycebru but I already lifted the cartridge receiver - no solder required. Then I tried soldering 24ga wire to the holes where the pins normally went into. I successfully soldered the wires to the holes, then to the pins. Is my wire too think? What’s your discord?

      It's pretty easy to print another shell to make it look better. On the other hand, it's harder to not be such an asshole to others.

      @@user-yk1cw8im4h Fyi it's called being supportive. Fakeness would be saying that it looks awesome. What I said is that it's easy to print another shell to make it look better.
      I implicitly said it doesn't look good, and has big potential to look great.

      @@user-yk1cw8im4h Stop trying your best to miss understand what I wrote.
      You know very well that it wasn't the part I said was supportive. Your arguments are flawed and you proved it very well. But I will still explain it to you, because you seems to enjoy lying about my own words.
      "just need to print another shell to make it better" is supportive and not a part of the 'fake culture' you seems to love bashing me about.
      "it's easier to print another shell than stop being an asshole" is just the truth. His comment isn't a constructive criticism, it's just purely cruel.
      If you still get behind the original poster and his shitty comment, it's not my problem.
      On the other hand, I'm trying to make the world a tiny bit less of a shitty place. Yes I'm a nobody, and the consequences of my acts as so small that it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. But if everyone wasn't a total POS, and tried to be nice, the world could only gain from it.
      Now just keep in mind that I said exactly what OP said, but in a nicer way. Both of our comments mean that the build looks bad. One just say it, and the other one gives a way to improve.
      If you can't understand this, sorry but your experience in this world will most likely be pretty bad.
