Small correction, you just have to nuke the region anywhere for the boss event to spawn. Coming from the lead designer himself, the nuke sort of "mutates the storm" to put it in rough wording. Which means no nuke zone radius, and no radiation. This causes a region-wide intensified storm for a couple of minutes as well as the boss spawning
i'm glad they're focusing on making boss arenas rad free so that everyone can participate and not have to worry about having a rad suit on al the time

@@badwithsalt that's what I mean, there's no point in making new high end armours and giving non power armour players new content if they can't use it. They've just finally caught onto it
I'm from Virginia. I can't understand why Bethesda chose to ignore the most famous cave system in the area, the tourist trap, the Luray Caverns. If you go to the park then you go to the Luray caverns. You don't go almost an hour away to the natural bridge. That's like setting a Fallout in Paris and not including the Eiffel Tower.
Or setting it in Paris and not including the crypts beneath the city.
The caverns are incredibly beautiful and cool as well. Haven't been there in almost 16 years though...
They might bring it out in a dlc eventually surly they won’t ignore something like that forever
It's coming in time....haven't you seen the massive empty left side of the map so we have more updates to come.
I'm from Front Royal, 20 minutes from the caverns, neither Front Royal or Luray Va are in the game, I believe the game cuts off at the Shenandoah River right outside of Front Royal Va. I could be wrong but I remember looking into this before they added NPCs to the game.
As someone from the Valley I’m so glad Shenandoah was finally able to get some love from the Fallout universe. Although I highly doubt it, I’d love to see them expand into some of the small cities in the area as they contain notable universities and beautiful landmarks.
The “valley” extends all the way south through Tennessee to the gap at Chikamauga, Ga. At one point, it was the bread basket of the entire country, being the primary source of wheat and flower. There are towns in the valley that changed hands once or twice a month during the American civil war. You will not find a more wide spread blood soaked stretch of earth anywhere in the country.

Yeah. With JMU making the headlines for their basketball and football teams, it would be cool if the campus was added to the game map. It's right in between the Shenadoah national park and were the game's map currently ends. So it would be a fun Easter egg for anyone who went to school their or lives in the area.

There's a secret Bunker below Rapidan Camp that is an Enclave Base, seems abandoned but Idk maybe they use it for future enclave content.
Also, in that bunker there are 3 signs 2 of them say "Raven Rock" and "Poseidon Oil Rig" respectively but the third one says "Norfolk Naval Base" so basically they confirmed there's another Enclave Base in Norfolk

I think there was a quest in fallout 4's dlc nuka world that involved a ghoul trying to find a way to deal with ghouls going feral but she failed

Man I might commit to this game now, looks very good and lore rich.
I got it last year. All the updates have made it a essentiallly complete game. The auestline is pretty long and you’ll easily be 50 plus after finishing the campaign and some side quests, ignoring all the online stuff.
I started playing a few weeks ago and its so good ! Its like fallout but online ! , tiny bit grind but its okay
When you start a new game it actually feels like a fallout. It’s no Fallout 3 or New Vegas but it’s worth playing with some decent story lines and fun gameplay
Fallout 76 is actually pretty fun in 2024.

Not really grindy IMO. There are some tanky creatures but they are for public events with other players.
Havent played 76 since last year,but have started playing again to grind a bit more before the new update launches. Cant wait to finally explore a new map😭🙏,hope it wont be the only one the game ever gets...
I doubt it. The game has the highest player count since it released, highest ever actually. I’m guessing this is going to be the start of something

In one of the unaccessible rooms for this DLC there is a mention of Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia. Who knows, it might be related to future content

@@dtbradly No. This is old concept, from the time of release. Devs propably already moved away from doing it a long time ago.
On release I played with my co worker and we had some fun banter, but the overall product was lacking heavily. I stopped playing and came back these last 2 weeks. I’m now having a blast. Starting fresh and exploring, doing side quests finding power armors randomly, making my camp and killing scary effed up monsters is fun. Also finding a random player in the wild and emoting to say hi is a small cute function that can lead to a big journey across the waste. If Bethesda keeps up the good work this game can be known for its comeback rather it’s unbaked launch.
76 and 4 getting Enclave love is awesome
A map expansion. That's crazy. All they need now is to next gen people hanging on this game but they be adding so much to it. Like imagine they add they go back to Fallout 3 or something or new York
That would be an expedition, and we keep telling them we hate expeditions. If it’s not a new map we can camp or explore freely, we are not interested.
if an expedition took us back to the Capital Wasteland it would only make people want a proper Fallout 3 remake/bug fix, which I hope Bethesda is still doing even after it got leaked in the court documents

@@Kellett781 You are not interested. I certainly am. Especially with how they did the Atlantic City ones, giving them proper quests as well. Hopefully The Pitt gets that added at some point, too.
About Enclave, that bunker have room where on wall it says what time is on Raven rock base, Poseidon oil rig, and unknown naval base at Norfolk I assume one of next dlc expedition and maybe story quests about enclave will be there.

The whole taking a chemical to avoid going feral doesn't really make sense with the lore or the games. There are definitely plenty of times where a non-feral ghoul has said they don't know why they didn't go feral.
I could see it being a thing where when they start to go feral they can take the meds and it's not widely known except in that area. It'd make the lore line up better.
It's a fine addition. It doesn't negate lore prior. It's something they could add as a gameplay/RPG element in future games. It would be fun to play as ghoul.
I think it's more of like, there's different types of ghouls. Some need meds, some don't. Some show signs of being feral, but aren't quite yet. What doesn't make sense is how would they even know to get chems, where do these chems come from, etc.
At the end of it all, not all people mutate the same way
Ghouls have never been consistent. Even the original creators never had a coherent idea of them.
The mysterious creature might be a Wanamingo from Fallout 2, looks like the Wanamingo Plushie they made recently.

I had to stop playing as I can't store more things and my player is now encumbered permanently by weight.

Use perk cards and/or sell scrap. You don't need more than a few hundred pounds of it total.
Simply put, you got a hoarding issue. What you need to ask yourself: Do you *actually* need everything you got and carry? Because if we are going to be honest, you most likely don't. For Junk, you probably don't need more than 100 to 150 for most items (loose gears,screws and springs probably need more, as does steel and wood), you don't need 40 weapons when you only end up using 3 to 5 regular in the first place, and you don't need to stockpile all those unneeded legendaries for scrip because you'll get enough legendaries that you're end up close to the scrip cap every day anyways.
Stimpaks or other chems? You also don't need that many of most of them.
Food and water? Unless you prefer to keep the buffs you get from being hydrated and fed, you can fully ignore that. And if you don't, 10 to 20 bottles of pure water and a few pieces of food are plenty, especially if you produce more in your camp.
And of course things you carry on your person can be made lighter with the right perks, and mods increase capacity.
It's a management aspect, simple as that.
Personally, I lug around most of my ammo and weapons on my person, and carry about 180 to 200 pounds for actually used gear - with a capacity of 500.

I started playing this game a little while ago with my wife and the co op implementation in this game needs a rework. Quests need to be shareable and able to be completed simultaneously.

So I'm super excited to tlfor this update, but as someone you started on ps4 and switch to pc a few years back it sucks there no cross progression. Note: I probably spent about 200$ on atomic shop at the time when game first came out so I don't want to lose all of that
Yes, no cross-progression is the thing that's kept me from trying to Fallout 76.
Phil Spencer, who plays Fallout 76, recently mentioned the lack of cross-progression as an annoyance, so I'm hopeful they'll eventually give us cross-progression.

I am really hoping for the ability to join the cultists in old crimora mine. If that was an option in the questline, I would 100% choose the "evil" option if it meant joining the cultists.
The Cavern is likely either Luray Cavern (so we might see some of Luray) or Skyline Cavern in Front Royal.

Can camps be placed in the new area of the map?
The reason I ask is because anyone with the weather control camp items can make it clear, rainy, ect.
So if camps can be placed then with enough players using weather control items in theory could cancel out the new weather effects of that area of the map

Ghoul feralization is not newly introduced by the amazon series. It’s at least in FO4 (read the terminals for how and why) and is demonstrated in game as some ghouls are feral and some not.
On PC is there a way to disable the X axis sensitivity decrease while sprinting?
No as that's how it's meant to work but you can make it more sensitive while not sprinting to reduce the amount it slows you down when you are.

The new animations on the Storm Goliaths are particularly nice, especially when 76 usually just reuses skeletons and animations from other creatures for new bosses.

I only started following Fallout 76 recently, but there's this issue I'm having, and I wanted to know if it was just me, or Bethesda is just too lazy to fix it, but whenever I get into / get out of Power armor, my camera loves to freak out and my character clips through it as well. Is this just normal?
Yeah it has to do with the whole online thing it's been like that since the beginning I think

I mean everyone’s gonna have a different answer for you. But I’ll be straight up and say I think you should start with fallout 4, with it being the most streamlined and modern it won’t be a hassle to enjoy it. Even though tbh I’m not a big fan of the game overall and see new Vegas as the best the series has to offer. Just my two cents.

Start with fallout 4. Imo, it's the best in the series, and it's also the easiest to mod and least likely to crash.

Reminder this game has been out for almost 6 years and it's had 3 sizeable content updates (and they were either spaced out by months or removed entirely) and yet I'm still waiting for that 4v4 PvP mode they teased in one of the early Inside the Vault posts from 2018
And they had cut a lot of weapons as well with not bringing back some weapons they had in Fallout 3.

Starfield needs space zombies/ or necromorph type enemies so bad. I want more variety than just pirates,mercenaries,robots and the copy paste slightly altered alien fauna.

I been trying to play the game especially since since I just upgraded to a 7800 XT, but the game performance is unbearable even on at 7800 XT and I don’t know why if anybody has any tips. Please let me know.

My only question is, as someone who stopped playing when they nerfed all of the weapons a few years back, and briefly looked again when the Brother-of-mo-fos showed up and there was no way I could see to do anything but side with them, I have ancient weak stuff that those level 99 bloat flies just laugh off. Is this even playable for someone who is a bog-standard relic of the past? I didn't even look at going to the Pit etc because of it. Feel like I am left behind and why bother.

I’m only 13 hours in 76 on console, and I still haven’t left the vault 76 vicinity, mainly where all the trees are. I got up to level 10 and I still have my 10 mm pistol and a small pump action shotgun. Leveling up is so tedious and it’s hard to find good loot.
Loot is better if you venture outside the starting area. There are ways to level up fast like the perk card that gives you more XP when joining a team for example
I'ma be honest, before I learned anything about the expansion I thought this was a seirre madre expansion.
It looks so similar.
Is it already updated with this yet?
I feel like we need a next gen update too.
