This quote is very significant - Osho was obsessed with death since childhood due to personal losses (death of his grandfather and early death of his childhood girlfriend). It is likely that this reflects the lessons from the same.

You know I agree with everything he says but this time I feel what he's saying is either incomplete, or just plain wrong.
In an earlier talk, he describes Heaven as not something that exists apart from you, but surrounds you. This is life... It is not at risk, and you cannot "lose" your life.
As Eckhart Tolle aptly put it, "You are not separate from the whole. You are one with the sun, the Earth, the air. You don't _have_ a life, you *ARE* life. So how can you lose something that you ARE? It is impossible..." This is also conveyed in the bible, "Whoever believeth in him [Jesus, his teachings], shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Death is only the death of the ego and identity, which don't really exist.
We are the infinite potential of love and joy. This is readily seen in children, and how they view life not as scarcity, but as abundance.
Death can strike at any moment, but this is equivalent to tripping and falling on the ground. It's not the end of the journey, instead you simply stand back up, brush yourself off, and continue on the journey...
As Maximums once said in the movie the Gladiator, "Death smiles at us all; all a man can do is smile back."
*To be aware that every moment is precious, is not to appreciate THE PRESENT MOMENT itself-but to become aware of PRESENCE.* That's what defines the _present_ moment, it is presence. And this is not "your" presence, but the presence of oneness, of "God," of "Source," to which we all belong to.
Life is essentially playful... There is no urgency to act, to live, from fear or scarcity. Only the passion to do what you ARE, which is the infinite potential of love and joy. Sometimes that's expressed in small ways, and sometimes it's expressed in great ways. But we always seeks some form to express and share love and joy, for that IS the meaning of life.

And what if you are passionate about MMA, boxing, too much risk, can die in the ring or get Parkinson's like Ali?
I know a lot of people who didn't drink, smoke their whole life, didn't risk anything, yet suddenly died at the age of 30.
Maybe grief killed them. They maybe wanted to risk a little , to go all the way at least one time, but that voice no in their head was stronger.
If you have a dream to do smth passionate that is risky but won't do it grief will slowly kill you , that's my opinion.
