Very true! But his earlier preachings, discussions (maybe 15-20 years back from this interview) were far more reasonable, interesting, understandable & knowledgeable. The time he was in India, before moving to America!

People get married and have children just to follow the flock, from unconciousness: school, university, job, marriage, kids, retirement, death. It gives a pseudosecurity to do what everybody does but eventually you feel utterly trapped. Love to Osho for his light!
100%. They all buy this 'happily ever after' package and then complain about it none stop. People want kids because THEY want a baby, they don't think 'does the baby want to come here', then they claim to love children when all they really want is a baby so they can be like everyone else.

Freedom is a natural environment of everybody as a soul. If freedom is not the ultimate...why not every husband or wife follows their dead spouse to the grave? Freedom can exist in physical world but not good for the world economy, politicals, religious bodies ...every manmade things.

Having started reading one of his books and watched a couple of his videos, I can now see the reason for the huge controversy around this man. His words are pure dynamite. There's not an ounce of conformism or self-censorship in the way the communicates. But the core message is the same as the one that's been repeated by countless spiritual masters throughout the ages. Anybody with a bit of awareness can see that. It seems to me this man's teachings can only free people and guide them to enlightenment, but I can definitely see why so many in society saw him as dangerous; he was not afraid to expose the hypocrisy of every dogma that our society founds itself upon.
couldn’t have said it better myself. I always said that the extent to how dangerous you consider a mans teaching is the extent to how deeply attached you are to your own dogma.
Everyone has marked their territory and started living like a frog in the well. Frog lives in its own universe even though it lived in the well whole life. Once a new frog fell inside the well. As the conversation went on new Frog said the earth and sky is so big you cannot imagine. But the Frog from the well hopped from one end to other end and said is this earth this big. Frog from well got threatened from New Frog started arguing. New frog was not able to convince him. But after few day there was a heavy rainfall and well water came up. 2 Frog came out. Frog from the well was shocked to see the new world and was hard to digest the truth but finally accepted the truth.

I cut out the words and just listen to the silences stuck together on a loop all day, it´s great. It has become the background track to my entire life.
I'm so fortunate to have spent three months at The Ranch when I was 16. And to live in a home that was a meditation center, where my parents hosted therapy groups. My parent's allowed me to be a unique individual because of Osho. My experience in those times has helped me tremendously ever since.

I've only just started listening to OSHO. I think he's right generally about marriage. I'm married with a 6 year old son. I totally understand the loss of freedom but also my marriage and being a parent brings me a lot of joy too. It's not the most conventional of relationship and we try not to get stuck in negative gender roles.

@@tubefile100 its because we keep so much expectations from the other person. We are not emotionally independent. Religions would never allow a human to be completely free. Financially, emotionally, physically etc. Thats the reason these primitive religions created societies in such a way that a person is always dependent on somebody else for their happiness, for their relaxation. We ourselves as an individual must find the solution to this problem.
It is amazing to hear him even when you don't absolutely agree with him, because it can be challenging to your own belief, but that disagreement doesn't enrage you or anything. What's more, you want to hear him more. I absolutely adore this man.
People are doing it : having free and casual sex,making children out of wedlock.It seems like a novelty at the time he said it but today we can see the outcomes and they're not as beautiful as he suggested.

As a child and as an adult I have experienced exactly the feelings Osho has expressed for a family. I have listened and learned from many teachers but this has so rarely happened that someone is talking so deeply about my personal life without knowing me!
Faithfully unmarried with the same man for 16 years. Of my own individual choice I only lay with this one man and share my life with him, not because I'm obligated to, but because I naturally want to be with him. Marriage is a joke, its beneath freewill. If you choose marriage, choose wisely.
what marriage is saying is that i dont trust you so i must tie you into a contract of ownership that forces you to be with the person forever and if you break that contract you will pay the penalty
If you don't want it, don't do it. Furthermore, how is it ownership if it is mutual? If it is not, then simply divorce or try and power through. Communes are no solution or garden of Eden, they're just an escape from the current problem that sullied marriage in the first place (a culture of lust and ego).

Kids get abused and bullied in schools and day-cares, which is the community raising them. If we got rid of the family, their abuses and their hostile environments would just be transferred to the community. There is no difference. Osho acts like every pair of parents is abusive and evil, but this is not true. This is one of the areas that I disagree with him. There is a natural human desire to hold onto your child, because your child is you. If you love them, you won't be stupid and abuse them; it's as simple as that. Love fixes the family problems, not an absence of family. Children naturally want to be with their parents and are naturally drawn to their mother's and father's voices. Please reconsider your outlook.
Though, I don't fully agree with his theory but for me it's sad that I may be out of 24 years of my marriage & 10 years of courtship, almost 34 years of being together! It's tough to accept, but life is beyond.... One must move forward...
OSHO Himself hasn't understood what marriage is ! Knowing or following his perception about life leads to either the extinction of human race or a free sex society . Since it is well known to each of us that there is a principle in quantum mechanics that everybody sees a different world. So each of the observer is different . In OSHO point of view I believe that a free sex society will cause more chances of rape as a man / woman may get attention of his / her desire at any point of life/ time ,but may be the opponent isn't ready . Today I sent this video to my family whatsapp group because they were constantly asking me to get married and I'm just 22. My family is lashing out to me. They strictly said "Don't follow him. He is the worst. Many people have destroyed their life by listening to him." Literally I'm shattered. People just don't understand him.
True, a lot of people are brainwashed from this artificial Matrix that exist for many 100 years, it's difficult to break this up, it needs time. Osho was a lot ahead for his time in the 70's 80's, even today, his knowledge and wisdom is unreached. I hope society will change and become more free and open for love.
Im 49, never got married and never had kids and both of my.parents passed away. I answer to no one, I come and go when I please, when Im home no one is making noise and so forth. I walk around naked in my room, i cook for myself, I dont clean my apartment as i couldnt be bothered, i just wash my dishes. But i do work out and eat healthy and so forth. Society is bondage and as such limits my freedoms but still, all of my married friends envy me and tell me I should remain single.
Perhaps Osho is projecting here. The world doesn’t necessarily need less marriage and children within a family dynamic - the world needs more conscious awareness amongst any lifestyle one chooses. Any way can work and thrive if humanity is totally conscious 🤍🙏🏻 as long as we work together, for one another, society works well. 🌎❤️

Yeh very true. On the other hand, its very strange that people feel the need to be legally obligated to one another, especially since that legal obligation can be broken fairly easily. I think in the ideal situation, two people would stay together, not because they are 'married' but because they would rather be together than not- and/or because they feel a responsibility towards their children (if they have children). Tbh it seems like a lot of people get married just because they think that's what they are supposed to do, and just because the woman needs to have her 'special day' to feed her ego, impress her friends, and not feel like a failure lol.
What Osho means by our children being taken care of by the commune is having our children experience as much human contact as possible in order for them to become a well rounded individual. The commune are aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, sports, camps and extra curricular activities.
Commitment and marriage, 2 different things. I'm married but I'm also committed to my wife, to love to hold and protect. Till death. That's my personal commitment to my wife and children

Depression, anxiety and many psychological diseases are now very prominent. One can be richer by connections but, intimacy leaves memory for the body to remember as sadhguru has said.

He clearly says that life should be rich with experience and there shouldn't be any boundaries. If you are not happy with the person you are allowed to leave. You don't stay just because you signed some papers.
A piece of advice - it's good to listen to osho, sadhguru, jk, jp or any other person, it's good to read gita, bible, quran or any other book..but it's wise to use your own critical thinking instead of believing whatever you hear or read.
Just after 3 months of marriage I got to know the reality of marriage ....marriage is very hard for a women so much sacrifices and expectations everyone expecting from women and doing nothing for her so I decided to be separate It's hard for me to leaving my husband but he is the only one who is putting pressure on me to be more and more responsible or do everything for his family without expecting any thing from them or him

Marriages can be difficult for men too. It's not only the women who are suffering. In a way, Osho is correct. In exchange of sex, marriage forces you to give up freedom from doing many things that you would do if you stay unmarried. Marriage forces you to think only about the partner and no one else. The society in order to prioritize marriage has devalued every other relationships.
I like how his statements are all strong but open. He’s firm in the points he hold to be true, yet his proposals of the ideal are quite malleable. There’s no one way to go with the “commune parenting”, and he did not fully detail how it should be done. Knowing that the problem is deep and nuanced, he is using the interviews to convey the most critical arguments across - to rattle the heads of the most people possible. Hey, and he’s humorous.
Going through a separation, 15 years, now in my 40's with a very young child. But his words and his heart on the matter when the people where laughing Osho was crying! Struck me so deep.

Please do realize, he is talking about a society living together full of love, openness and understanding. With a community that takes care of itself. If you believe that you can just leave your wife and do this on your own, you might be mistaken. Not to discourage anyone, but to point out that there is more to what he said here than "leave your wife." He is talking about a whole structural, societal change.
Don't forget about the kids and the sickness they learn from community while the parents try to protect them in today's society. The world that Osho is talking about might have actually existed thousands of years ago and once evil penetrated the society, they was not other option but to create marriage. Evil has no limits. You create a perfect world and evil smiles while rubbing it's hands. Show me a perfect world and I will show you the weak link from where evil will penetrate and make it ugly. Osho describes what should be done to get rids of evil but discounts the power of evil. The same thing goes for good. Good finds a way in the world that evil creates. Its a cycle. Its the nature of this universe.
@@thelibrarian9421 I would not even say that it is necessarily the nature. Yes ying and yang and the cycles do exist, but they do not have to mean always evil and good. In an enlightened society, evil has no place to get hold of. Sure there might be some evil, there is always this choice... but in an enlightened society it will be such a small part, that it will have no effect on anything around it. The nature of the Universe is good, else it wouldn't be able to exist and to reach such levels. Everything is God, and Oneness is good to itself.
Oh my God... It is really scary how much I relate and agree to this. I hate my parents for having a toxic and dysfunctional relationship but still going on with each other.. As they say for their children's sake! And I too had a toxic relationship with my husband unknowingly repeating the same mistakes that my mother made!! Incredible! This touched my soul, resonated so much. Wife nags husband, husband beats wife - that's what happened between my parents. And I did always feel so isolated. Maybe our lives would be different if our society did what this man spoke of. The idea of a commune taking care of children is wonderful.
Never thought I would be married, now with 2 boys and a cool wife. Of course we have friction here and there,but I have that with every thing in existence. I do share the concern for the kids only having the parents for most of their lives.

Kids get abused and bullied in schools and day-cares, which is the community raising them. If we got rid of the family, their abuses and their hostile environments would just be transferred to the community. There is no difference. Osho acts like every pair of parents is abusive and evil, but this is not true. This is one of the areas that I disagree with him. There is a natural human desire to hold onto your child, because your child is you. If you love them, you won't be stupid and abuse them; it's as simple as that. Love fixes the family problems, not an absence of family. Children naturally want to be with their parents and are naturally drawn to their mother's and father's voices. Im 49, never got married and never had kids and both of my.parents passed away. I answer to no one, I come and go when I please, when Im home no one is making noise and so forth. I walk around naked in my room, i cook for myself, I dont clean my apartment as i couldnt be bothered, i just wash my dishes. But i do work out and eat healthy and so forth. Society is bondage and as such limits my freedoms but still, all of my married friends envy me and tell me I should remain single.

Sure there might be some evil, there is always this choice... but in an enlightened society it will be such a small part, that it will have no effect on anything around it. The nature of the Universe is good, else it wouldn't be able to exist and to reach such levels. Everything is God, and Oneness is good to itself.
Oh my God... It is really scary how much I relate and agree to this. I hate my parents for having a toxic and dysfunctional relationship but still going on with each other.. As they say for their children's sake! And I too had a toxic relationship with my husband unknowingly repeating the same mistakes that my mother made!!
I truly can never forgive my parents for the tremendous psychological damage they've done to me!

Incredible! This touched my soul, resonated so much. Wife nags husband, husband beats wife - that's what happened between my parents. And I did always feel so isolated. Maybe our lives would be different if our society did what this man spoke of. The idea of a commune taking care of children is wonderful.
A marriage can be happy, if they give freedom to each other and accomplish personal freedom from all desires as well.

Never thought I would be married, now with 2 boys and a cool wife. Of course we have friction here and there,but I have that with every thing in existence. I do share the concern for the kids only having the parents for most of their lives.
