Many thanks for this video!! You did a fascinating research, it feels very nice to realize that someone cares enough about us to do so. Good luck on your future videos!
Lots of thanks to you my friend. Great job! By this work you demonstrated an approach towards scientific research which deserves much appreciation. That kind of scrupulous collecting of many historical facts is really impressive (some of them even unknown to other locals of Caucasian region not saying about the rest of Russian Federation and other parts of the World). Subscribed and spread the word.

It caught me out of the blue in the dead of night this upload of the nation that does not comprise that of Shota Rustavelli Dmitry Gulia and Kosta Khetagurov encouraged me to watch it from start to finish!
Case you are looking up to the replies Andrew Two great ideas for future videos would be the Kaliningrad oblast and the Komi Republic I picked the former considering the recent controversy on behalf of the Russian government of the recent transit ban imposed by Lithuania !
With Ingushetia just declaring it's independence from the russian federation, I think the chechnyan tik-tok "soldiers" will soon be committing crimes against humanity there.
I don't believe Ingushetia has declared any independence at all. Might you be thinking of the Idel-Ural batallion who pledged to liberate their homeland or the Chechen soldiers fighting under the banner of Ichkeria (which I think Ukraine has recognised)?
I live in Ingushetia in the Caucasus. How can a small nation with a population of 500,000 people and the smallest territory of 3,100 km2 separate from the vast Russia with a population of 146 million people? It's just nonsense.
of course some serious research needs to be done, Alania is the unified word for the people living in the Caucasus. Right now for example Russia calls all peoples in the Caucasus: Caucasians. Same way Greeks and Romans called them Alans-Al(b)ans, Scythians etc. RUclips: ruclips.net/video/ZNc54RT3YEY/видео.html
@AllAboutRussia Just like the word Caucasians nowadays includes many nations in the Caucasus (maybe even in the USA 🙂), Alania is the unified name for peoples living in the area. Besides Alans there were Regal Alans. Ingushetia (Gelia) itself was governed by direct military democracy, there was no hierarchy. John Lecarre wrote about it in his book "Our Game": "It happens to be the Ingush because I love their love of freedom, because they never had a feudal system or an aristocracy, no serfs, no slaves, no social superiors or inferiors." This is a very important point too and different from Chechnya where they had the power vertical (similar to Russia) like Mansur, Imam Shamil, Dudayev, Kadyrov. Besides the fact that Chechens didn't want underdeveloped Ingushetia [*] by the way one of the reasons the Ingush didn't join Chechnya in 1991 was this difference in governing power vertical vs. power horizontal. Even now we have people's parliament with elderly representatives. Chechens try to copy but they didn't succeeded. Mr.Putin was forced to change 4 "presidents" in Ingushetia: Aushev, Zyazikov, Evkurov, and now Kalimatov. Two of them Zyazikov and Evkurov very very unpopular and were removed due to high degree of war which Russia doesn't want for a known reason. [*] The USSR just like Russian Empire intentionally didn't develop Ingushetia and kept it under economic sanctions there were no factories, airfields, universities, TB hospital or a TB sanatorium, national schools, educated people etc. the moneys from the central government settled mainly in Chechen part of ChIASSR, land disputes with ossetia (ossi) (Chechens were not stupid they knew if Ingush stay with Chechnya Russians could use provocations to attack the future Chechen-Ingush republic, so they got rid of the Ingush. On top of that Chechnya gained Naurski, Schelkovski, Kargalinski districts from the Soviet government as "compensation" for Ingush territories in Prigorodny district. So the Chechens were on top: developed country with functioning economy and additional 30% of the land. They didn't want Ingushetia. Ingushetia was left alone and of course it couldn't form an independent state even if they wanted to (as you mentioned no power plants, developed infrasturcutre etc).

As always your work is PRICELESS... i may be late for this one but keep it up! (I never though Ingushetia would be so interesting seriously)
Ingushetia is very much an enigma wrapped in a puzzle put in a box (where the key was lost!).
