My mother used to work at Remmington as a bullet tapper. She would tap on bullets to make sure they passed inspection. Many lost their hands and were severely injured if not killed when a tapped bullet exploded.
My father worked at Bridgeport Brass for 25 years.
I was hoping you would have included the Norwich State Hospital. That should’ve been #1!
Definitely!
Although a good amount were demolished over the last few years, there is still a lot left on all thier properties.
The majority of buildings remaining are all gutted, but they're still cool, and the administration building is still intact, inside and out..
So I've heard 😉
I lived in taftville(part of norwich) and ive only gone once with my dad and we were just parked out front, I swear i felt things touching be
The way he pronounced, Cheshire, Wallingford, and Southington. Bro. All 3… fantastic.
Exactly
For real. Where is this dude from?
😂
@@iDGF999 I’m from CT and I still don’t know every town. But I know he said Cheshire wrong cause I’ve been corrected on that one lol.
So many video creators do not bother to learn how to pronounce names correctly. 😩
Omg you missed SO many good places in CT. I would totally redo this. I mean you didn’t even mention Dudleytown or Fairfield Hills..
Those are literally the first two that I think of. Unreal that he didn't include them.
Especially Dudley
Great Video ! I’ve been to 8 of these places , all super dope . I actually just found Elmcrest a few days ago and was going soon. Castle Craig is 10 mins from my house , it’s the easiest to access by far .
my mom and grandma used to work at elmcrest ❤️ theyre doing construction arent they? i got caught by the cops last time i went a couple years ago
@@AutumnYoungblood yes sadly they are 😞 I tried going a second time to take videos and they had construction fences everywhere
I'm from Meriden, CT and castle Craig is not abandoned. I hike up with others when it's open to the public. I think Meriden needs a do over.
But is it used as a castle tho lol, it’s just site seeing like anything else that’s abandoned
@@Theecstaticyogi my point is that it's never abandoned.
Half of the North needs a do over !
I see the castle every day from my apartment in Hanover Tower
Meriden was in much worse shape back through the 60s and 70s. It has improved quite a bit since.
Newington has an old overgrown mental hospital on the Wethersfield town line.
I love Holy Land USA in Waterbury. Not quite abandoned as it is partially restored, but still neat indeed.
It’s not abandoned, they are restoring it and their are church services held on Sundays, at one time it was an “amusement park” it’s obviously never gonna be that again but it is open to the public !! Great place to hike! The caves are creepy AF!!
I want to say that Holy Land is open to the public again, but I'm not 100% sure. Although if it is or it isn't, it still holds its abandoned charm
Castle Craig is not abandoned. It’s in a park that people visit every day.
Very informative.. Maybe do a video on haunted places in CT
ive been to the remmington factory but me and my friends werent able to get into the tower because they bordead up all the windows with thick wood, and the few doors to get into the base of the tower were padlocked shut, and couldnt be broken down because of the heavy duty doors. you also should have mentioned the airport near short beach, that was an amazing place to explore.
that airport is abandoned?
I plow that area in Mansfield, let me tell you, you’ll see some weird things out there late night
Remington arms factory was definitely interesting to visit
Mansfield training hospital was also a level 2 prison closed about 2007
hey man! great video! keep it coming.. better then my videos!
Another place that is really cool is the Ansonia Copper and Brass factory in Ansonia, Ct. It's a ton of giant warehouses that are filled with old machinery and book, it is one of the coolest places i've ever been.
It's filled with crackheads now, last time we went I did not feel safe, I agree cool place though
i’m a 5 minute walk from castle craig and have seen it many times
Do abandoned buildings in bpt ct
What about Fairfield hills hospital in Newtown?
Goodness
Holyland is not abandoned local church groups are working to fix it up
Bridgeport Brass and Remington Arms are gone now.. been demoed
you should do abandon places in Maine if you can do one on connecticut
What about that abandoned power plant in New haven
NO FREAKING WAY
Will say the Mansfield training school is not abandoned I believe UConn uses it still
Surprised the whole state isn't number one on the list.
Bums alley
You mispronounced Cheshire and Wallingford. It's "CHESH-er" and "WAHL-ling-ferd".
#6 is totally fucked now used to live right across from it
anything to even see now? worth the trip?
@@kaylataglieri4791 honestly not really it’s completely run down now you used to be able to get inside and go almost all the way to the top but time and weather has not been good to it at all
I live down the street from Aerosol Techniques.
Who is whispering during 2 or 3 of the places you show? Rather freaky.
I was hoping you would include the abandoned Hamden Middle School. I’ve seen videos and it looks bad.
You talk way too fast. slow down it’s hard to grasp what’s going on before you move onto the next thing.
I agree, great content but I had to replay several times to catch what your saying.
great video. the narrator is obviously from ct because he barely pronounces his words and talks too fast blending his words into a crappy sounding mish mash of pseudo english. this video suuuux
Slow down please, maybe do less in each video so you can slow down. So many other places in CT, could easily do a 2nd and 3rd video instead of cramming so much content and info into one.
