I have an adopted son and did 5 rounds of IUI (only one of those rounds was with donor). If you do ever end up deciding to adopt please, please go with an adoption attorney do not go with an adoption agency they’re WAY more expensive. You can actually tell your adoption attorney so much that you can afford for adoption as every single state is different on cost

@@MindyMinx On ADOPTION: I work at an adoption Law Firm in California. Adoption CAN be very expensive but it is not ALWAYS expensive. If you ever do consider adopting do not go through a facilitator (they are sketchy and always charge super high prices and they are illegal in some states). Get a full service home study done through an agency that does full service homestudies just in case you end up doing an interstate adoption etc. Try to self match by telling your community and social media that you are adopting. We see many families match through a friend of a friend of a friend who's daughter or cousin is pregnant and wants to place baby for adoption. Also organic matches like this usually happen faster and birth mom rarely goes back on her word when choosing a personal connection. You could also sign up with adoption consultants to help you get matched. Believe it or not, you do not need to go through an adoption agency to adopt. You just need a lawyer and to get matched some how. ( the attorney will vet the birth mother to make sure she is legit and not trying to scam you!) What makes adoption expensive is agency fees (bleh) , or when the birth father will not give up his rights (legal fees, however a lot of birth fathers do give up their rights without a fight), and when the birth mother needs her expenses paid for during pregnancy (birth mom fees, which sometimes birth moms do not need any financial help). Also there is something called an adoption tax credit/ return and it's $14,000 so make sure you claim that adoption on your taxes! Best wishes on your journey to having a baby whether that be through your own body or through another mother's body! If you ever decide to find an adoption attorney look at ACAL.org for adoption attorneys in your state or any state. Sadly as both my daughter and step-daughter found out, there are age limits for the fathers in a lot of states. Not for the mothers, though. Go figure. A 55 yr. old single woman can adopt. A 45 year old man and his 37 yr old wife can not adopt ~ 45 was the age limit for fathers in the 3 states my daughter and her husband tried to adopt in.
My friend went through multiple IVFs absolutely very expensive but so worth it! She has 2 beautiful children ... and God blessed them afterwards financially to cover the cost! It is expensive but it all works out in the end 💞
This journey requires ALOT of patience. Even after getting pregnant, it's not a sure thing. You have to leave it up to God and realize that it's not something that can be controlled. Do everything within your own means and then ride the wave. It's very hard but will best thing you've ever done.

Hi! I think even if the nurse said that its okay to drink coffee and bike, i read that its not okay to drink coffee and biking will get the ovary in a lower level which will make women difficult to conceive. Sometimes they have it push back up to normal level so that they will get pregnant. My sis in law did that. I think nothing to lose if you avoid that for the meantime, the coffee and biking.

I've been trying for over a year. Remember you are only trying ONCE per cycle. It doesn't mean anything is is wrong with you, but of course the odds will be low. Make sure you read books and trusted websites so you can ask the clinic all the right questions. Use this time to save up money and make sure you are well informed on the best options.

Letrozole is known to be quite successful fertility drugs. Keep in mind that a normal "healthy" couple it takes a full year to conceive. So between the medication you are taking and the IUI procedure, one will be successful. Don't lose hope!

If you adopt through the foster system, it’s financially less than a private adoption agency. 😊 plus there are so many kids/babies/toddlers in the foster system that need loving stable home ❤️
I recently learned too that you can adopt embryos(sometimes for low to no cost!) and only have to do ivf transfer cycle! Way cheaper! Since you're already using donor sperm might be a good next option!

Mindy, I don't know if you already have a therapist, but if not I highly recommend connecting with someone! You have a wonderful support system but it is nice to have a third party to process your thoughts and feelings with. I'm a therapist and love working with women going through their fertility journeys!
My husband and I have been trying naturally for around a year now. Although that's completely different from your journey... I understand how devistating and frustrating it is every month it doesn't work. I've joined some groups on reddit and it's helped a lot to read how other people are going through the exact same emotions!!!

I haven't told anyone in my family that we are doing IVF this year.. I've always imagined that magic moment of announcing pregnancy to my parents, and if I tell them about IVF, the only surprise would be if it didn't work... I don't know if this is the right away to handle it but..
Not to be a downer but, I did 10 IUI's before moving to IVF. At the time, which was roughly 12 years ago, it was 16K. You are on a hard journey. Don't give up!!! You got this!!! BTW, I have 11 yr old girl/boy twins. Baby-vibes to you.

Please don't give up. I agree with some of the comments, maybe look into other clinics? I find it odd with the amount of hoops you have to go through ... that they didn't once tell you the rates of conceiving via IUI. Wishing you the best of luck for the next round!!!
Mindy, don’t loose hope - it took us 12 years and I was much older than you. I endured 4 IUI cycles and on the 3rd round of IVF we conceived our son. It’s so expensive - I feel your pain - I even had my hysterectomy booked if my 3rd IVF had failed I just couldn’t go through anything anymore. I know it will happen for you - it’s just such a hard journey travel. Stay positive and strong and don’t forget to appreciate each other xxx I’m sure your medical team are on it - but the one thing we did differently on the 3rd round was I took a steroids after the insemination - as they felt my body was rejecting the embryo’s - so maybe worth asking that question as the steroid as a drug is very cheap around £30 for a month supply and if I remember correctly I needed it for 3 months then they weaned me off them. You got this hun 👍💪😊🌸

You are not letting anybody down. Meditate, relax. You are just beginning this journey. So take it easy. If at some point you decide to adopt, you can look at foster agencies. They can help you. There are different options. I personally DON’T recommend foster to adopt. I tried it and it didn’t work out because my girls were sent back to mom (yay not yay 😢) . Much love,
If you decide to “foster to adopt” make sure that you get a child whose case is advanced. The agency wasn’t truthful with me and they never told me that my girls’ case was brand new. It definitely helps when you know that the state is ready to take action. Just some food for thought for the far far future. Right now focus on the beginning of this journey. You have a fantastic family and an amazing husband ☺️

I had my daughter after years of never being able getting pregnant and two miscarriages. I have endometriosis and pcos, so the doctors told me I would need fertility treatment. I got pregnant by surprise at 34 with no treatments. I know ivf is a different journey, but It will happen!💖💖💖
Mindy, been there done that! IVF gave me and others success, however, I have a friend who did IVF 2X’s, then attempted a 3rd, couldn’t not enough eggs maturing, so they switched to an IUI and it worked! At 38yo she had twins! Also, have you every considered working a job along side this channel? You are young and have lots of energy. You could have medical bills covered by insurance. I’ve heard Apple Store employee’s have great infertility benefits! Plus you’ll add into Social Security for when you retire someday. Just a thought! 🙏🏼💙👶🏼
Infertility is definitely a rollercoaster ride! An emotional one! It felt like (to me) losing a child every month when it didn't happen that month. It was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It is my understanding that adoption can also be abt. $10,000. I have one friend who couldn't have any if her own. They became foster parents with the option to adopt. They now have 10 children they have adopted and still foster others! They are amazing!
Oh Mindy, I know that IUI number percentage seems very low but any woman trying to have a baby only has a 20 percent chance of a baby every month they try. That's why it can take most couples 6 months to a year to conceive. It took me 6 months WITH TESTING ON OVULATION KIT to get pregnant with number 3 and that's with doing the "do" like 3 times in my ovulation window (I know TMI LOL) try and stay positive I know it's hard. HUGS
I had 3 back to back losses and took me 9 months after that to conceive. I look at my baby and think he was meant to be here, not any other baby but him. The baby that is meant to be here will be here when the time comes! Sending all the baby dust your way!

Not sure if you’ve looked into CNY fertility clinic, but they’re super affordable for ivf. Sending you so much love. I know this baby journey isn’t easy as I’m on it myself.
I planned my 2 children and thru Gods help they were conceived on that night and born 9 months later but were two separate pregnancies, thank God!! I get mushy seeing you go thru this. We are all praying for ya. God will bless ya all in Jesus holy name. Love ya!!

Prices for IUI/IVF vary per clinic. Insurance may or may not cover some items of a IUI procedure. IVF has a lot of pieces and parts and is rarely covered by any insurance. Your clinic should of informed you of the chances before the procedure.

You can do IVF in another country ,it Cheaper than American .For example, IVF in Egypt .it costs from $ 3,450 to $ 6,500 .

If you adopt through the foster system, it’s financially less than a private adoption agency. 😊 plus there are so many kids/babies/toddlers in the foster system that need loving stable home ❤️

I recently learned too that you can adopt embryos(sometimes for low to no cost!) and only have to do ivf transfer cycle! Way cheaper! Since you're already using donor sperm might be a good next option!
I had emailed you thinking you had some IVF I didn’t know you did IUI I know not much about it so I apologize, how awesome for your child to go back and see how much you fought to have them. Always a quote I love “you bring about what you speak about”. Keep telling yourself “ we will have a baby is just a matter of when “ I have faith it will happen God isn’t going to let 2 amazing people not be amazing parents💜
Foster to adopt could be an option to look into. The financial burden is significantly smaller. The state offsets most of the costs.
Mindy, never feel like you're letting people down. You're not doing this for anyone but you and Larry, and you're just being generous enough to share such a private thing with people. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you guys these last 2 times. Your feelings are completely valid and you can feel and grieve however you want or need to. I truly hope it works out for you guys and you get your child. And I know that however that child comes into your lives, it will be loved so much by you and Larry and your families. Mindy, I don't know if you already have a therapist, but if not I highly recommend connecting with someone! You have a wonderful support system but it is nice to have a third party to process your thoughts and feelings with. I'm a therapist and love working with women going through their fertility journeys!
My husband and I have been trying naturally for around a year now. Although that's completely different from your journey... I understand how devistating and frustrating it is every month it doesn't work. I've joined some groups on reddit and it's helped a lot to read how other people are going through the exact same emotions!!!
You are not letting anyone down. Have you looked at the foods that can help you along or alternatively therapy like reflexology. Which helped me through and got rid of health issues xx

I haven't told anyone in my family that we are doing IVF this year.. I've always imagined that magic moment of announcing pregnancy to my parents, and if I tell them about IVF, the only surprise would be if it didn't work... I don't know if this is the right away to handle it but..

Not to be a downer but, I did 10 IUI's before moving to IVF. At the time, which was roughly 12 years ago, it was 16K. You are on a hard journey. Don't give up!!! You got this!!! BTW, I have 11 yr old girl/boy twins. Baby-vibes to you.

Please don't give up. I agree with some of the comments, maybe look into other clinics? I find it odd with the amount of hoops you have to go through ... that they didn't once tell you the rates of conceiving via IUI. Wishing you the best of luck for the next round!!!
Mindy, don’t loose hope - it took us 12 years and I was much older than you. I endured 4 IUI cycles and on the 3rd round of IVF we conceived our son. It’s so expensive - I feel your pain - I even had my hysterectomy booked if my 3rd IVF had failed I just couldn’t go through anything anymore. I know it will happen for you - it’s just such a hard journey travel. Stay positive and strong and don’t forget to appreciate each other xxx I’m sure your medical team are on it - but the one thing we did differently on the 3rd round was I took a steroids after the insemination - as they felt my body was rejecting the embryo’s - so maybe worth asking that question as the steroid as a drug is very cheap around £30 for a month supply and if I remember correctly I needed it for 3 months then they weaned me off them. You got this hun 👍💪😊🌸

If at some point you decide to adopt, you can look at foster agencies. They can help you. There are different options. I personally DON’T recommend foster to adopt. I tried it and it didn’t work out because my girls were sent back to mom (yay not yay 😢) .

If you decide to “foster to adopt” make sure that you get a child whose case is advanced.
The agency wasn’t truthful with me and they never told me that my girls’ case was brand new. It definitely helps when you know that the state is ready to take action. Just some food for thought for the far far future.

I had my daughter after years of never being able getting pregnant and two miscarriages. I have endometriosis and pcos, so the doctors told me I would need fertility treatment. I got pregnant by surprise at 34 with no treatments. I know ivf is a different journey, but It will happen!💖💖💖
Mindy, been there done that! IVF gave me and others success, however, I have a friend who did IVF 2X’s, then attempted a 3rd, couldn’t not enough eggs maturing, so they switched to an IUI and it worked! At 38yo she had twins! Also, have you every considered working a job along side this channel? You are young and have lots of energy. You could have medical bills covered by insurance. I’ve heard Apple Store employee’s have great infertility benefits! Plus you’ll add into Social Security for when you retire someday. Just a thought! 🙏🏼💙👶🏼

Infertility is definitely a rollercoaster ride! An emotional one! It felt like (to me) losing a child every month when it didn't happen that month. It was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It is my understanding that adoption can also be abt. $10,000. I have one friend who couldn't have any if her own. They became foster parents with the option to adopt. They now have 10 children they have adopted and still foster others! They are amazing!

Oh Mindy, I know that IUI number percentage seems very low but any woman trying to have a baby only has a 20 percent chance of a baby every month they try. That's why it can take most couples 6 months to a year to conceive. It took me 6 months WITH TESTING ON OVULATION KIT to get pregnant with number 3 and that's with doing the "do" like 3 times in my ovulation window (I know TMI LOL) try and stay positive I know it's hard. HUGS
I had 3 back to back losses and took me 9 months after that to conceive. I look at my baby and think he was meant to be here, not any other baby but him. The baby that is meant to be here will be here when the time comes! Sending all the baby dust your way!

Check on pricing of adopting and embryo? Probably easier and cheaper than “actual adoption’ plus you get to be pregnant!

Prices for IUI/IVF vary per clinic. Insurance may or may not cover some items of a IUI procedure. IVF has a lot of pieces and parts and is rarely covered by any insurance. Your clinic should of informed you of the chances before the procedure.
