Personally, I like both KDE and Gnome. However, I decided to stick to KDE mainly because of issues. I use a pen display and Gnome doesn’t read some inputs or some buttons are flat out unresponsive. The second is obs with screen recording lagging on said pen display. Anyway, good video and it is true that Desktop Enviorments shouldn’t be rushed out and stability is king.
I think the biggest problem for me is KDE sleep mode. For whatever reason, whenever I put my pc to sleep, there's a change that it will not wake up or respond to my keyboard/mouse. About your video, I wouldn't mind seeing a better UI layout, but I don't think enough people have complained about it (maybe because they're being banned from social media platforms like reddit as you said), but I really like you finding any bugs/exploits that breaks KDE. People may not like it, but you finding bugs/exploits and having them fixed helps someone else who doesn't have a crowd or voice be heard.
I've used gnome for 5 months now, and i've never encountered a single bug, yesterday I've installed kde 6.1.5 on a secondary computer and within 10 minutes I've found the first bug, where the icons on the system tray that I've set to "always show" were just hidden and not showing at all. LOL
as of lately I have a lot of issues with dragging & dropping to and from firefox and other places..its true KDE can be pretty buggy :/ i think they just need to double down on a standard, stable, official KDE distro or something. kde Neon isnt really for daily use, and theres no other "official" distro.
I'm using Cashyos atm with KDE - no major issues so far , popup notifications sometimes doesn't disappear (happens a lot on Nobara too) and recently i got some weird noise in my speaker, even if I'm not playing any music etc - but I also don't tinker with OS, using almost vanilla so maybe that's why I don't experience all these issues you have - KDE still better the gnome in my opinion - I got a feeling that gnome stuck in limbo and amount of effort to customize it sets me away from it - I can see that you doing well in customizing it (gnome) but to me it's just too much
I’ve tried KDE so many times, but I simply never liked it enough to switch from gnome. Yes gnome has its own set of issues, but it always felt more polished than KDE… also the UX issues KDE has are too much of a blocker for me to actually switch.
weird, the notifications arent glitchy for me on latest KDE. Maybe its a bug with how youve moved the notification position to the top right? Stock kde doesnt have glitchy notification popups
Very similar flickering happens when dragging energy consumption window bigger smaller. Also it does not fit important content inside window with global scale 150% on 2560*1600 screen.
Just wondering have you ever done a video about switching from KDE to Gnome without having to nuke and pave. Sorry if that's a noob question was just curious unless it doesn't really need a video.

KDE is ugly, nobody can refute that, you can theme it and make it pretty but once you open the settings app you’re reminded that KDE does both, visual clutter of too much text in too little space AND too much dead space/wrong padding etc at the same time.
the problem is with wayland, KDE on openSUSE TW is pretty solid using X11 and not wayland ...I tired fedora workstation, it was buggy, windows would just disappear, some of the java apps would not run, and on my laptop wifi would stop working

Wild guess that you are using nvidia ? also you customize plasma to the nth degree, try replicating those things without all those customizations. Sadly i prefer KDE bugs than use GNOME xD
We could try reporting bugs to the KDE devs to hopefully speed up the bug fixes

I like it except for the fact that it “forgets” my monitor resolution after every single time I wake it from sleep 😒
Add that to the list of bugs
