I admire your talent. You are proof that floral decorations doesn't have to be expensive. A nice set of flowers and ferns will look beautiful and will last. Plus, you can add and subtract to change the look with the season or mood. Cheers!
Hi Cynthia, I love this type of designing and you are correct, you don't need much to make a statement. In the next of this series, I'll share how quickly the look can be changed up to create a new look. Warm regards Astar
Absolutely beautiful! It did want to nudge the candelabra straight, haha! But I really love what you achieved here! And the candles are a nice, safe distance from the flowers which is so great. I am sure you’ve solved Gloria’s issues with this! How do you not cut yourself on the chicken mesh, though?! That stuff has teeth!
Thank you. I love the idea and reckon it needs to be a floral main-stay. Get the base in, park it up & haul it out, add flowers, turn on the candles & the job is done in a flash. Warm regards Astar
Hi, beautiful arrangements! Thank you for sharing. Where do you find good artificial flowers and greenery that look close to real florals? I see a ton of plastic looking greenery but want something more realistic.
Thank you. Ok, the truth of the matter in regard to finding realistic looking artificial flowers/foliage... for me its a mission and I'm always on the hunt. You could try www.winwardsilk.com or www.prestigebotanicals.com or Michael's or Esty or Amazon. Hope this helps, Astar
Hi Astar; Another inspirational video for us. I can just imagine the setting this will suit. Fresh ivy can be manipulated carefully. Just love the possibilities for this one. Especially being able to use plants in pots. Greetings from the UK x
Hi Lynda, this is the first in the series, and I can't wait to share the next version. It's one of those designs that just keeps visually giving. Warm regards Astar
I still love this style and haven’t been moved by what all the younger people do. Here is Louisiana USA all the weddings look the same! I love your style.
Hi Ellen, I have to agree, but it's trends that come and go that dictates what's in or out. Omgoodness, I still remember the hideous black mondo-grass trend & can only wish all those the very best in trying to extract it from a garden! Warm regards Astar
Thanks for the great idea! So good you used the chicken mesh wire. Those potted plants just sat right into place in the design and the fern spills over so nicely. Beautiful!
Hi Converse, I've just got to say - chicken wire is a blessing. It might be a bit hard on the hands, but once in place, everything is held together nicely. I think that of all the designs shared, the Pod-et-fleur is my favourite. This tutorial is the first in a new series & I can't wait to show the many different looks the design can take on just by adding a bit of this or that to change up the look. Warm regards Astar

Elegant piece Astar. Thank you for the inspiration.
What a genius idea with the candelabra, it would be wonderful for a wedding! Another delightful video! She inspires me to get creative!
