Fun fact, it's actually good to feed chickens eggs. I live on a farm, and I have chickens. Every now and then we feed them eggs and eggshells, it helps their calcium and their future eggs be stronger and larger. And it's not cannibalism if the egg is unfertilized, in fact, most chicken eggs are unfertilized. The more you know!
tasedpants Doesn't that mean that the pet chicken that Timmy had should still be with him and alive and well? The writers really need to do some fucking research or cancel this show.
Chicken Fdisoruhg While it's true that showing Timmy feeding a chicken eggs does not mean he's a bad chicken owner, chickens still need things other than eggs, they need grain and free-ranging lets them get bugs and be healthier. They need more than just eggs, they need a variety of things to eat to be healthy and survive. Though yes, the writers do need to do more research into the topics they write into here, they had a perfect chance to teach children a fun fact about chickens in this episode. And in a few others as well, they got information wrong. Like in Freaks and Greeks, Bacchus is the ROMAN god of parties and wine. DIONYSUS is the Greek counterpart. I hate it when media mistakes them.
+tasedpants Also, chickens can be cannivals if the oportuniti presents, I once saw a cat hunt down a chicken and then a rooster came, scared the cat away and stole it's chicken for himself. Chickens actually eat anything that can fit in their mouths and not get sick from it.
Oh, yes, let's randomly come up with an allergy that is NEVER mentioned be for and NEVER mentioned again just to give these shitty writers and excuse to shoehorn a dog into the story. I'm surprised these writers don't just make up an entire new cast while they're at it.
Yeah they cancelled Danny Phantom in favour for more Fairly OddParents....I think continuing Danny Phantom would have been better. Its like Nickelodeon hates having shows woth action and story in it.....
You know Ed Edd n Eddy was supposed to end with season 4 with all the characters as old people but the network renewed it for popularity, and that show didn't go down hill! Know why, because Cartoon Network let the original creator and staff have full control over the show and it lasted 10 years! granted the last season was only 2 episodes but, that was to put all their attention on the movie so they could properly end the series and it was great! I think it really went out with a bang :)
Buba2426 Wow, there is a "evil" version of the asshole who nearly kill the main character two times in his debut. Is he the leader of the anti-fairies or something?
trevor simmons know what? After watching the preview of the episode where sparky "finds" money, im starting to belive that anti sparky is in fact Jesús .
Wait aren't Timmy's fairies usually disguise themselves as fish? So what is the point Timmy getting a pet? The motivation of the episode makes no sense
You're Reading My Name, Aren't You? - You're underestimating the lack of shits the FOP writing staff gives at this point. They aren't writing anymore, they're laboring. Doing only what the boss wants them to do in order to get their paycheck.
Also fun fact Butch Hartman KNOWS the show is getting worse, it’s in a colab drawfee video So the audience is aware, the creator(s) aware, pretty much everybody but nick is aware
I'm baffled that jimmy neutron only lasted 4 years, while fairly odd parents has been going a decade and a half, they were so similar that I don't see why one lasted so much longer than the other.
Justin Talmadge The third Jimmy Timmy Power Hour was supposed to be the last episode for both series. At first, as a child, I was upset that both of my favorite shows were ending, only to get more upset when The Fairy Odd Parents came back but Jimmy Neutron didn't. Now that I'm older and see how The Fairy Odd Parents took a nose dive in quality after being revived (as well as other long lasting shows like Family Guy and Spongebob), I'm glad Jimmy Neutron didn't have to suffer the same fate they did and ended on a good note.
Butch Hartman: Damn. The show is still going. Let's make a new girl character to be friends with Timmy. AND give her fairies! That will surely end this show. -one season later... Butch: Shit! At this rate, I'll never revive Danny Phantom.
He suddenly wants a pet... yet he's had Cosmo and Wanda for the past 9 seasons... and though they're disguised as PET FISH, HIS PARENTS HAD NO PROBLEM WITH HIM OWNING THEM. Hopefully, I'm not the only one who's noticed this. :|

+Doctor Minjinx Let me guess, intended love triangle, who also has fairies. What about Tooty, Trixie, or that blonde girl with the Helga Tsundere complex. Is this a Love triangle or a f_cking! Love PENTAGON!!! Instant Romantic Plot Tumor... just... *sigh*, I want my sequel to Hey Arnold! called Hey Helga! or something... but Ninja Turtles and Element bending Martial Artist's is all you have... fine... Fine... FINE!!!
Tony Davis Get this, she has to share Cosmo and Wanda with Timmy. I can't wait to see the bullshit way they shoe horn that in. Also a Helga spinoff was planed and pitched to Nick but it was shunned for being "Too dark".
Doctor Minjinx HAH, wow, I have never thought that kind of premise would've shat upon the foundation on a franchise since Highlander The Source. Wouldn't Jorgen Von Strangle take Timmy's fairies for the EXPOSING OF HIS FAIRY GODPARENTS TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE THEM THAT WAS HARD WRITTEN IN THE FAIRY RULEBOOK! But I guess they'll just handwave it while pulling something out of there ass and smearing it on paper to be animated, voiced, and televised to all over the world! And if it's Stephan Hillenburg's doing... no, no... no... NO... Nope... Nada... NOTHING will EVER bring me back upon such a childhood I had with this show.
So not only did they add on a completely useless baby, an annoying talking dog, and a Stewie Griffin wannabe, but now they're adding on a female who's going to hijack the plot. What's the "new character" going to be in the next season, a token Hispanic who has no personality outside of speaking Spanish?
Isabella Cataldo Or probably Dinkleburg's adopted daughter, Mr. Crocker's niece, or someone so out of place that would become the definition not just any "mary sue" but a "black hole sue"! And yes, Black Hole Sue is a trope.
Alright, I can handle Poof, even if the episodes at the time were going down a bit in quality, probably because my little brother was a baby at the time Poof debuted. Sparky on the other hand, I'd go all "Old Yeller" on him the very chance I get. Great review!
Everything wrong with Nick 1.They Never Know when to end a show 2.They keep on getting shows from the internet 3.They don't know when an episode went to far (ex: One Coarse Meal) 4.To much "toilet humor"
2.) Case in point: Fred, Breadwinners, and The Annoying FUCKING Orange. At least Fred and The Annoying Orange was actually popular and there were enough views on their videos. Breadwinners barely have views on theirs. So why would Nick adopt Breadwinners? That show is WORST (that's right) than Uncle Grandpa and UG is horrible.
+paladindragoongirl18 At least there were some "okay" things it aside from the WTFery, but Breadwinners? Breadwinners would've fit in along with the garbage from the 1990's!
Guess what Mr Enter? Nickelodeon just announced FOP is getting a 10th season. AND THEY'RE ADDING ANOTHER NEW CHARACTER! This time it's a new neighbor and apparently Timmy's going to have to SHARE his fairies with her! I...I...I don't even know anymore.
What really gets me about the montage of Timmy being a bad pet owner is that this is only somewhat canon with the series. Yeah, it was implied in a previous episode that Timmy's pets all died, but it was because his dad didn't take care of them while he was off at Summer camp, not because Timmy himself was the problem.
AMAZING NEWS: The FINAL, LAST episode of this horrible abomination, Man's Worst Friend, is airing on Nick this Sunday at 12! The nightmares are finally ending! I don't care what it is about! The final FOP episode! HARTMAN'S FINALLY DOING SOMETHING HE SHOULD HAVE DONE YEARS AGO!!!
O_O *goes away* OH. MY. *BLEEP BLEEBEEP-BLOOPITY BLEEP* I SWEAR I AM GONNA *BLEEPITY BEEP* NICK SO *BEEP* HARD FOR WHAT IT LET ITSELF *BOOP* INTA! THOSE *BLEEEEEP*S FAIL SO *BEEP* MUCH I AM GONNA *BEEP BEEP BEEP* COME OVER THERE AND *BEEPBEEPBEEP* SHOW THEM WHAT THEY DECIDED TO *BLEEP* NEGLECT JUST TO BE *BEEPBOOP* "COOL", OR SOME *BLEEP* IF THAT *BEEP* EXCUSE FOR A *BLEEPITY* COMPANY AIN'T GONNA CLEAN ITS DUMPSTER, I AM GONNA GET MY *BOOPBEEEP* OVER THERE AND *BEEP* DO IT FOR THEM! *comes back* Now that that's put of my system....darn. i really hoped it was gonna end.
This show is dead. Nothing can revive it. At least they would have had an excuse if Butch Hartman wasn't working on it anymore, but that isn't the case. He needs to pull the plug since, let's face it, Nickelodeon sure as hell won't!
The thing is HE TRIED TO! Many, many times! The last episode was supposed to be "Timmy the barbarian" but NO Nickelodeon had him make yet ANOTHER season!!!
+Nessie Rose There is an Anti-Sparky character now, apparently. Just looked it up. Why people continue to watch the show, by proxy giving Nickelodeon financial incentive to keep this garbage airing, I do not know.
Lets be honest. SpongeBob has more dignity than the Fairly Oddparents. But FOP isnt even on life support, IT IS DEAD!!! I just wish they finally ended the show.
Ivan Simpson C'mon Timmy... Ride your super bike.. >:) We're not scraping for ideas we swear it's an innocent plot about Timmy's Dad being insecure about his son not being proud of him It's DEFINITELY not a cliche
I feel so bad for Tara Strong. I watched one of the new Fairly Odd Parents' episodes (its the one where Timmy goes emo to impress some girl thats not Trixie. It was terrible) and Timmy's voice sounded so tired and forced. Tara must be getting sick of playing this character. Apparently My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is not paying her enough. She gotta pay those bills some how. Man, if I was her I would've stopped.
Why does Chloe gets faires when she literallty has everything respect money talent intelegence toys friends she's litterally called in the show the perfect human being and she for some reason gets fairies
+Senketsu “Kamui Senketsu” Flores Supposedly it's because she always messes up every time she tries to do good. I doubt it though. If she really did always mess up, why does everyone still love her?
+Pretend This is a Better Name :3 :3 and also, tootie was stated to be at least twice as miserable as timmy. timmy got fairies because vikki was his baby sitter, vikki is tootie's sister, and she gets diddly squat.
3:33 wait. wait, wait wait wait waitwaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT! Are you serious?! Are they serious?! Timmy is considered responsible enough that he can watch over Poof for a day, but he's NOT responsible enough to have a pet, when a BABY is even more needing of responsibility?! Seeing as i'm watching this episode of AA centered around Fairly Odd Parents after the one where Cloe was shoved into the show, i really shouldn't be surprised by this F@#$ up, but REALLY?!
hannahlicious100 maybe because the turtle produces something that can be used for magic, and would be useful for somebody who used that type of magic often, like a wizard owning a parakeet because parakeet feathers are useful in enchanted capes.
@@jackolantern9034 why would the fecal matter be magic, though? the turtle ISN'T magical at all, so how would it be able to produce something otherworldly, when the creature itself is NOT otherworldly? it's just some random joke that didn't make any sense.
The funny part? That episode was made all because Fox wanted the Simpsons crew to add a new character. It was kind of a "Fine, HERE'S your new character!!"
Roy was litterally just there. Nobody knows who he is, nobody knows where he comes from and he was the most obnoxious type of character that he actually left the same episode he appeared in first.
The episode where that fairy baby was born really marked the end of this series, the official notice that the writers had run out of ideas. And that was back in 2008! They've kept going for 7 more years after this series was milked dry!
Oh yea I forgot to mention. You all remember when Timmy found out that Cosmo and Wanda use to be Crocker's Fairies? Well apparently......wait for it..........Sparky use to be Crocker's dog too!!
Actually chickens naturally eat their own eggs if they are broken. I've seen them attack them like piranhas. That being said I actually made two potbelly pigs cannibals once when drunk. But cannibalism is so common in nature so meh. And at least it was organic pork. :'D
Cannibalism is very different in humans and chickens. For a start, as long as the egg is unfertilized, it's not really cannibalism, an unfertilized egg is biologically chicken period, and you wouldn't call someone a cannibal for eating that, as it's essentially waste products. In humans that would be bloody weird (get it? Bloody? Sorry.) but in egg-laying species an egg is a big investment of proteins and vitamins, so it's best not to let it go to waste. Also, allowing the eggs to rot in the nest would attract predators, parasites and infection, not the best idea to stay healthy and alive. These are the main reasons most reptiles and birds eat their eggs that don't hatch. Secondly, chickens have a different reproductive strategy to humans. Humans generally produce very few offspring, relatively speaking, and most of these offspring are expected to mature and produce offspring of their own. Chickens, on the other hand, produce far more offspring, and most of those are expected to die before reaching reproductive age. Therefore one dead chick matters a lot less to a chicken than a dead baby matters to a human. Hamsters are particularly well known for this, when food is scarce a mother hamster will eat her young with no provocation, as she is more important than any of the individual young. TLDR: chickens =/= humans.
Season 10 Chloe Season 11 Nega-Chloe Season 12 Cletus the Rapping Shark Edit: Thanks for all the likes and the shits & giggles, This was an interesting comment thread and I wish I get to experience something like this again, also sorry for all the tortured souls Edit 2: a 4 year shitpost that will always be one of my favorites. Might archive it sooner or later Edit 3: Archived! Also, now that Fairly Odd Parents is suddenly relevant again, I guess this joke could still go on for another 50 replies? Nah
Season 17: Jorgen and the Tooth Fairy have a Child and Timmy needs to take care of it,because reasons Season 18: Nega-Version of Said Child Season 19: Chloe gets also a Magic Pet, Sparkels the Fairy Cat whose only Character trait is it to be an arrogant smart-ass Season 20: Nega-Sparkels
Fairly Odd Parents has suffered the same fate as Spongebob. If this show had ended when it was still in its prime and Nick had contented themselves with reruns, we would all have fond memories of this as a funny and likeable cartoon. But instead, the Nick execs kept trying to squeeze more and more life out of it, and now Fairly Odd Parents has the same reputation as Spongebob: a bloated monstrosity that will. Not. Fucking. Die.
At least SpongeBob can still make good episodes from time to time. (Plankton's Pet is supposedly a great post-movie episode based on from what I've heard of so far.)
Frankly they should have stopped at the movie about the magic cupcake, it was a good spot to stop. Le'ts just hope mlp doesn't degrade like this, well doughtful it well ever get THIS bad.
zuzoscorner I have a feeling MLP "will" end up being "somewhat" like Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents, IF Hasbro doesn't put it to a halt eventually. There are only so many ideas a single show can take before it starts losing quality, and since MLP is showing no signs of stopping, it will get bad pretty soon.
Actually the chicken bein fed eggs isn't too uncommon. It's something hens usually end up doing on their own to unfertilized eggs, mostly to eat the shells as it gives them calcium and actually makes future egg shells stronger. I haven't actually prepared eggs for my hens like Timmy did here because its one of those "nature freaks me out" moments and if anyone's gonna be eating a delicious plate of fresh scrambled eggs it's gonna be me
chickens eat their own eggs. eggs are not children. they have the POTENTIAL to be children, but unless they are fertilised, they are essentially just 'breast' milk (the yolk) in protective liquid (the whites). Plus chickens will eat dead flock members, as well as eating pretty much any animal they can manage to kill, such as smaller birds, mice and snakes. One of my girls ripped the ear off of a cat that was stalking her and ate it once. It isn't cannibalistic for a chicken to eat its own eggs. its about as weird as eating a placenta and drinking human breast milk. which... is really weird... but not totally immoral to human standards.
I'm done with this show, I started to get tired of it after Poof was born, not because of the character itself, but because of all the stuff that happened within the plots. The show needs to end already, it should have ended along time ago. Now to top this off they add a pointless main character that belittles previous episodes. "That's Life" It establishes Timmy's bad with pets, yet not only contradict that, but to flat out not care or proofread your own script?!!!! Also the whole "We lost our Wands" thing has gotten to be a running thing throughout the series, not only has it gotten to be a predictable plot device, but sometimes their reasons for losing the wands or for their magic not working is just plain stupid. Like they try to stop the episodes plot device, the plot device makes Cosmo, Wanda and Poof useless (mostly Cosmo and Wanda) Notice how most episodes seem to just make them more useless. And the "reasons" for not making their magic work in certain situations are complete asspulls. In earlier episodes it made sense because it was restricted within "Da Rules" itself or some more powerful force blocked it. But in newer ones they make asspulls as to why their Magic doesn't work or have their wands taken away all the time. Don't even get me started on how annoying Cosmo is, I remember Pre-Poof episodes where he was stupid, but he wasn't intolerable. (I don't hate Poof by the way, just the episodes themselves) And in this Season from what I've seen Sparky is suddenly replacing Cosmo, Wanda and Poof. Poof shows up less, Cosmo and Wanda get caught which leaves Sparky to help them. Not only is the "reasons" for making their magic not work stupid plot devices, they do it with characters and just plots in general. Man has this show sucks now!!!!
I totally agree with the asspulls to make Cosmo and Wanda useless. I think somewhere along the line they realized that they shot themselves in the foot with the show's premise seeing as any drama this show can have could literally be wished away. At least early on they found ways around it but the show has ran on for too long and their well has dried up and now their forced to reuse these stagnant old ideas or force new but stupid ones in a vain attempt to preserve any drama in the show. They should've just made this a short lived series and moved on. The show's dead Nick and you're just puppeteering the corpse...
The Fantasy Chronicles Yep you are correct. I mean earlier episodes their magic was limited through the restrictions of "Da Rules" Whatever they stated that implies their magic to not work, and have some Fairy event that requires their Power to be low or their big source of power breaks down, okay understandable there. Sometimes Magical forces blocks their Magic or can't do anything to them.. Or they would have weaknesses such as Butterfly nets and such, makes sense too. They established limitations of Cosmo and Wanda, as well as other fairies. But in newer episodes they asspull excuses to make them seem useless. And right when they try to fix the conflict the plot device takes their wands or captures them. Example one of the episodes Vicky teams up with Foop, he becomes her Scary Godparent, learns Timmy has Fairies they go to Mr. Crocker and what does he give them that the plot comes up with? Rump Roast............. WHAT?! This was a Season 9 episode they pulled out of their ass. I also remember one episode where they needed Mr Crocker their biggest threat and has many of their weaknesses and does research on them on a daily basis to keep knowing their existance because it keeps Fairy World from falling out of balance and get destroyed. AGAIN HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?! Uk So many newer episodes annoy me with this. Don't even get me started on the characters either. >_>
cgaurd52 Sometimes. More in the Squirrely Scouts than outside it. In App Trap AJ was there but not Chester. I blame Cyma for Sparky. Because Wishology was FANTASTIC. Also, Da Rulz don't restrict Cosmo & Wanda anymore. They just lose their wands physically. It's incredibly annoying
So, based on this episode's moral, it's telling me this... If I ever owned a dog and he's destructive, I shouldn't discipline him or tell him what he's doing is wrong. After all, he's just a dog. And I should be accepting of his destructive behavior and I should do nothing about... Great message you're sending the kids there, writers. BTW, anyone remember a show called "Bad Dog"?
I am so sick and tired of the "Idiot Dad" cliche. It's like they're afraid that if they ever introduce a father character who's not abusive, single, or stupid, they'll be accused of being sexist. I'm sorry, but depicting competent male authority figures isn't automatically sexist.
FanOfAnimation Yes, of course it is, but that's not what I mean. Writers seem to be under the impression that good fathers NEED to be single because they're not juxtaposed against the mother. In other words, they're afraid people are going to look at them and say "He's a better parent than his wife... MISOGYNY!!!!!"
Ironically, showing them all to be incompetent dumbasses IS sexism! Apparently, it's a-ok to portray men in such a negative light, but could you just imagine the outrage that would ensue if the women were this dumbed down? Stupid double standards...
Does anyone remember Cosmo's original voice? It was the same actor and the series was still good after the change, but I preferred it when Cosmo sounded more like Timmy's dad. Also off topic fact, Timmy's parents are named Edgar and Clemence.
Several anime suffer from other issues and some are even worse than american cartoons. At the same time, there's lots of american cartoons that imo are much better than many anime. Now I'm not dismissing anime, I'm just saying both types of cartoons have their own strengths.
I have been a very long time fan of Fairly Odd Parents. This episode almost made my cry because of this new character. I know it would ruin this show forever.
Rugrats declined in a similar way. They introduced Dil after their first movie in 1998, and Kimi after Rugrats in Paris in 2000. After both of these movies were made, the show slowly began to die in quality. At least Rugrats knew when they were out of ideas and ended the show. Fairly Odd Parents and SpongeBob are brain dead vegetables on life support
+Unoriginal Username didn't they have a good spin off. They were in middle school and everything was funny. old plot lines were mentioned and even misakes were admitted and fixed, like with the kids fav dino who disappeared They brought it back after finding it in the yard under the ground when they wanted a swimming pool. It was a cute episode.
the people that liked the rugrats movie have huge nostalgia goggles. to me, the movie did not age well at all. sure, it was good and emotional, but it felt like another pilot or an special that featured dil as the main character.
+Unoriginal Username Rugrats' decline was still not as bad as either Spongebob Squarepants or The Fairly Oddparents because it at least KEPT its original crew throughout its entire run. so, I have to give it credit where credit is due and it was pretty cool that it ended after they realized they could not make anymore original ideas. And, All Grown Up was a GREAT continuation. I watched a lot of that and it developed the characters very well. In fact, I thought it was so enjoyable that I wished it ended with them being adults, literally "All Grown Up" by this point, and ended with Tommy having his own baby boy in a distant future where it brings forth a meaningful life message on how Tommy reflects about his past. I mean, given the cartoon had such a huge legacy, it would have been a beautiful ending to the entire franchise; one that nobody would ever forget.
Further proof of Butch Hartman losing his mind, along with any sort of intelligence he used to have. I want to give Tara Strong an apology card for having to stay on this train wreck for so long.
Yes, but MLP is currently under season hiatus; which I hear keeps changing on when it will end. Thus this and Toddler Titans is what she has to go through. Not to mention, all the other voice actors on Toddler Titans having to go through it with her.
If you've seen his third show (T. U. F. F. Puppy) then you know it's because he lost any intelligence that he used to have. Zeus Cervas probably slipped something in Hartman's drink at a party, and it made him turn into a pathetic excuse for a writer/creator.
Although, if he's actually do this to get this particular show canceled finally, then it's proof that Hartman is perfectly sane... But yeah, T.U.F.F. Puppy is pretty lame...
I didn't even know the show was still actively making episodes until a month ago! The money-milking cow is so dry, powder is coming out of those utters!
Wait so chickens practice cannibalism? Is this some kind of...territorial thing? Like a rooster will eat the eggs made with other roosters when he's trying to gain dominance over the chickens and secure his genes? Or do the chickens just eat the eggs they think will spawn useless couch potatoes who never leave the coup and get a job?
Actually I'm pretty sure eating human flesh causes horrible health and mental problems. Like, there's one where if you eat human brains, you contract a disease that eats your brain. Karma, I guess.
Taylor Jeanne I've never heard of any of this before.... I don't really eat too many humans so I wouldn't know first hand, but I know historically a lot of tribes of people in the past have practiced cannibalism of their enemies and their little empires didn't die out because of it. Those people died because eventually they got invaded by others.
Well now ANOTHER FRICKING NEW CHARACTER WAS ADDED. A neighbor, whom Timmy has to SHARE HIS FAIRIES WITH. I've lost all respect for the new fairly odd parents but with Nickelodeon most of all, it was so close to ending, but NOPE. Nick revived it before it can escape. You blow, Nickelodeon.
+Jean-Pierre Moreno "New character: a baby!" "New character: a bad clone of that baby!" "New character: A hyperactive, annoying dog that had 0 hype for!" "Kill us, please..." "New character, the opposite of Timmy/a Mary Sue. We're done for."
They share fairies now? Correct me if I'm wrong since it's been years I've watched the FOP, but I thought Timmys fairies would dissappear if anyone were to find out he had fairies.
To be honest, I liked the idea of Sparky. Even though he can be cringy at times, he can be funny. A magic dog is a creative way to be put in a cartoon or a sitcom. Kind of similar when there was Goddard, a robotic dog from Jimmy Neutron, and there was a ghost dog from Danny Phantom. It was a pretty well job. Even though the episode isn’t the best, it was okay.
10:19 . . . . okay, here's a frequent problem I run into with Mr. Enters reviews. I brought up essentially the same issue on his review of the Spongebob episode where Squidward becomes a baby due to "Head-Boom-Boom-Itis" as the show put it, and for whatever reason I got totally canned for what I still stand by is a completely legitimate critique on Mr. Enters most frequent type of criticism. But right at the moment I labeled up there is where the problem arises again. After flying the plane, Timmy says "It worked! On the downside, I don't know how to fly a plane!" and that causes them to crash. Mr. Enter critiques it by saying it's insulting how they not only explain why a joke doesn't work but how a plotpoint doesn't work. The issue with this critique is, Mr. Enter apparently has no awareness of surreal plot humor; that is, jokes that arise when something illogical happens in the plot, a character acknowledges how things SHOULD be going, and that's when reality comes in hard causing the looney-tunes esque suffering of our characters in an attempt to get a laugh. That's what happened here. This moment isn't supposed to make you think about why this plot doesn't work, because the joke isn't prioritizing logic the whole way through. It's relying on absurdity in the beginning being contrasted by logic in the second half. You are supposed to laugh at how surreal the whole situation is and the joke comes EXACTLY FROM how there's a gap in logic there. But Mr. Enter didn't critique it with this sentiment in mind, instead he just pointed out the illogical nature of the situation and counted it as a point against the episode, as if you were really supposed to take the scenario that seriously. Earlier I brought up the Squidward baby episode of Spongebob because Mr. Enter makes a very similar flaw in his judgement. The Dr. diagnoses Squidward with having "Head-Boom-Boom-Itis" disease and Mr. Enter calls it lazy writing to just shoehorn basic words into a fake disease and have us take it seriously. That was not the intention of the name. The intention was to make us think "Oh, that disease has a stupid name and it's supposed to be funny because no Doctor in real life would actually call a disease that" it wasn't supposed to make you think "Head Boom Boom Itis sounds like it would be super dangerous if it were real! I hope Squidward is okay!" Mr. Enter doesn't know when something is meant to be silly or illogical for the sake of a laugh, and as such he's really in no position to be critiquing them when he doesn't even know their purpose for being there. Now that's said, I'm not saying any of the suggestions I brought up were funny. They were poorly delivered, not well thought out and could have been made to be much funnier. Had Mr. Enter made such critiques I wouldn't have made this comment. But he didn't. Instead he shamed a moment in a television show for not accomplishing something it wasn't trying to accomplish in the first place. Here's a GOOD example of surreal plot humor: the Spongebob episode where he and Patrick run away from Bikini Bottom after thinking they stole a Balloon. They try to warm up around the campfire but then Patrick says "If we're underwater, how can there be a--" and then the fire goes out. This joke works because fire under water is a weird thing that comes up frequently in Spongebob Episodes, a character acknowledges how illogical it is, and then logic kicks in to get a comedic jab against our characters predicament. If Mr. Enter were to judge this moment in the same way he judged the moments I brought up earlier, he would probably say something like "It's super insulting how they just point out the plotholes for us and expect us to accept it". See the problem here? I'm not saying don't critique these bits, I'm saying critique them fairly based on what they try to accomplish.
+Itzumy Lung Watching his videos on a binge and I noticed that a lot of the stuff he says is subjective more then analytical and that he misses a lot of the jokes in an episode and turns around to complain about the jokes that he didn't get. He also assumes everyone watching this show aimed at (four to fifteen usually) year old kids, is actually in their early to mid twenties. This humor is supposed to be funny to children, it doesn't have to be something that will revolutionize storytelling. *insert mr.enter complaining about how shows should strive for more and be creative, even though there are thousands of shows and creativity is almost impossible now*
+Amian Ignatius If what you are referring to when you say "wired differently" is Aspergers Syndrome, because that's what Mr. Enter has, you'll be interested to know that I have it too. I can understand that the condition can make it hard to understand or comprehend things with logic gaps and other oddities that could arguably be placed in the same category like Sarcasm and stuff like that, but it isn't as hard to think of or find funny as you make it out to be. All comedy is based on some form of misery. All jokes are to somebodies expense and the audience is no exception. Jokes like Surreal humor rely on your knowledge of how ridiculous the situation is, and when logic comes in the characters are being punished for the gap in logic that just occurred. Comedy is about giving a knee jerk to the senses in some way shape or form. That's why comedy does everything from shocking you, to confusing you, to annoying you. A laugh is a defense mechanism against such offenses. It's the brains way of saying it's nothing to get worked up about and quickly calms your nerves from the initial shock. Of course, everyone thinks differently and thus perceives threats differently, furthermore they perceive Humor differently. But Humor, in my opinion, is a muscle; one which you can exercise and broaden to be less vulnerable to certain forms of comedy and see the real intent behind them. Now granted, some jokes are done incredibly boringly and lazily, and those are good judgments to hold against the product, but personally I think it's a fault against the critic to say something is unfunny simply because the context doesn't make sense or the shock is just a shock, despite what the intent of the subject was.
@@isaacstevenson2960 Chloe? Dammit, first Miraculous Ladybug and now Fairly Odd Parents?! Any girl with that name is almost automatically guaranteed to be a kiss of death, I swear to god.
6:58 THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely HATE THAT ARCHETYPE!!!! Just once, can't we have a dad in some form of media that's ********* COMPETENT?!?!?!?! Sorry for ranting, but I really do hate that trope, and I thank you for addressing it.
There are a few dads that are: - Apparently Bob from Bob's Burgers is. - The dads from Franklin and Little Bear were good parents. - Babar had children, and he wasn't stupid. - From what I've heard, Splinter from the TMNT is usually a good father figure for the turtles (though he's usually in more of a mentor role). - Arthur's dad was alright. - Batman served as a father figure to the Robins, and, in most versions, Alfred took care of Bruce after the shooting. - Kim and Ron's dads were... relatively competent (maybe not so much Kim's dad), as was Kim's Uncle Slim. - Ariel's dad (from The Little Mermaid) was a number of things, but he isn't usually called stupid. - Mr. Incredible had his faults, but he wasn't stupid, and neither was Marlin (from Finding Nemo). - Rex (from Generator Rex) didn't have parents, but his older partner Six (who was definitely not stupid) was at least trying to keep an eye on him and keep him relatively safe. There are probably others, as this list only partially covers Western animation; I haven't even touched on books, anime/manga, radio dramas (speaking of which, I remember there being quite a few competent fathers in the Adventures in Odyssey radio drama series...), etc.
Meanwhile at Nick Studios Butch Hartman (Fairly Odd Parents creator): Hey Zeus, I need your help. I'm thinking of adding a pet character to Fairly Odd Parents, but I'm low on ideas as to what kind of character I should make him. Zeus Cervas: (thinks for a minute) Well Butch, normal pets are usually made to be comically destructive, but that concept been done multiple times. Why don't you make the pet an animal from Fairy World? Then he'll be more comically destructive thus giving you even more ideas for jokes and episodes. Butch: Make it more destructive to get more ideas? BRILLIANT!!! What else have you got? Zeus: You know that critic on RUclips who keeps criticizing Nick's shows? Butch: Yes, TheMysteriousMrEnter. He reviewed my "It's a Wishful Life" episode. Zeus: Well I think that we should continue making bad shows until he breaks, to make it look like his efforts were a complete waste of time. Butch: Keep making bad shows to make him think his efforts are a waste of time? BRILLIANT!!! I'll go tell the others!!
***** Don't worry. I don't think Hartman is that bad of a writer and unlike Cervas or Purssel, he's not completely turned to the Atrocity side just yet. He may be in a bad spot now, but he has a chance to redeem himself. For his sake, I hope that time is soon.
brassboy212 He doesn't want this show to still air. He's kind of like Hillenburg for SpongeBob-he tried to get it canned after he realized they had sucked all the quality out of it. The only difference being that Butch Hartman decided to stay with the show so he could TRY and do damage control. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Sparky was nick's idea so they could get more viewers in.
Actually I think this is how it went. Butch: Look, were running out of ideas for the fairly odd parents, I was maybe thinking you could probably end the show, like we once had with channel chasers, and so many others. Nick Ex: (Does spit take) ARE YOU MAD? It's our biggest show next to spongebob, why would we cancel it, add something new like a dog! Butch Look even if we add a dog, were just delaying the inevitable. Nick Ex:(Thinks for a moment.) Say how's your family doing Butch. Butch: What? Nick Ex: I asked how your family was, it would be a shame if something was to happen to them (Pulls out a phone and dials hitmen) Butch: We'll add a dog. Nick Ex: That's more like it.
What would be kinda interesting with sparky, he could be revealed to be an actual fairy. He's like the only fairy pet with magic. Him being changed into a dog and forgetting about it would somewhat interesting imo.
You are right about Butch being out of ideas so he keeps introducing new characters to make more new ideas. Cuz I remember Nick wanted to end Danny Phantom and Fairly Odd Parents and Butch was sad ending Danny Phantom cuz he still had more ideas for that show, but he was not upset about ending Fairly Odd Parents if even admitted that he used all his ideas for that show. What is next for FOP Timmy gets a talking horse? I think they may have used that in a episode already, he gets a talking car oh wait they used that for a episode too. This show has been done to death (they even made live action movies about FOP) the only thing they never did was a Fairly Odd Parents and Dany Phantom Crossover special which i honestly would not mind.
+Mistress Meloetta Also, I think Butch Hartman should have quit after the 5th season, then get a new producer for the 6th season and onwards that isn't as incompotent as he is. Kinda like how Paul Tibbitt took over Steven Hillenburg for Spongebob seasons 4 & onwards until Sponge Out of Water. Though, now that I think about it, I actually think that'll make the show even worse.
It's hard to tell if the writers purposely forgot about Timmy's pet hamster in this episode to tell fans of the good old days of the show to stop watching and that it won't get any better, or that they just don't give a $hit anymore and are just randomly throwing out crap like the last few seasons of king of the hill.
season 11: All new! introducing Meowy the cat! season 12: Introducing Please Save Me the bird! season 13: Hey Kids! Introducing Help Us the hamster! season 14: Hey everyone... Now introducing... Kill Myself the lizard.... season 15: *cricket noises* Nick is So Cool the frog.
Seriously! For Spongebob and the Fairly Odd Parents: AFTER SEASON FIVE, YOU CLOSE THE SHOW AND MAKE A SPIN-OFF. At least in my opinion. It's obvious that they want to keep milking the success of these shows, so at least a spin-off is a compromise. Thank you for this review, as always. It was much needed. (And THE PLOT HOLES!!!)
That opening intro song is like a war theme. I can imagine Mr.Enter gearing up for war with a static firing gun to block the bad tv shows on CN and Nick, and a giant remote spear to change the channel to a good tv show. Fuck yeah. You're engaging a war against these horrible episodes. I thank you severly, Mr.Enter. The better the episode, the louder the volume grows.
Not to mention that the movie came out before this episode and Sparky isn't in it. Cosmo even makes a joke about Timmy remembering to feed the dog in which Wanda says Timmy doesn't have one. Sparky would have to have left before then, so how did he?
Josh Nolen Apparently it's being moved to Nicktoons, which is apparently a sign that cancellation is most likely imminent for said show, at least according to what The Roundtable says about the show probably being cancelled.
Man, this episode must have end with Sparky saying "I have to go now. My planet needs me." and then a note saying that Sparky died in the way back to his home planet.
Fairly Odd Parents reminds us all of an invaluable lesson: all good things must come to an end. Otherwise we get Modern Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents... or f**king Xiaolin Chronicles.
11:01-11:21 Sparky feels guilty when he causes his only owner that loved him to die for real. He walks away with guilt and remorse thinking to himself "What have I done"?
The thing I found odd about this episode is how Timmy is apparently the worst pet owner ever and killed all his pets, but, as far as everyone else is concerned, he has 3 pet goldfish.
I actually think that why Fairly OddParents sucks now is that it was cancelled and then revived later. Does that sound familiar ? Yes that's the exact same fuckin' thing that happened to Spongebob!
FOP was never cancelled. Neither was Spongebob. That being said, both of the shows were supposed to end on a strong note but because money, Nickelodeon continued them. (FOP was supposed to end alongside Jimmy Neutron in the final Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour, and Spongebob with the first movie.)

At the risk of getting slammed for saying it, I think I'm one of the few people who actually didn't mind Scrappy-Doo. I can't really explain why, though. I guess his character never bugged me in the slightest as a kid. Hell, when I saw clips from Scooby-Doo recently that featured Scrappy, he still didn't bug me. I guess I'm more tolerant of some characters that others find utterly annoying and useless. It doesn't really excuse it per say, but in some cases, I guess I can just roll with it.
I don't see why people hate Scrappy Doo so much. At least he tried to fight the "monsters" the gang faced, unlike the rest of the gang, who would just run from them before coming up with a plan, which was especially stupid, since the "monsters" were never really monsters at all (speaking of which, people say Scrappy ruined Scooby-Doo, which...confuses me. How much was there of a show to ruin? It was the same formula every time!).
People who kept thinking that continued to forget the very fact that had Scrappy not been created, the whole of Mystery Inc. crew would've faded away alongside Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, and the rest post 1978. Having Scrappy was part of why Scooby Doo managed to roll on through the 80s and early 90s before James Gunn decided to turn his 2002 film into a Anti-Scrappy propaganda tool and the WB kept it going with the recent Mystery Incorporated series wi th a scene taking the piss out of both Scrappy and Flim-Flam because it's hip and fashionable to rip on the little things that contributed to the character's place in pop culture and its longevity.
2:30 Animal Fact: Chicken actually ARE CANNIBALS. Most domestic poultry is. When one chicken starts bleeding, other chicken can start pecking at the wound and eat the pieces of flesh. This is because most domestic poultry are omnivores and instinctively would eat anything it dug out of the ground, like a bleeding mouse. In fact there is even a special type of "glasses" you place on chicken beak that filter out the color red for that very reason. Still I agree that at this point FOP were just stretching and Spary was annoying.
To be fair most people probably wouldn't care about the fact. Take the writers, they tried using that scene to show why Timmy is a bad pet owner and yet chickens eating chickens is natural. Oops!
KidSnivy69 I know. I fully agree that FOP is one of those shows that overstayed its welcome with barely any good new episodes (fortunately I mostly only get reruns). However on a less related note, I see the "Feeding chicken chicken/eggs" joke more often that I'd expect and knowing that chicken can be cannibals just makes it even more stupid. It's like "Slowpoke" meme.
I saw Sparky's original concept art. One was a triangular shaped furball with a star tail, no legs and just a face on the fur with black ears. Even better, it didn't look like it could talk. If they'd stuck with that one, this concept might have been tolerable and even cute.
"Timmy's a Bad Pet owner because he fed his Chicken scrambled eggs!" So what? Chickens will eat literally anything as long as it's edible. They will even eat their own kind or even their own cracked eggs. I would know because I've raised chickens with my grandmother for about six years. Also, don't let anyone tell you they can't fly. Yea, they can't reach the sky, but they'll cover some serious air if they're motivated.
I remember many years back I went to the Philadelphia Zoo for a school field trip and we had lunch at some tables where there were chickens and peacocks roaming around. One of the people at my table fed a chicken a piece of their chicken and it actually ate it.
upon rewatching this i thought of a possible darker turn on sparky's character that i know isn't real but i will pretend it is. all of sparky's previous owners were kids when they got him and as each one grew up they found him either obnoxious or he was just taken away and he is in a spirally cycle of denial
This episode, just this episode, is one of the biggest reasons why i am more thrilled for this show to end rather than Spongebob, because as much as I want Spongebob to end, I'd rather have that continue over FoP, especially since Spongebob has shown some improvement. Sparky is one of the worst characters I have ever seen in fiction, like the unholy spawn of Scrappy Doo and Jar Jar Binks. Why would Timmy even keep this... THING at all, I think it's because they're out of ideas, especially since this show barely resembles the show it used to be, and I don't even consider the later seasons to be the same show. That's right, I don't think this show is the same one we saw in the early 2000's. One trait of this show anymore is that Timmy seems to have been turned from being a normal kid unintentionally neglected by his peers into essentially the entire world's punching bag and only exists so the world can beat on him senselessly, the biggest example being "It's a Wishful Life" in which the more you watch it, the more it just makes you mad. Even without Sparky, this episode just continues to have shades of "It's a Wishful Life" by having Timmy be banned from every pet store on earth just because the universe is required to hate him like it did in that episode, and that moment right there immediately made me hate this episode because it was just thrown in there for plot convenience, along with Sparky's previous owners being normal human adults (it would at least make sense with Mr. Crocker since he's been to Fairy World in previous episodes), and this carelessness for continuity just tells me they don't care. In fact, both those facts tell me that the writers just didn't know what to do and just pulled things out of their ass just to move the plot. This is a clear indication that they are desperate and have no idea what to do now. This show... it's dead to me, it was dead even before Sparky was introduced, and to think I was heavily inspired by Butch Hartman's works before this point...
After this season, Sparky was never heard from again and was removed from the universe... Probably because timmy and his godparents got sick of him and returned him to the pet store like all his other owners
they aired this episode the same week my dog sparkie died and it felt like the universe was just fucking with me
I'm sorry
+sparkie1j I'm sorry for your lost.
You Are Not Alone
+Emperor Palpitoad I would assume not, since he didn't use the word
Yeah, but I don't have time for a rebuttal
I hate it when media mistakes them.
tasedpants I know I hate when people completely mess up Greek mythology especially since I'm a percy jackson fan.
Chicken Fdisoruhg Agreed. I turn into a ball of rage when they get it wrong.
+tasedpants Also, chickens can be cannivals if the oportuniti presents, I once saw a cat hunt down a chicken and then a rooster came, scared the cat away and stole it's chicken for himself. Chickens actually eat anything that can fit in their mouths and not get sick from it.
Timmy's mom is allergic to cats... the same thing that lured her onto a spaceship because she loved them so much.
Fairly Oddparents loves plot holes.
Are you really surprised the writers don't give a shit about continuity anymore?
Oh, yes, let's randomly come up with an allergy that is NEVER mentioned be for and NEVER mentioned again just to give these shitty writers and excuse to shoehorn a dog into the story. I'm surprised these writers don't just make up an entire new cast while they're at it.
youre right ... i really didnt notice like the writers dont even give a shit
Consistency? What's that?
"Why can't I have a pet?". You already have three fish. Granted, fish aren't that amazing, but he still has them.
You DID have pets, they just died while you were at summer camp.
+TwilyChan couldn't he wish for a dog? derp.
+mariic2 ....camp.....cam....camp...camp....
+mariic2 camp....camp....camp
+mariic2 *ran away
This makes me glad that Jimmy Neutron ended with dignity, same goes for futurama.
James Porter
Honestly, I didn't really enjoy the last couple seasons, I didn't like that the majority of the seasons were set in their school..
+kylephantom4 Did you like the movie?
James Porter
never saw that movie yet
Remember when Fairly Odd Parents was hand-drawn? And good? And watchable?
CarozQH
It agree except for the hand-drawn part.
It still is hand-drawn. It's just digitally hand-drawn now, just like most cartoons.
CarozQH Hand-drawn doesn't automatically mean better.
CarozQH omg i remember, i copyed them, i have them on my wallnow
yes. it still is
And now, Anti-Sparky exists.
It is so incredibly obvious they're running out of ideas, it hurts.
Buba2426 Wow, there is a "evil" version of the asshole who nearly kill the main character two times in his debut. Is he the leader of the anti-fairies or something?
King Shoutmon If Anti-fairies are the opposite of fairies, shouldn't that make Anti-Sparky nice?
trevor simmons know what? After watching the preview of the episode where sparky "finds" money, im starting to belive that anti sparky is in fact Jesús
.
Buba2426 I use to like this show, but no my thoughts are "JUST END THE SHOW ALREADY, YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT DOING ANYTHING WITH IT SO JUST END IT."
Buba2426 Or as I'd call him in continuity to Foop, Ykraps.
Wait aren't Timmy's fairies usually disguise themselves as fish? So what is the point Timmy getting a pet? The motivation of the episode makes no sense
the nick execs saw the "poochie" episode of the simpsons decided to steal that idea without watching how the episode ended
@Hannah Papernick-Yudin They can turn into dogs
Yep. Consistence what’s that?!
@Hannah Papernick-Yudin Did you even watch just one episode of the series?
Because they wanted to give him a real pet. 😒
Apparently, Sparky got such negative reception from the audience that he's just not going to appear in Season 10.
Stephen Brown :)
Stephen Brown
Was there a backstory for how he just dissappeared? It'll be lazy to just make him go away without an explanation.
He died on his way back to his home planet. With Poochie
You're Reading My Name, Aren't You? -
You're underestimating the lack of shits the FOP writing staff gives at this point. They aren't writing anymore, they're laboring. Doing only what the boss wants them to do in order to get their paycheck.
Also fun fact
Butch Hartman KNOWS the show is getting worse, it’s in a colab drawfee video
So the audience is aware, the creator(s) aware, pretty much everybody but nick is aware
Now that I'm older and see how The Fairy Odd Parents took a nose dive in quality after being revived (as well as other long lasting shows like Family Guy and Spongebob), I'm glad Jimmy Neutron didn't have to suffer the same fate they did and ended on a good note.
mjangelvortex yeah, but even nickelodeon couldn't let THAT die in piece, because they made planet sheen
Justin Talmadge At least you can pretend a spin off never happened. People do it all the time!
Justin Talmadge yeah, the show lost it's spark. I'm surprsed it made it this long. hnestly i thought iit ended years ago.
digikate813 GT?
Butch Hartman: Damn. The show is still going. Let's make a new girl character to be friends with Timmy. AND give her fairies! That will surely end this show.
-one season later...
Butch: Shit! At this rate, I'll never revive Danny Phantom.
Nooo Dont revive any shows. They ended perfectly fine. Doing anything will make it worse!
science the rat we need to reboot da boom crew.
science the rat you think I'm joking? Screw you I'm Tony hawking out of here.
ThisIsNotMyRealSelf it's a great idea.
BlythePennyBicycle21
Probably.
At least Cosmo and Wanda wanting a baby in Fairly Odd Baby sort of made sense.
Well, fish (normal ones) are like platypus(es?), they don’t do much.
Couldn't he just wish them into dogs??

A new female character will be joining Timmy in season 10. (Sigh) another wire hooked up to the life support machine this show is on.
+Doctor Minjinx Let me guess, intended love triangle, who also has fairies. What about Tooty, Trixie, or that blonde girl with the Helga Tsundere complex. Is this a Love triangle or a f_cking! Love PENTAGON!!! Instant Romantic Plot Tumor... just... *sigh*, I want my sequel to Hey Arnold! called Hey Helga! or something... but Ninja Turtles and Element bending Martial Artist's is all you have... fine... Fine... FINE!!!
Tony Davis
Get this, she has to share Cosmo and Wanda with Timmy.
***** Pretty much.
+illinguy34 which is worse One Course Meal or Fairly Odd Pet
ian ward One Coarse Meal.
illiniguy34 I agree with you but which is worse one course meal or are you happy now
ian ward Still One Coarse Meal.
Everything wrong with Nick
1.They Never Know when to end a show
2.They keep on getting shows from the internet
3.They don't know when an episode went to far (ex: One Coarse Meal)
4.To much "toilet humor"
Bacon-Eating Penguin
5. They never learn from their mistakes
Bacon-Eating Penguin
6. Good shows come to an end.
Bacon-Eating Penguin when nick is going to stop doing toilet humor?
+paladindragoongirl18 At least there were some "okay" things it aside from the WTFery, but Breadwinners? Breadwinners would've fit in along with the garbage from the 1990's!
Sparky: I have to go now. My home planet needs me.
Sparky died on the way back to his homeworld.
LMAO....wouldn't that have been a better ending?
Everyone: Oh no! Anyway...
Guess what Mr Enter? Nickelodeon just announced FOP is getting a 10th season. AND THEY'RE ADDING ANOTHER NEW CHARACTER! This time it's a new neighbor and apparently Timmy's going to have to SHARE his fairies with her!
I...I...I don't even know anymore.
toontownwiz2 Send in Jorgen Von Strangle to take Timmy's Fairies already if that even happens.
STOP PICKING ON POOR CHLOE!
DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!
+Jorge Davila Well, she might be added just for more comedy
I'm sorry but we should at least give her a cua
+Jorge Davila
I will give her a cue, but a chance, I don't know...
Camp....camp....camp
*****
Camp...camp...camp...
YAMS.
Dammit people, this ain't Call Of Duty, stop campin'!... Or not...
THANK GOD!
While I'm not saying I don't believe you, can I have a source please? Just to clarify
Good mornin'.
I can imagine what Anti Sparky looks like...clearly
O_O
*goes away*
OH.
*comes back*
Now that that's put of my system....darn. i really hoped it was gonna end.
This show is dead. Nothing can revive it. At least they would have had an excuse if Butch Hartman wasn't working on it anymore, but that isn't the case. He needs to pull the plug since, let's face it, Nickelodeon sure as hell won't!
I never liked the show even when I was a kid.
The thing is HE TRIED TO! Many, many times! The last episode was supposed to be "Timmy the barbarian" but NO Nickelodeon had him make yet ANOTHER season!!!
***** Because whoever owns Nickelodeon now is putting style over substance.
Andrew Homer no, they're just producing pandering crap with no style or substance
yotsubafanfan The 3rd Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour was supposed to end the Fairly Odd Parents. But after a year they revived it
"We see that Timmy is outside and the dam bursts. So Timmy goes to save him."
Anyone else notice that?
Nessie Rose I didn't. >_
Eh, not as big of a mistake as Sparky.
PurpleWind64 Yeah. Sparky is an awful character; if you can even call him a character.
+Nessie Rose
There is an Anti-Sparky character now, apparently. Just looked it up. Why people continue to watch the show, by proxy giving Nickelodeon financial incentive to keep this garbage airing, I do not know.
Logan Mohring I was in the room when my brother was watching that episode. Fairy Odd Parents is really running out of jokes and should just stop.
This show has gone to crap, and this was one of my favorite shows when I was younger. What happened?!
They just kept adding and adding characters.
+Alpha Jay Show Oh boy.
Lets be honest. SpongeBob has more dignity than the Fairly Oddparents. But FOP isnt even on life support, IT IS DEAD!!! I just wish they finally ended the show.
*****
I completely agree.
Mr. Enter isn't THAT bad, his show has gotten better if anything.
All this toilet humor should be flushed down... the Super Toilet...
AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! So much clogging...
zelda64rules
And here is where I'd put my Super Plunger, IF I HAD ONE!
Ivan Simpson C'mon Timmy... Ride your super bike.. >:) We're not scraping for ideas we swear it's an innocent plot about Timmy's Dad being insecure about his son not being proud of him It's DEFINITELY not a cliche
Ivan Simpson It took the plunger... THE WHOLE PLUNGER!!!
+zelda64rules HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Z000 FOONY! ITZ AZ FOONY AZ POO!
You have 64 thumbs up. My favorite number! XD
Bruh he finally reviewed that episode a couple days ago lol. By modern FOP standards it's not horrendous imo
so... instead of giving tootie a fairy they do this shit? she is so miserable! and timmy has 4 fairies already!
Huh, interesting I`ve never really thought about it that way...
Why does Chloe gets faires when she literallty has everything
respect
money
talent
intelegence
toys
friends
she's litterally called in the show the perfect human being and she for some reason gets fairies
+Senketsu “Kamui Senketsu” Flores
Supposedly it's because she always messes up every time she tries to do good.
+Senketsu “Kamui Senketsu” Flores Kiryuin she even called the president!
3:33 wait. wait, wait wait wait waitwaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT!
"the turtle is not magic. the poop is."
and another plot hole is born! why is a non-magic turtle at a FAIRY PET STORE?
hannahlicious100 maybe because the turtle produces something that can be used for magic, and would be useful for somebody who used that type of magic often, like a wizard owning a parakeet because parakeet feathers are useful in enchanted capes.
@@jackolantern9034 why would the fecal matter be magic, though? the turtle ISN'T magical at all, so how would it be able to produce something otherworldly, when the creature itself is NOT otherworldly?
it's just some random joke that didn't make any sense.
Wait a fuck! Dickelodeon gets to stay after 25 years (and it's COMPLETE and TOTAL ass!), but the Hub has to go after a little over four?!
Yes, because Nick is one of those big companies that will literally shit out money just because it can, so it can just buy its way into staying on.
Those poor kids. Their parents just shove them in front of the TV and have them watch whatever it's on just to shut them up and keep them seated.
Just because the hub changed it's name, doesn't mean anything, it'll still have that pony show y'all love so much
Nick has a great history of good shows that now is bad. Also Hub is just changing it's name.
Dav Man What's it getting changed to (I haven't been keeping up lately...)
You know who Sparky reminds me of? Poochie from _The Simpsons_. You know, that in-universe cartoon character who everybody hated?
I thought so too only wish he was here.
And that guy was made to satirize shows like Yo Yogi.
Sparky is also a ripoff of Cosmo and Duddley(T.U.F.F Puppy).
The episode where that fairy baby was born really marked the end of this series, the official notice that the writers had run out of ideas. And that was back in 2008! They've kept going for 7 more years after this series was milked dry!
0:05 actually, even if foop is completely useless, he is makes it up with his personality and his jokes, BEST PART OF THIS SERIES
Oh yea I forgot to mention. You all remember when Timmy found out that Cosmo and Wanda use to be Crocker's Fairies? Well apparently......wait for it..........Sparky use to be Crocker's dog too!!
GASP! I had NO idea!
(...no really. I didn't. I haven't watching FOP since this episode.)
Well that's just a frickin continuity paradox.
thats makes sense he wants his fairies back
Brandon Roberts It took you THIS long!?!?!? I applaude your self-control...
BlythePennyBicycle21 > implying this show ever had continuity
Actually chickens naturally eat their own eggs if they are broken. I've seen them attack them like piranhas. That being said I actually made two potbelly pigs cannibals once when drunk. But cannibalism is so common in nature so meh. And at least it was organic pork. :'D
***** Well in most human cultures we are taught to regard cannibalism that way.
Remember when Timmy's pets were just Cosmo and Wanda following him around in public as animals?
Remember when the show was better?
So his mom is allergic to cats and yet he had one in the flashback?Wtf
Season 10 Chloe
Season 11 Nega-Chloe

Edit: Thanks for all the likes and the shits & giggles, This was an interesting comment thread and I wish I get to experience something like this again, also sorry for all the tortured souls
Edit 2: a 4 year shitpost that will always be one of my favorites. Might archive it sooner or later
Edit 3: Archived! Also, now that Fairly Odd Parents is suddenly relevant again, I guess this joke could still go on for another 50 replies? Nah
Yay I can't wait for the shark

Season 20: Nega-Sparkels
+HeavyMetalAlicorn/DragonWolf and the said child is named Shiny
My god, it's Poochie, they actually unironically made Poochie.
Not. Fucking. Die.
I smell a crossover between these two turds... hopefully to end both series forever!
***** I think hats asking too much
zuzoscorner I have a feeling MLP "will" end up being "somewhat" like Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents, IF Hasbro doesn't put it to a halt eventually. There are only so many ideas a single show can take before it starts losing quality, and since MLP is showing no signs of stopping, it will get bad pretty soon.
Timmy's complaining he doesn't have pets? What about his "magic little fish who grant his every wish"?
Well, fish (the normal ones) are like platypus(es?), they don’t do much.
Surgemaster2012 I just remembered. Does Timmy even hang out with Chester & AJ anymore?
Both Spongebob and OddParents are suffering from the "TV-shows-that-are obviously-running-on-too-long" syndrome.
cgaurd52 Sometimes.
If you're talking about the Animal Planet show, then I have.
Annie C. I wonder the writers got their inspiration from that show...
is that like My Cat From Hell but with dogs?
Superlazerninja12 I don't know what that is, but yes.
That show is awesome! And Bad Dog wasn't animal planet, I think it was a different channel.
Thank you... Thank you...
**looks up into the sky and sees Mr. Enter's face in the clouds**
Thank you...
Dude.... Where the fuck do you live?
So... is that like seeing Jesus in a toast?
Peasham
A place where Mr. Enter exist.
what you've been drinking? and where can i buy it?
I suppose i should get me passport... To Enter land!... Or Ponyville, i'd settle for Ponyville...
I am so sick and tired of the "Idiot Dad" cliche. It's like they're afraid that if they ever introduce a father character who's not abusive, single, or stupid, they'll be accused of being sexist. I'm sorry, but depicting competent male authority figures isn't automatically sexist.
Wait, aren't single father that are not stupid or abusive a good thing?
FanOfAnimation Yes, of course it is, but that's not what I mean. Writers seem to be under the impression that good fathers NEED to be single because they're not juxtaposed against the mother. In other words, they're afraid people are going to look at them and say "He's a better parent than his wife... MISOGYNY!!!!!"
Ironically, showing them all to be incompetent dumbasses IS sexism! Apparently, it's a-ok to portray men in such a negative light, but could you just imagine the outrage that would ensue if the women were this dumbed down? Stupid double standards...
Cody Fuqua I know, right? I'm not even a guy, but idiocy like this just pisses me off to no end.
I'm 99% sure Sparky is a rip-off of Doug from Up
And the salt on snails thing is a ongoing gag, though it's more funny when it's cosmo being the snail
+Emperor Palpitoad Doot Doot Doot doot, doot doot doot.
Doug is WAY smarter than Sparky and more likable
They look very similar.
That's an insult to Doug.
Does anyone remember Cosmo's original voice? It was the same actor and the series was still good after the change, but I preferred it when Cosmo sounded more like Timmy's dad. Also off topic fact, Timmy's parents are named Edgar and Clemence.
+Thomas Manley (clockwork) which is which? because they both sound like guy name's to me.
Ben Wood Really? I've never heard of a man named Clemence. Well, Edgar is his dad and Clemence is his mom.
i knew that edgar was a guy name, but don't you think that clemence also sounds somewhat masculine?
Ben Wood No.
well, maybe you don't because you pronounce it differently from how i do.
Shit like this is the reason I left cartoons for anime and video games.
**Flies away on 3DS**
won't your 3ds break if you fly with it?
angelpichu1 Already did when I was on an airplane.
All anime are cartoons but not all cartoons are anime.
AGREED!!!
There is now an Anti Sparky. Please tear "man's worst friend" apart.
They're just going to keep adding characters, and making "anti" versions of them.
I just saw the episode & I just wasted 26 mins of my life. The dialog in that ep is repetitive & this promotes the parents of being complete idoits
Yes All Grown Up was a pretty god show. But I'm talking about Rugrats specifically
+DeaditeWheatley Nooooo....
Just noooooooo...
the people that liked the rugrats movie have huge nostalgia goggles. to me, the movie did not age well at all. sure, it was good and emotional, but it felt like another pilot or an special that featured dil as the main character.
*Takes out apology card cannon*
If you've seen his third show (T. U. F. F. Puppy) then you know it's because he lost any intelligence that he used to have. Zeus Cervas probably slipped something in Hartman's drink at a party, and it made him turn into a pathetic excuse for a writer/creator.
Although, if he's actually do this to get this particular show canceled finally, then it's proof that Hartman is perfectly sane... But yeah, T.U.F.F. Puppy is pretty lame...
Jay R Was, I think it's gone.
I didn't even know the show was still actively making episodes until a month ago! The money-milking cow is so dry, powder is coming out of those utters!
And the milk's gone way way bad
And is bleeding money
seasonal rot: it can happen to any show, even shitty ones
May sound weird, but it is actually ok for chickens to eat chicken and eggs, in matter of a fact, it's healthy for them. Strange, huh?
Wait so chickens practice cannibalism? Is this some kind of...territorial thing? Like a rooster will eat the eggs made with other roosters when he's trying to gain dominance over the chickens and secure his genes? Or do the chickens just eat the eggs they think will spawn useless couch potatoes who never leave the coup and get a job?
So I guess it's healthy for them to be cannibals?
Actually I'm pretty sure eating human flesh causes horrible health and mental problems. Like, there's one where if you eat human brains, you contract a disease that eats your brain. Karma, I guess.
Taylor Jeanne I've never heard of any of this before.... I don't really eat too many humans so I wouldn't know first hand, but I know historically a lot of tribes of people in the past have practiced cannibalism of their enemies and their little empires didn't die out because of it. Those people died because eventually they got invaded by others.
Technically it isn't cannibalism. The stuff inside of an egg isn't chicken meat. A human isn't a cannibal for drinking human milk x3.
Did you notice that they removed the other new characters in that episode?
+James Porter YES!! I did.
Jean-Pierre Moreno Y'know I'm wondering if that new episode was intended to be the start of a spin off at some point
+Jean-Pierre Moreno
"New character: a baby!"
"New character: a bad clone of that baby!"
"New character: A hyperactive, annoying dog that had 0 hype for!"
"Kill us, please..."
"New character, the opposite of Timmy/a Mary Sue.
10:19
. . . . okay, here's a frequent problem I run into with Mr.
+DrenkrodNosmirc217 Okay. Here is the Abridged version:
Mr. Enter's criticisms don't make sense sometimes.
Truly amazing. well done friend.
Earned a sub.
I love how Timmy's parents have never questioned where the fish in his room came from
Boi, just wait for Chloe
I wonder which episode he hates more.
+Alpha Jay Show I'd say Chloe's episode, no question.
@@TheAlphaJayShow let's not get him too pissed. Those episodes can make a man have the world's shortest fuse when it comes to issues.
@@TheAlphaJayShow I’d put my money on the Chloe episode
@@isaacstevenson2960 Chloe? Dammit, first Miraculous Ladybug and now Fairly Odd Parents?! Any girl with that name is almost automatically guaranteed to be a kiss of death, I swear to god.
6:58 THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely HATE THAT ARCHETYPE!!!! Just once, can't we have a dad in some form of media that's ********* COMPETENT?!?!?!?!
Sorry for ranting, but I really do hate that trope, and I thank you for addressing it.
There are a few dads that are:
- Apparently Bob from Bob's Burgers is.
***** Thanks.
***** Don't forget Steven's dad Greg. Even though he isn't the smartest guy, at least he has his common sense and cares for his son.
Thank you for mentioning Father Bear! Little Bear was such a major part of my childhood!
Pretty much any father from a TV - Y show. Given that they're for really young children, they have to be role models!
Meanwhile at Nick Studios
Butch Hartman (Fairly Odd Parents creator): Hey Zeus, I need your help.
Nick Ex: I asked how your family was, it would be a shame if something was to happen to them (Pulls out a phone and dials hitmen)
Butch: We'll add a dog.
Nick Ex: That's more like it.
Butch in a nutshell.: Adios, I'm off to destroy childhood memories, like yours.
That's no dog! That's a Canadian!
I'm sorry.
haHAH!
*wait i dont get it*

Come on dude....
I'm not linked to some brain dead dog:/
At lest me nice...
I blame this terrible episode on one man. Dinkleburg...
What would be kinda interesting with sparky, he could be revealed to be an actual fairy.
He's like the only fairy pet with magic. Him being changed into a dog and forgetting about it would somewhat interesting imo.
Actually, eggs are good for chickens! It gives them back the calcium that's leached from their bodies.
Animal sanctuaries put hens' eggs in the chicken feed.
StaraptorEagle Ⓥ Besides eggs that we eat don't have embros so its not canablism if a chicken eats it.
Ah yes. I caught one of our hens eating an egg... silly thing. :P
StaraptorEagle Ⓥ Their unfertilized eggs are supposed to be good nutrition for them.
My grandma has hens. They will attack each other's eggs. I wouldn't be that surprised if they would eat a dead chicken.
+Mistress Meloetta
Also, I think Butch Hartman should have quit after the 5th season, then get a new producer for the 6th season and onwards that isn't as incompotent as he is. Kinda like how Paul Tibbitt took over Steven Hillenburg for Spongebob seasons 4 & onwards until Sponge Out of Water. Though, now that I think about it, I actually think that'll make the show even worse.
not sure if that should have happened then FOP would have been just as bad as new spongebob.
Out of all the shows they are remaking... Danny Phantom needs it
Touko White they should have gave Danny Phantom a good ending how did they end it?
Mistress Meloetta They had it to where Danny finally stops Vlad... But it was a bit lackluster imo
"On the downside, I just realized I don't know how to fly a plane!"
......... THEN HOW DID YOU FLY A PLANE IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOU TW-
Sparky? Poochie. Poochie, Sparky. Spark sparky Poochie Pooch. Poochie.
He must go. His planet needs him.
The only thing I can actually call impressive about Sparky's voice is the fact that he is voiced by a female actress
Transfemale.
It's hard to tell if the writers purposely forgot about Timmy's pet hamster in this episode to tell fans of the good old days of the show to stop watching and that it won't get any better, or that they just don't give a $hit anymore and are just randomly throwing out crap like the last few seasons of king of the hill.
***** Either way, what I said is still stands true. I really can't tell if the writers are trying to tell us something good or bad.
TheCartoonfaxuator Judging by the episode... I'm guessing something bad.
Peasham maybe their trying to tell their viewers that they want to end this series already but because of their contract with Nick they can't.
We must burn it, then... PYRO, GIT YUR ASS OVER HERE!
Because of his negative reception they permanently removed him from the show
season 11: All new! introducing Meowy the cat!
season 12: Introducing Please Save Me the bird!
season 13: Hey Kids!
No you don't spin off ,you die. If you don't die, than planet sheen happens.
What if Avatar took the FOP or Spongebob route? *shudders* The universe forgets its own rules and Aang meets another Avatar.
Crash Rocket Not necessarily. Remember Rugrats? Sure, All Grown Up wasn't great, but it was passable, at least.
All grown up is more of a sequel than a spinoff
Slashbash noooo don't wish that evil on us they already said they might make a third avatar series.
I think the show should have ended with the "Grow Up, Timmy Turner" movie.
Not to mention that the movie came out before this episode and Sparky isn't in it. Cosmo even makes a joke about Timmy remembering to feed the dog in which Wanda says Timmy doesn't have one. Sparky would have to have left before then, so how did he?
This show is definitely on it's last legs
Josh Nolen Apparently it's being moved to Nicktoons, which is apparently a sign that cancellation is most likely imminent for said show, at least according to what The Roundtable says about the show probably being cancelled.
Satoshi9801 "I wish.. I wish for another season!"
"are you sure, sport-"
"yES WANDA"
Satoshi9801 that wouldn't be a good note to end on honestly
Why is this show still alive?
because viacom need money and this is one of thing they have that have a chance of getting a positive recpetion
Oh hai, Based Spookwagen
Because potatoes, of course.
Well, our good old friend Zeus Cervas wants money for his baths.
I knew I would find you somewhere ...
Man, this episode must have end with Sparky saying "I have to go now. My planet needs me." and then a note saying that Sparky died in the way back to his home planet.
Poochy reference
Or he was killed at his planet by an oversized cat or something comical. Or he simply doesn't die but never comes back to earth.
Or they could take the Monty Python approach and have him crushed by the Killer Cars.
Fred Jones No, that would destroy all the good Monty Python has added to this world.
Fairly Odd Parents reminds us all of an invaluable lesson: all good things must come to an end.
Otherwise we get Modern Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents... or f**king Xiaolin Chronicles.
abloogywoogywoo i was actually considering watching xialin chronicles.... is it really that bad?
matthew taylor Didn't that show get cancelled back on 4kids?
matthew taylor Do not watch it. It cannot be unseen. Its that bad.
***** NO! DONT EVEN TRY TO GET DICKELODEON! WATCH LIKE DISNEY XD OR CARTOON NETWORK!
+abloogywoogywoo In my opinion, Xiaolin Chronicles is just... meh. To be honest, that's how I can describe it. It's meh.
Who remembers "Imaginary Gary" and "A Mile In My Shoes"?
I do
pepperidge farm remembers/your mom remembers
i was just thinking about this but they reuse that darth vader character but not imaginary gary
this isn't only the 50k sub special, this is a more special occasion
its episode 69

Sparky feels guilty when he causes his only owner that loved him to die for real. He walks away with guilt and remorse thinking to himself "What have I done"?
What the fuck happened to Trixie, Tootie, AJ and Chester? It's like they were blinked out of existence!
Not to mention they gave Timmy a new love interest out of absolutely nowhere. Although, I have to admit that I like her...
She's pretty much useless because we know who Timmy ends up with..
Mariana Gonzalez
Another one? Is Timmy the protagonist of a harem anime or something!?
Mariana Gonzalez Who is this new love interest? I haven't seen the new episodes and I don't want to, so....
I forget her name. She's some random blonde girl. xP

ElectricMayhem87
People thought that there was a decline in episode quality after Scrappy joined.
Same here. I didn't mind him much either.
At least he has guts. I think a lot of people just don't like how egotistical he is. Seriously, Puppy Power... what even is that?
I guess you could say the snail was..... A-SALT-ED.....I'll leave now.
Ok, that was kinda funny.
Wait... That show's still running?!
Darian Stephens Wait, that show is still running?
Moses Cen
So... you repeated what I said with slightly different punctuation? Why? Is that what you would've preferred me to use?

Sparky reminds me of Modern Patrick. I'm the only one that thinks that?
He's a bit like him, yes.
YOU!!!
He's ten times worse IMO
Hank Hill Sparky is based on Rick Moranis' character from Ghostbusters.

I bet Ladybird could kick his ass any God given time.
Thats disturbing.
*****
agreed

Actually that happened in later seasons when Sparky was cut off from the show lmao.
I saw Sparky's original concept art. One was a triangular shaped furball with a star tail, no legs and just a face on the fur with black ears. Even better, it didn't look like it could talk. If they'd stuck with that one, this concept might have been tolerable and even cute.
"Timmy's a Bad Pet owner because he fed his Chicken scrambled eggs!"
So what? Chickens will eat literally anything as long as it's edible. They will even eat their own kind or even their own cracked eggs. I would know because I've raised chickens with my grandmother for about six years. Also, don't let anyone tell you they can't fly. Yea, they can't reach the sky, but they'll cover some serious air if they're motivated.
You realize that makes the writers even stupider since they tried using the scene to show Timmy as a bad pet owner?
I remember many years back I went to the Philadelphia Zoo for a school field trip and we had lunch at some tables where there were chickens and peacocks roaming around. One of the people at my table fed a chicken a piece of their chicken and it actually ate it.
I am so glad i gave up on this show years ago
So am I.
upon rewatching this i thought of a possible darker turn on sparky's character that i know isn't real but i will pretend it is. all of sparky's previous owners were kids when they got him and as each one grew up they found him either obnoxious or he was just taken away and he is in a spirally cycle of denial
It's sad, it used to be one of my favorite cartoons :(
If you watched Fairly OddBaby, then you would know that Fairly OddPet is a terrible rehash of Fairly OddBaby.
"Good times" - Cosmo, 2003
4:34 Hey, a purple unicorn, I wonder if that's an intentional reference to Twilight Sparkle, because Timmy is voiced by Tara Strong
There's a good chance seeing as Raven now likes ponies in Teen Titans Go.

Probably because timmy and his godparents got sick of him and returned him to the pet store like all his other owners
