    Thank you for this post. You spoke to so many things. God knew I needed to hear someone else say they were pushing and feeling overwhelmed etc. Lastly, I am thankful you spoke to the mold issue. I feel it is such a hidden and unaddressed problem the more we speak to it the more people will find healing and understanding. I am praying for you and the lives God plans to touch through you

    Amazing how 1 yr ago your video in the finding DNRS was like a healing itself, you were as if Healed. But it’s still valid that how your brain gets hope-candy... and we nearly go manic in happiness.
    Then life keeps going on with its curve balls.
    But it still shows how powerful the brain is if we can control how we respond.

    I was wondering if you would be willing to do a video on how your relationship with your family and friends has changed with chronic illness and how you cope with the differences. Thanks!

    I can’t wait to hear more about the education you’ve learned in your nutrition program! I’m actually interested in doing it myself but I’m in college right now so I’m a little hesitant that it might be too much. Praying for your continual healing and I know God is using your story in big ways!! :)

    Thank you for your words of encouragement about trusting God with your circumstances. I've been dealing with some health issues for awhile now, and I've been feeling very defeated, frustrated, worried etc. I really needed to hear what you said about doing what you can, and trusting God with the rest. We can only do so much, and it's all in God's timing. Thank you for sharing your journey!

    Hi everyone, I don’t comment often but i felt the need to ask for prayers right now. First, a little bit of backstory: I am currently 16 years old but I’ve suffered from chronic pain almost all over my body (mostly in my back, hips, knees, neck, and ankles) for almost 5 years. I’ve been watching Mandy every since she began documenting her journey and I was drawn to her because I knew that she is someone who understands me and that was something that I still have never really been able to find. Although this journey has been very difficult, seeing Mandy’s positivity has really encouraged me to keep praying and to keep fighting even when it’s really hard. With that being said, i have recently been given a potential diagnosis, but it’s not good. There is a chance that the source and the reason for all of this pain that I have been in is the presence of either an ovarian cyst, or worse, ovarian cancer. I’ll be getting the proper ultrasounds later this week to find out for sure. While I’ve been praying for an answer and a diagnosis for this pain for years I don’t want this to be the answer. The thought of the possibility of ovarian cancer scares me to death and it’s really hard for me to understand how this can be what God wants for me. Amway, I’m sorry for writing so much but I’ve become extremely overwhelmed with this news and this was a place where I felt safe to share it. All I ask for is prayers right now. Thank you❤️ and I’m sorry for writing so much

    Holy 💯 on the confusion and battling to figure out my health issues and trying to remember to 🙏 it's so hard when traditional doctors treat u like u're crazy. I live in NY, which is a state that does not recognize functional medicine doctors as doctors, but I'm considering going out of state at this point.

      Oh girl, that's so tough. Have you tried this website? I bet you could find a practitioner somewhere in NY!

      @@MandyMeehan they're allowed to practice here but not allowed to be doctors or even order blood work for that matter or any clinical testing. So unless u manage to find a Dr who's willing to work with u in conjunction with a functional (😂) u're out of luck. I live upstate and I've found a functional dr in Vermont that's a hour away that I'm probably going to give a shot.

    Being overwhelmed is not "good" as you say in this video when you have CFS/Fibro etc. as the symptoms of these illnesses all result from the maladaptive stress response/overdrive of sympathetic nervous system (DNRS calls it a limbic system impairment), The best thing to do is get real tools to deal with any and all stressors and learn ever day to decrease overwhelm, stress, frustration, sadness, etc, anything that keeps us from being in a "healing state" (Optimum Health Clinic in UK, the largest CFS clinic I believe, uses this term). If I feel overwhelmed in any way I tap (EFT) increase mediation, do my breathing. It is wonderful to feel comforted with the bible, friends, etc. but that does not necessarily bring down one's stress level about what ever issues are bothering us. I have basically been following a lot of OHC advise and do 40 minutes of daily mindfulness mediation a day, Do EFT (I do fasterEFT/Eutaptics) everyday and stop all stressful though patterns, cultivated a lot of self love and compassion with help of Louise Hay and other emotional/spiritual work and have gone from barely sleeping and shuffling around my house to now walking 3 miles a day (I started at 5 minutes a day months ago, in the past month I went from 2 miles a day to 3). Diet is an important but small part as I had the same diet when I was very ill to now when I am much better and now have even successfully been introducing back limited amounts of dairy, gluten and other things and feel great. I still have some symptoms but have slowly brought my stress response down and every single month/6 week period I have made small but steady improvements, with faster improvements the past 2 months (It is a virtuous cycle as the more I see myself improving see full health in the near future the less stress/the less I am living in fear). The biggest stress we have with these illnesses is the symptoms and the illness. Here is a recovery story published yesterday of a client of the OHC who talks about using the tools that the OHC uses daily (meditation, EFT, and and their "Stop" process which is used to stop any type of stressful thinking/stressful thought patterns, thoughts about symptoms, illness etc.) ruclips.net/video/NHaAPzNP-kE/видео.html

      There are other CFS/Fibromyalgia/POTS/MCS (other than the OHC and DNRS) which put the central nervous system dysfunction at the root cause of these illnesses, The Gupta Programme and CFS Rewire (see CFS Unravelled youtube channel). Look at all recovery stores for evidence. I bought a subscription to The Optimum Health Clinic's Secrets To Recovery website and it has about 20 recovery stories and over 100 hours of helpful audios, which I continue to listen to and find helpful. There are lots recovery stories on OHC's RUclips channel also.

    The confusing thing is now you are talking about mold illness when you previously stated that you found the "root cause" of your CFS and that it was "heavy metals." You talked about your treatment for "heavy metals" a few months ago, did you have any results? I think it is great that you are pursing this for yourself as you feel it is important and great that talking about your experience on your channel but do you think you should be advocating finding a functional medicine "root cause" and working with a functional medicine practitioner for other people before you have had positive results?

    • @evelinel.9827
      @evelinel.9827 6 лет назад

      I feel like food and functional medicine (everything is toxicity or deficiency mindset) is your current belief system (especially combined with what you are studying right now/the career you have planned ) so that you are maybe not wanting to see that thus far you have received very limited benefits from all this.

    • @MandyMeehan
      @MandyMeehan  6 лет назад +1

      Hey Eveline,
      I totally get where you are coming from. I think it’s tough when you are getting little snapshots of what is going on in my mind and my life, without truly being able to get the full context.
      When it comes to the “root cause”, it is never just one thing. It all goes down to my body not being able to detoxify well, and then many stressors (chemical toxins, some heavy metals, and likely mold toxicity) all that caused damage to my brain.
      When it comes to making progress, I have made very really and exciting steps in the right direction. Of everything I’ve done, working with a great functional medicine practitioner has been most helpful for me. DNRS has been very helpful too, but not as much as working with a FM practitioner.
      All that to say, working with an fmd isn’t necessarily for everyone, but it has been incredibly helpful for me. I’m excited to continue to retrain my brain around my triggers, but it can be really challenging to do that when I’m continuing to be re-exposed to them without realizing it.
      Hope that helps bring a little more context. I know what’s helped you might be a different approach, and that’s okay. 💜

      Mandy Meehan lol Yes I was like that sounds like morning sickness 😂 after my 3rd baby I lost so much blood and had 6 blood transfusions. I think I have chronic fatigue because it’s hard for me to get up and do things I get really dizzy and when I get like that I have a hard time seeing.. it’s really weird but then I started doing some research and I feel like that’s why I can’t handle many tasks.. I tried to talk to someone about it and they were saying I was probably depressed and I’m not I know my own body... I can’t go see a dr though because I don’t have insurance so I’ve been following a lot of stuff you do and also my grandma is a nutritionist so she has given me a lot of advice and vitamins I take daily so I’m praying it will go away one day but it’s been about 8 months of struggling!
