    I had no idea what I was getting into. Oh, for sure I’d played Seether’s songs at full volume, and I knew Shaun Morgan wrote some pretty intense lyrics. But still, I walk in to meet him after a show, and he has a drink waiting for me. Um, suffice to say, I think if I would’ve finished it, I wouldn’t been able to finish the interview! Shaun was soft hearted and hard hearted. He’s lived through more than most will ever imagine. We recorded this in some lockerroom thing after an outdoor concert on June 11, 2011. And it is riveting from the get go. -Frank

    God “damn” I love this fucking guy! I can relate to everything he feels and believes in. He speaks truth on what he feels and doesn’t give a “flying fuck” about what people think of his beliefs! Love you Shaun!

    I know this interview is pretty old, but this is the most heart wrenching interview I've ever heard. I can relate to Shaun so much. I can't wait to personally meet them in may 2017

    I've noticed traumatized kids tend to grow up to be creative IF they can find an outlet aside from addiction. I turned to painting/art. I love singing and music, but i can't carry a tune in a bucket. Being in a band (school) was my first outlet. Shaun seems to have found his outlet in writing music and singing, and he and the band have all done an amazing job at it. Their music resonates with me wirh my childhood trauma, sh*t mother, bad relationships and flat out bad decisions over many years. I hope people like Seethers members realize their music genuinely helps people.

    I like Shaun very much, I admire his honesty and self awareness. I feel for his suffering and neglect as a child. The only thing he said that I disagree with, was that it wasn’t fair that he has to support a kid he didn’t ask to have...a girl can’t get herself pregnant. You have to be careful who you sleep with and use protection! Other than that point, I was riveted by this interview.

    • @michellemedina3763

      That's exactly what I was thinking. I think he is jaded a lot. Not trying to be mean. Men swallow this idea of its them against us. So for him he might have found himself in an unlikely and unfortunate situation where he was in fact victimized. But when this happens with him I have noticed he gets easily offended and often ends up in bad relationships. Men are also responsible for who they sleep with as you said. And he mentions seeing God in his daughter? Fuck man be thankful for that! You got that baby girl. Even if the ex manipulated stuff she will grow up and appreciate him. But if I found out my dad said that shit I would be upset. So yes shaun grow up and stop being so sinical.

    Great interview. I am a huge Seether fan and I feel like Shaun is in my head taking notes when I hear their lyrics. This is the first interview by Frank Jenks I have ever listened to and I really liked it. He reminds me of my real dad. I don't talk to him much but his tone, perspective on life and the words he uses and sincerity in relating to Shaun.

    Its like I was meant to find this. So many similarities in our lives. Sometimes I beleive that our lives start over when we die and there are choices to make it different. Or signs from our dead selves to make the change so we dont end up the same.

      I was planning on killing myself by taking methadone and xannax and putting a plastic bag over my head as i passed out, but when I heard about his brother ( im also 26) I changed my mind. That thought didnt occur to me for some reason (what id be doing to my brother). We were eachothers parents. Im releived i heard him talk about that.

    Babies know no sin. Do not set yourself up to believe they do.

    • @damonwhitsell6911
      @damonwhitsell6911 9 лет назад

      salidin2000 I disagree. Because if you ever take a one or two year old and let them play until they get tired and hungry,, the last think you want to do is chunk them JUST ONE veinna sausage. If you do you better break it in half and give one to eah because they will get nasty with each other really quick, especially if they are boys. And acting selfishly and self centered is the very essence of sin.
      Sad to say that Shaun does not understand religion. They are not alike, Buddhism does not even have a God and some religions say God is a person and some say God is a force. And there is not one single Christian denomination that believes "Hell will be full of babies". All protestants denoms teach an age of accountability and claim you cannot be saved unless you can understand what salvation is and the gospel message of Christ - so babies are in exempt from judgement. Even the Catholicism and Eastern orthodoxy baptize babies and say they are saved when they do.

    • @salidin2000
      @salidin2000 9 лет назад

      It's called the age of accountablity. That's when you know for a fact that what you're doing is not right. All children are protected until such time. That's the point I was trying to imply.

    Interesting. Shaun doesn't believe in God. And then he wants to blame God for screwed up people. God is real. Free will. God doesn't force people to love Him. He doesn't force people to be good.

    It's frustrating to hear the ignorance about how "God" took his brother, sorry but he chose to jump out of that window. We make choices everyday, he made a choice that day, "God". And his gnostic philosophy... Does he realize he sounds just like a gnostic christian?
