Exactly what I expected from a seether rig. Pure and good quality sound - no need for special effects. Thats why their music translates so well into acoustic. I‘m glad after all these years they stayed down to earth guys! 🤘🏽
0:26 that riff made out its way to be Against The Wall. "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents". Glad to see what it turned out to be a great song.
Isaias Barros my word they are I'm hoping they come to australia. They remind me so much of early pearl Jam and nirvana. I personally think they are one of the most underrated bands of all time
I am South African myself and Shaun is actually from South Africa. There's some vowels we pronounced differently than the North America pronounced their vowels. We do say yeah or ja instead of yes. Think Jah instead of Tja. (I think)
South Africa does have some British grammar and rules on the English language. I can't remember if Shaun and Dale speak Afrikaans as first language or second language. But yeah, I was thinking they would lose their accent over time from touring overseas. Sometimes the root of the past stays with you. But it's still there. Australian accent is abit different the British in terms of pronunciation. But close.
Funny how some musicians put a piece of tape on the pedal with what the pedal is writing on it, like Dale does at 13:22. That’s what the bright colors are for... lol Anyway, Love this band! \m/
PRS offered to make him signature prs guitar and he declined and went to schecter. Now he’s with Ernie ball music man. Are they still selling his signature shecter guitars somewhere or am I just unlucky to not get one of his schecter guitars before he moved to Ernie ball?
Andyuf2 you have to remember that amps are very heavy and large and that traveling can be expensive, especially with a lot of gear. Musicians usually aren't rich, so modelers can be really helpful.
Nutcracker ballet performance loves to crack up at all the little nervous system overdrives in tics on the Chosen Ones. This shows off the nerds candy inside thee's.
Dudes made a career out of kinda sounding like other shit. He's so cheesy and pathetic to be a professional musician that it's at once depressing and oddly encouraging.
I love learning about the technical aspects of the gear, especially with a South African accent! Also, Shaun, thought you might be interested in this: autoconnectioncars.com/cars-for-sale/1969-ford-t5-gt-fastback/
first of all Shaun has a great grungy voice, beautiful songs and all.... but in this video he must had slow down his marijuana intake or just do more cocaine because he speaks much faster than what he used to ahhaaha
I love his guitar model. Simple all the way. I was gifted and amazing guitar with a Floyd Rose and floating tremolo or whatever, I can't use it for the life me. Complicated mess. Couldn't be bothered... No reason simple doesn't work.
Guitar pickups reached its pick with Seymour Duncan JB and 59. No humbucker sounds better...period. All other pickups are just about feeling a niche...thats about it Dimarzio Breed and Paf pro is good to.
Isn’t it ironic that “Broken”, “Remedy”, “Fine Again”, “Fake It” and “Rise Above This” became more popular in America than SA (South Africa, not San Antonio). Also, it’s a shame that Dale and Shaun don’t have U.S. citizenship because the live in the U.S. for 20 years now but remain there South Africa Citizenship. But to be fair Shaun and Dale lived in Johannesburg, South Africa in ‘99 til ‘01. Then, moved to LA if I am correct, Idk if. Somebody can clarify that would be great.
@@shaunmorgan5578 Your very welcome Shaun, I hope it’s ok that I call you by your first name Hope all is well with you and the guys in seether and your families, you guys in seether were a very big deal with me growing up in Canada in the early 2000s and the way you’ve been about mental health is just amazing, Eugene, your brother would be proud of this I hope you know that and I know how close your were too him, I heard a very well known fact that Eugene your brother wasn’t only your brother he was also your first guitar tech and he moved with you and Dale to the States in ‘01 is there any truth to that story at all like I know it’s a painful to talk about your brother without him by your side it’s just I can’t imagine having a brother that’s alive and then next thing you know he’s dead. Anyways gotta go - Evan
Love him. This band really PLAYS live, no "fake pro tools track shit" with them :)
Seether is raw and true to sound. Even in their Saron days they were very raw. I love their sound overall
Seether is so underrated, they are one of the best bands in my opinion.
Exactly what I expected from a seether rig. Pure and good quality sound - no need for special effects. Thats why their music translates so well into acoustic. I‘m glad after all these years they stayed down to earth guys! 🤘🏽
When he messes up at 0:25 or 0:26 and he looks up like he's blaming God. He's like why are you doing this to me now.
😂
Blaming God? From what planet are you from mate?
Why me?!
I didnt do shit mate
Probably is blaming Odin
I met seether 2 years ago at Roseland Theater and Dale handed me one of his picks with his face on it. Really cool guys!
0:26 that riff made out its way to be Against The Wall. "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents". Glad to see what it turned out to be a great song.
This was recorded after the album came out.
the fact Dales Wah has Hello Kitty Duct Tape on it makes me so happy. XD
And now you are all fuzzy inside.
Andre Ungerer Wah wah my comments underrated
First time I saw them was at "Oppikoppi" and I knew they would be a huge success. Well done Saron Gas!
I was at their last gig as Saron Gas at The Doors in Edenvale, then saw them again in Manchester in 2012, the hometown boys done good!
"Let's talk about this bad boy!" - John Bohlinger :D Love this Man! :D
I absolutely love Shaun he’s so criminally underrated and I love his use of feedback
Lol his guitar tech is him but with glasses
And a bigger beard
LMAO
I enjoyed this rig rundown. It would've been cool to have Shaun demo his dirty sound as well as his clean sound tho
Agreed Shaun's and the band have a great dirty sound. One of the best Hard Rocking sound in the industry imho
been a fan of Seether for a very long time, really excited to hear their new album!
Any rig rundown with John is always great.
Love the looper between idea.
Simple and powerful....true Rock n´ Roll
Seether is awesome
Isaias Barros my word they are I'm hoping they come to australia. They remind me so much of early pearl Jam and nirvana. I personally think they are one of the most underrated bands of all time
Yeah, Seether is an amazing band, they should be bigger all around the world
“I love Schecter” *moves to Ernie Ball*
He's just using them he is not endorsed or sponsored
@@minuscaseus I'll have to look out for that. Love my Schecter Snow Leopard
Ahh the Cantrell wah, how I love you so
man shaun is such a cool dude
I wanted Dale to do a little "Bruised and Bloodied" I kept waiting for it!!!! \m/
Those guitars look like a nod to Johnny Ramone's Mosrites too..
I was at that show in Nashville! They put on a great show!
Cool
Really love that Mosrite Style Shape
I can hear some of the South African accent from Shaun... :)
For example?
I am South African myself and Shaun is actually from South Africa. There's some vowels we pronounced differently than the North America pronounced their vowels. We do say yeah or ja instead of yes. Think Jah instead of Tja. (I think)
I understood.
It almost sounds slightly British or Australian to me in some parts.
But close.
the Chord progression at the beginning reminds me of Higher from Creed
Exactly what I thought.
Yeah
More like My Sacrifice. Great songs either way!
Same chords (maybe a different key) as My Sacrifice by Creed. Similar to Higher as well.
Where's Clints rig? By the way. Its a Kemper and he has awesome sounds. And some sweet PRS guitars.
Beautiful guitar!
Shaun's guitars are awesome. I'd love to get one of em.
I wonder what kind of distortion would get his sound since he uses the amp distortion for his distortion
Diezel distortion pedal
Whats the intro song?
Paweł Hahn It's a song called "Against the Wall" from their new album.
Funny how some musicians put a piece of tape on the pedal with what the pedal is writing on it, like Dale does at 13:22. That’s what the bright colors are for... lol
Anyway, Love this band! \m/
OMG Shaun Morgan you are fantastically GORGEOUS!! ❤❤❤❤
John Bohlinger reminds me of Fire Marshall Bill.
That "Leelee" Dale's moment is just perfect. XD
The band DOWN would be a good rig to do. Can you please do it. DOWN is a bad ass band I love the metal southern sound they do. Please do one. Thanks
Creed and seether are my faves... Seeing Shaun Morgan playing my sacrifice is just awe inspiring.
He's not playing creed. It's Against the Wall off of Poison the Parish.
PRS offered to make him signature prs guitar and he declined and went to schecter. Now he’s with Ernie ball music man. Are they still selling his signature shecter guitars somewhere or am I just unlucky to not get one of his schecter guitars before he moved to Ernie ball?
Great to see bands using something other than modelers.
Andyuf2 i hate those rigs full of kempers or stuffs like that are boring
Laptop Rundown? You mean Rig Rundown for dubstep artists?
Andyuf2 you have to remember that amps are very heavy and large and that traveling can be expensive, especially with a lot of gear. Musicians usually aren't rich, so modelers can be really helpful.
i agree they are boring but the tone is still badass
Shaun is a very talented dude! Seems very cool! Huge fan of Seether, great live band and he is a great live singer!
what is that song he's playing at the beginning
Against the wall
3:57 I’m a big fan of the band Chevelle as well ;)
He's talking about the car
Against the Wall is my song. Thanks
You sound so amazing
South Africans are so modest. Keep to your roots... Well done Shaun.
Nutcracker ballet performance loves to crack up at all the little nervous system overdrives in tics on the Chosen Ones.
This shows off the nerds candy inside thee's.
After hearing Shaun talk in this video, I'm convinced, he could be a great rapper.
A great Rig Rundown you guys could do is one for Iron Maiden. That would be amazing!
I love when he says his main guitar
they're really nice people to be interviewed
Where can i find this song?
Dude, I wish those models were back in stock😮😢
Shaun Du bist fantastisch!😊
Schecter needs to make his signature guitar in those colors
Somewhat Irrelevant comment: I thought Shaun looked short here, but google says he's 6'2. How talls the other guy?
Shaun doesn't look 6'2 to me, he looks more like 5'9 or maybe 5'10
i lpve you can youkeep it doing....kusjes tati
Uses multile thousand dollar custom guitar as a pointer stick for his pedal rig -Shaun Morgan everybody
Before they said muscle cars that’s what I was thinking shauns awesome
SEETHER forever🤟🤟🤟
What camera setup do you guys use? The picture is always super crisp.
just got to the part where he says what clint is using. hehe.
I didn't even think they were still together.
Harrysound wtf? Why?
I Absolutely love this guy what a gift to the 🌍#lovzmesomseetberfuckyeh🤘
His talking voice doesn't even match is singing voice amazing
That beginning was his new song against the wall!
8:59 idk why i'm so intimidated by him tapping that pedal twice
i was watching this for like 2 minutes straight aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh
The intro reminds of My Sacrifice by Creed.
Dudes made a career out of kinda sounding like other shit. He's so cheesy and pathetic to be a professional musician that it's at once depressing and oddly encouraging.
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer I bet you’re fun at parties....
Con tan poco hace tanto, por eso mi pedalboard hay así mismo unos cuantos pedales y como tal, en su mayoría BOSS
I can’t find Shaun Morgan’s Signature guitar on Schecter guitars nor guitar center. Can someone tell me what happened?
His Schecter models were discontinued in 2018-2019, you can only find them on www.schecterguitars.com under the vault series
@@evanfairlie8830 can you still buy it there?
I don’t think so you can try.
I actually thought the guitar tech was a cardboard cutout when they were in the studio, until he blinked lmao. No offense Brad. Love your work bud.
My Dad's friend Judah used to do guitar tech for them
Very cool
I have one of Shaun’s guitar necks with the tape on it 😂
drownmywilltofly I just ordered one and it will be arriving in December. Are all of them taped?
Das Tofutier I don’t know I literally just have the neck. He gave it to me.
Wow that‘s amazing! How did he gave it to you? :-D after a concert?
Das Tofutier yes. He smashed his guitar and gave me the neck. Prized possession.
Nice guitar
morgan's tweakin
I almost wanna trade my Schecter in...**salivating over guitars**
You'd think after doing this for so long he wouldn't keep forgetting to ask about strings, picks, etc...
Shaun uses 11-49 Ernie ball, and dunlop 1mm tortex, and Dale uses Ernie ball .55-110 and from videos his fingers
Such a nice rig shocked he doesn’t use a noise gate then again he loves feedback
I love learning about the technical aspects of the gear, especially with a South African accent!
Also, Shaun, thought you might be interested in this: autoconnectioncars.com/cars-for-sale/1969-ford-t5-gt-fastback/
Bummer how the relationship between Shecter and Seether ended, I guess nothing lasts forever!
first of all Shaun has a great grungy voice, beautiful songs and all.... but in this video he must had slow down his marijuana intake or just do more cocaine because he speaks much faster than what he used to ahhaaha
🎶my sacrifice...
RichieTwentyfive reminds me more of My Opwn Prison, but it's probably Seether showing them respect instead of ripping them off.
I love his guitar model. Simple all the way. I was gifted and amazing guitar with a Floyd Rose and floating tremolo or whatever, I can't use it for the life me. Complicated mess. Couldn't be bothered... No reason simple doesn't work.
Didnt even hear Dale play )=
The less I have to do the better...lol
First time i heard Shaun talk, Weird....
Shaun's guitar looks like a strat and an explorer had a baby.
Mosrite style like Kurt Cobain played
Guitar pickups reached its pick with Seymour Duncan JB and 59.
No humbucker sounds better...period. All other pickups are just about feeling a niche...thats about it

Shaun's signature looks like Johnny ramones mosrite guitars
tastybaconsensation Shaun loves mosrite guitars.
And Kurt Cobain even though the Musicman Stringray RS is basically a ripoff of Kurt’s Fender Mustang.
KIFF🤟🏻
Just saw psalms 8:2. The avengers!!!
Awesome :)
Simple rig.
Mmmhm.
how you gonna leave Clint out waaaaaaaahhhhh
Probably because Clint isn't an official member, he's just on tour with them
Will York oh I know but stiiiill......its Clint!!! Lol. How can you not look at his gear haha
TIL Seether is still a thing.
Lol playing creed in the beginning
Ben Crowe would build them something nice.
wait these guys are south african?! who knew
no
My Gawd. No wonder they sound like generic. And those Hartke really with that budget??
he could of went with Lumilays for side dots, less expensive
