Hello Aubrey! I've been doing the same thing and it's so hard! I downsized my home so I had to downsize everything. Since the hubby said I couldn't get rid of him😅, I had to part with some of the hp stuff. Just like you, I first tackled the funko and any chibi style. Haha!!! Hubby saved! 😁I feel ya, I am a sucker for cutsie stuff (and my Disney room will be the place for that) but it otherwise doesn't fit into the house. We'll share more in a decorate with me, but I made more changes with funko (as I only let go of some at the time of this video). I'm so glad it gives hope! Watching it was a whole different experience and I really loved it. I think it’s ok as long as you don’t consider it as part of the HP franchise but something different. It has some amazing moments. I don’t think you should feel bad or feel the need to apologise for clearing out stuff as that is good for the soul I think. I do wish I had your space but nevermind I do love my shelves and they bring me great joy 😍😍😍

O dear, this hits home. You should have seen me the last few days, changing my mind constantly about my stuff. I´m going through a change, it looks like, and all of a sudden, I´m annoyed by my Harry Potter things. I put nearly everything away and felt reliefed and free for other things. And then I got some things back out. Then I decided I wanted only HP stuff around me after all. Then I got annoyed again. Today I put nearly everything away again. I don´t know what is happening to me, but suddenly, completely out of the blue, I find it weird to base all my surroundings and a good part of my identity on a book series. WTF? Well, I´m going through some changes in other parts of my life, too. I just feel like I´m ready to move on. I still like Harry Potter, but I don´t want to bury myself in it anymore. Weird, because being in the Wizarding World as much as possible is exactly what I have been wanting for several years.

Well Jim Kay is continuing, just not with him but the person he co-illustrated with. That one feels different to me since it’s the choice of the illustrator, so he can take care of himself. It is really disappointing, isn’t it? I hope Scholastic hears from people who are upset by this.
What you are doing is totally normal. I have done some decorate ring as well with my Harry Potter because they were impulse buys or once I had them for a while things changed and it was time to let them go. I have a Funko Movie Moment with Grindelwald and the Thestral which is hadn't really wanted, but the price was good and I wanted to take Grindelwald off and glue in a Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood, but Grindelwald is glued to the base so eventually I will pop him off and redo the scene. I think decorate ring or changing things is perfectly fine.
I love that you changed out the funko the way you saw fit. I love doing stuff like that. I always say, just because something's marketed a certain way or made a certain way, doesn't mean it doesn't have to stay in that box. We can take it out and play with it how we want. 😃
Actually I am not in love with the Dunno Pop Diagon Alley and Hogsmead buildings. They don't look like the buildings in the movie do eventually I want to get photos of them and repaint them. The Three Broom Sticks, Shrieking Shack and the bank are okay, but the others need some work to take them out of cartoony into more realistic.

Might be a difference of opinion but I absolutely loved cursed child. It read so quickly. I have a hard time reading Fandom, which I thought this would be like, but it wasn't. I also didn't want to read a play, I have a hard time focusing. After a few chapters, I didn't realize anymore that I was. It read like a normal book.
I’m very upset that the Mina Lima book editions are not being continued but hopefully another publisher will pick them up or they will self publish. I think it was probably some kind of issue where all the parties were unable to come to an agreement on what percent of the profits each would receive.
