Wow. Thank you for providing that without the usual chatter and explaining oversizes others often do. No yours was just perfect to watch and lurn by exactly that! Huts off star. Very good o. One love
I don't know 'bout the neck pickup, but Jimi certainly had his bridge pickup slant the opposite way- so the bass strings would sound treblier, and the violin strings- bassier.
This may not teach well but sure has the sound nailed. Look up the version from Marty or Mahalo .. makes it easier to follow (but gets the sound less accurate).
I'm glad you included a lot of the live fills he uses. The studio version has become unlistenable to me at this point as I have heard it far too many times, but in each live version he comes in with something fresh. His common phrases he uses at different spots of songs are great. During the verse I absolutely love the E-C#-F# riff. During some live versions he goes from E-A-F#. Really a nice turn-around to the main riff.
If you can't figure this out from Andy's lesson rottensparrow, then you're not good enough to be covering Hendrix. No tab can give you the 'feel' to these songs.
@I Am Weasel, interesting. I really prefer the non talking and rather getting strait to the point. How I was surching exactly for someone to just deliver exactly that and found it here makes me happy. One can't argue bout differences in tastes, isn't it? Hope you was still able to take somtn outa this. All the best and one Love.
I've never heard anyone (except 'THE VOODOO CHILE") play it so well!
I don't even want to learn these songs, I just LOVE watching andyfromproguitarshop play!
Love G&L guitars and this one in particular with the matching head colour
GOD bless Andy and Pro Guitar Shop. Pure Class. Play on Brothers and Sisters
Damn, the thumb wrap around. Andy is a god.
Thank you for playing the intro correctly!

Nice one! Been playing this live for years but there's some nice little changes I can pick-up from this.
Nice lesson... really nice Legacy!
Love it! More Jimi please.
Andy, this made me smile.
Great tone! great playing!
Excellent as always, Andy!!
Awesome job!
Them's some big ass frets on that Strat!
Thanks man! Hendrix all dayyyy
Is it just the video that makes it look like the fret wire on that Legacy is GINORMOUS?
I miss your lessons.
Very useful !
Yeaa!! Hendrix!!!!
Damn, that G&L is a fine looking guitar.
awesome tutor!
Hey Andy, I was going through your archives for EH pedals. I'm really looking in to an English Muff'n and I'd love you to do a video on it. Cheers!
I've yet to see or hear any guitarist other than Jimi play the sustaining intro into Foxy Lady correctly!
NICE!
Yes you can.
WOOOOOWWW!!
Are the G&L and the Les Paul you guys always use Andy's personal guitars? or just shop guitars?
This is fuckin awesome
You are definitely the best out there at selling pedals! You could prolly make a turd look like a bar of gold LOL
aah yes, as a result of his lefthandedness.. never really thought about how that would effect his tone!
Even little differences in pickup placing may affect the tone, it's all subtle, isn't it?
can anyone show me slow how to play when in goes to 4 fret? at the end,
is there with 3rd finger from 6th fret to 4th and ends on 6th fret 5th string?
It actually made my day that you're using a G&L
I don't know 'bout the neck pickup, but Jimi certainly had his bridge pickup slant the opposite way- so the bass strings would sound treblier, and the violin strings- bassier.
Are you guys still playing most things through a Fender DRRi?
Normal or Vibrato input of DRRI?
Sounds even better. ;)
where to get the backing track? (drums and bass)?
"I don't even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack"
The Rolling Stones - Jumpin' Jack Flash PLEASE!
I want Andy to do his own version of "100 Guitar Riffs in one take."
uma dica: coloque uma tab embaixo, ficará mais fácil aprender
This may not teach well but sure has the sound nailed. Look up the version from Marty or Mahalo .. makes it easier to follow (but gets the sound less accurate).
didn't jimi use the neck pickup on his strat?
you was playing with your tumb?
What model is your G-L ?

"You don't like it? Fine. You know Wayne if you're not careful you're gonna loose me."
I'd love to see a Dire Straits - Money For Nothing lesson. Need to know how I can get that sound!!
¡Hi! Can anyone help me? What lick is he playing on minute 3:00 I can't get it right. Best.-!
Hendrix. Yeah

What old lady?
I've never heard anyone say Hendrix is over rated, and I'm 53 years old.
he's overrated
Do you know where I can print the tab for this song?
Never mind, I should of been patient and watched the video. Lol
you lucky bastards have the best job in the world!!! Jamming JIMI...
You're the fucking man andy
If you can't figure this out from Andy's lesson rottensparrow, then you're not good enough to be covering Hendrix. No tab can give you the 'feel' to these songs.

"We are not worthy!"
ALGUM BRASILEIRO AQUI JÁ COMPROU NA PRO GUITAR SHOP???
You forgot the trill.
I like to play. *ding*
All I can think of listening to this is Garth from Wayne's World.
On my computer the only country in the drop down menu starting with "D" is Democratic republic of congo.
:)
look! a guitar pick
Saying JIMI is the best guitarist to ever live might be stretching it a bit far...but whoever is saying he is overrated,, probably can't write lick
Who says Hendrix is over rated?
jeg kan godt ;)
Why don't you just go talk to her.....talk to her......talk to her....
