Hi everyone, I’m Blair-a Massachusetts-born American who has been living abroad for the past 10 years, and I’m excited to finally launch this channel to share my journey in Serbia!
In this first video, I share a bit of my story: what brought me to Belgrade, Serbia, and what I look for in a city to make it feel like home.
For me, the perfect city:
1. Friendly people!
2. It has to be walkable and have good public transportation.
3. Easy to start a business as a foreigner and have a thriving business scene with room for new ideas.
4. Population size, not more than 10 million people.
5. Easy to make friends.
6. English friendly.
7. Different communities that I can be part of, religious, professional, and creative.
Belgrade checks all those boxes, and I’ve found it to be an incredible place to live, build a business, and make lasting friendships.
Here’s what you can expect from my channel:
1️⃣ Weekly sit-downs on moving to Serbia and expat life here in Belgrade.
2️⃣ A look at different parts of the city-the best spots, hidden gems, and daily life in Serbia’s capital.
3️⃣ Interviews with my foreign and Serbian friends, business partners, and community leaders who bring Belgrade to life in unique ways.

Belgrade is a great city but cold. If it was warm like Greece, I would definitely live there.
@@KaanBurak2006 The summer months in Belgrade are quite hot! Winter is not too cold, only in January, plus there isn't a lot of snow.
In the summer it gets over 40 degrees Celsius, it is unfortunately very hot and getting worse :/
