Gunther Von Hagens started it because he made the method of preserving the bodies, it's called plastination. His one is called Body Worlds so not only are the company showed in this clip doing it but he also does it. He's also said he'd like to be preserved outside the exhibit with his arms outstretched beckoning people inside. I respect anatomists in terms of learning through dissection but the way he preserves people is macabre at best. He also dissected several people to a live audience on a show for Channel 4 in the UK. If you want someone who deals with education in these topics in a less macabre way I'd highly recommend Sue Black's books "All That Remains" and "Written In Bone".
went to this irl, was one of the most disturbing things ive ever witnessed
3:30 look how they treat animals, that's you
100% pure evil

I saw this as a kid and was equally repulsed.
