Just imagine naming a Pachikuru "Kurupachi", making it turn upside-down. Or a move that switches the two ends around, giving a second chance at a success using Wager.
2nd ability could be an altered Moody that either buffs or nerfs your stats equally. Example: 1st turn you get extra attack, 2nd turn you get extra sp.def, 3rd turn you get less speed. All the same amount, so you can't just stall to become an unstoppable force. . Also, imo, it's stats should have a lot of variety, to fit the theme of randomness. You could get one tanky speedy boy with not a lot of attack or a slow special sweeper.
Honestly, the entire Pachikuru portion, I was thinking about how casinos never have flat odds; there's a reason "the House always wins." Giving Pachikuru some kind of mechanic where if it harms itself using Wager, it guarantees a 'big payout' the next turn, a little like using Stone Edge and Stomping Tantrum on the same moveset. If you land Stone Edge, brilliant, you've dished out one of the best Rock moves in the game. If you missed, well... Stomping Tantrum's souped up now. House wins.
Perhaps Pachikuru could have another signature move called "Double Down" that only works after using Wager, undoing the previous move (Healing the affected Pokemon of status and health, as well as reverting previous stat changes) and using it again, but has a slightly higher chance to hit the opponent, all the while doubling damage done (after damage calculations from Randomize), doubling stat changes, and inflicting another Pokemon on the field with a status effect. Of course, it will only work if Pachikuru or the opponent it attacked still haven't been KO'd yet, as you can't use Double Down with your own Pachikuru if it faints, nor would you likely want to revive your opponent's Pokemon.
I noticed there was a common theme shared with some of the Lockemon in this video, which the theme is the 7 deadly sins. With Xxubis being Lust, Bombfullo being wrath, and Pachikuru being greed. Perhaps in a future video we will get more Lockemon with a connection to the 4 other sins.

Pike is a great name. It's a type of Polearm like Lance. Also, I immediately fell in love with Rubi. Great design that makes me think of both Arianna as well as Silver (my favorite rival). Also, adore the way she says Rubi Rocket.
I’m so invested in this story, I can’t wait till we see more of the characters in this new world, Giovanni and Silver are still around and working together no less, we see Rubi who’s their descendant and Pike who’s Lance’s descendant. I actually thought he was Lance when I 1st saw him, now an old drunkard due to failing to cause the cataclysm, but still, it makes you wonder if there’s any other characters who are still around in this era and what they’re up to. We also got our 1st look outside of Neo-Kanto City with the now dried-up Lake of Rage, maybe we’ll see other familiar locations now destroyed or abandoned.
I’d love to see a regional variant or evolution of Noctowl as like this crazy cyborg evil owl based on the amount of evil organizations, especially in the cyberpunk genre, that use an owl as their symbol, and also having a cyber bird is a huge staple in cyberpunk.
Imagine if it's head functioned as a camera or radar dish! Since there are owls which have heads that function similarly to those dishes to allow them to hear better.
You say cyborg owl and my brain immediately goes to Clockwork from the Sly Cooper series. Maybe have it be Flying/Dark with the Steelworker ability. Perhaps a signature move, Burglarize, which is a stronger version of Thief.
I can't help but wonder if Razpurt's type combination could possibly also be an allusion to asbestos. At one point it was widely used as a building material because it's highly resistant to fire, but the downside was that it caused a lot of health issues to those who were exposed to it due to the fact it's also a carcinogen. Also, another fitting design detail about Pachikuru that wasn't mentioned is that the decorative discs it carries around are not only just a reference to slot machines, but they also resemble a stack of poker chips.

It's based on the gender of the first member of your party that isn't genderless, made to attract them (masculine for female, feminine for male). 3. Based on the gender of the player character, depending on if the story will allow that. 4. Based on the nature of the pokemon
Those succubus designs are my favorite ones you've put out and not for horny reasons, but because they fit their theme perfectly and I love both versions of it. Great work man
i'd love it if there was an item like loaded dice that increases the chances of giveing the users bad status effects so you have to almost sneak it onto one to make it easier to fight.
Idea: this, but due to the nature of the item, trainers have a 33% chance to give no money when defeated(if they know to give double money when you have amulet coin/luck incense, they can know if you have loaded dice)
This series being monthly pains me in the best way possible. On one hand it’s so high quality that it obviously takes time, but I also desperately want to see where the story goes. Take your time though, I can’t wait to see how this escalates.
After a while I realised that this mad motherfucker went with the more literal name origin of succubus and incubus: they were originally describing whether the demon was a top or bottom, rather than their sex. And I’m all here for it.
It has apparently been longer than I thought since I last actively watched Lockstin (my god this year has gone by fast). So coming into this series randomly, I can honestly say, I'd gladly catch both versions of Xxubis, and this series is very high quality.
The fact that lockstin has made geovonni regret something and is trying to fix the world as some odd atomemt for his sins is really interesting I wonder if this has to do with Team Flare or someone else.

I would ABSOLUTELY use the buff Xxubis on my team, I get it's supposed to be a sexual pokémon and I actually do appreciate the amount of thought put into it, because ngl incubi and succubi are very interesting to me from a mythos perspective, but also it's just a VERY cool design in terms of pokémon
@Surge Co. Channel I agree! It'd be fun, or at least interesting, to have or battle against a completely luck-based Pokemon team. Metronome is already one of my favorite moves due to its gimmick, so a single Pokemon or entire team based solely around luck and chance is intriguing.
Another thing I like about Xxubus and how it's technically classified as Genderless, X is sometimes used as the letter for third gender options, be it specifically Genderless or not!
Purreshiss is really cool! I have had some thoughts of my own around a normal/psychic meow that line but it kinda went the casino route since the meow thing variant was tuxedo cat colored (and with the evolution being named purrdicsian dumb i know). But basing it off of actual mythology along with vibes is awesome! You never cease to impress
I love the Neon Genesis/Ghetsis storyline so far, because hot damn is it amazing! Also ngl when I saw thr Xxubus' in the thumbnail my brain went "caveman ooga booga" mode lol I also love the Bombfullo and Purreshiss evos as well!
Pachikuru with loaded dice from scarlet and violet will be devastating! Maybe they can have some moves like double slap that are already luck based and are not affected by randomize. I also imagine them having super powerful moves like psychic and zen headbutt earlier since it will only be half effective half of the time.
It felt very obvious that Silver was the grandfather of Rubi And I also think that Lance is the grandfather of Pike, or his greatgrandfather (I don't really remember how many years have passed) Just their names now that I think about it Lance Pike
It's supposed to be 100 years after Red & Blue, which raises the question of how Silver seems middle aged at best and without any cybernetic enhancements.
This is really well done and interesting, can't wait to see what shall unfold, especially with Giovanni, he's always up to something, even if he's playing good guy now there must be some ulterior motive. Also jeez where did Lance go wrong, Pike looks like him, similar names, they must be related, but... I don't know, guessing being in a former champions shadow all his life did this? Poor guy. Also strange... is that not Giovanni? Why would Silver 1 be working for him, and 2 to call him boss, his father, not saying he'd call him father, but to address the one that abandoned him and he refused to be like, to just following him... what's up, something fishy is going on here.
So, what would determine which form of Xxubis it is that a given Zzimp would evolve into? Is it stat based, like with Tyrouge? Is it completely random, like with Wurmple? Is it based on holding a certain item?
I think it could work in a quite unique way. Zzimp would evovle into a more feminine looking Xxubis if there are more Male Pokemon on the team, while it will try to evovle into the more masculine looking evo if there are more Female Pokemon. If there aren't any other pokémon or that the number of male and female pokemon on the party are the same, it will just not evolve. Also, I would like for them to be like Meowstic, in the way that they have the same stats, same Dex number but have unique Entry and share 2 Abillities but have a different hidden abillity
I like how this series is both narrative- like Toby's Pokemon Tempest but also goes deep into explaining the Pokemon. I never finished Tempest because I preferred learning about the deep lore in the Kaskade series. This is the best of both worlds. Also if Zzimp is genderless, what determines its evolution. I'm thinking of doing is based on natues and the...stereotypes that would lead one to associate each personality type with certain sexual preferences, based on how succubus means to lie under and incubus means to lie ontop

Not gonna lie, i do love the two designs of Xxubis. Really interesting take of a Succubus and Incubus
After a while I realised that this mad motherfucker went with the more literal name origin of succubus and incubus: they were originally describing whether the demon was a top or bottom, rather than their sex. And I’m all here for it.

It has apparently been longer than I thought since I last actively watched Lockstin (my god this year has gone by fast). So coming into this series randomly, I can honestly say, I'd gladly catch both versions of Xxubis, and this series is very high quality.

At first I thought Xxubis would be my favorite coming out of this, but the creativity behind Pachikuru is just amazing! Def one of my top 10 fan Pokémon. Keep up the great work

I would ABSOLUTELY use the buff Xxubis on my team, I get it's supposed to be a sexual pokémon and I actually do appreciate the amount of thought put into it, because ngl incubi and succubi are very interesting to me from a mythos perspective, but also it's just a VERY cool design in terms of pokémon

@Surge Co. Channel I agree! It'd be fun, or at least interesting, to have or battle against a completely luck-based Pokemon team. Metronome is already one of my favorite moves due to its gimmick, so a single Pokemon or entire team based solely around luck and chance is intriguing.
Another thing I like about Xxubus and how it's technically classified as Genderless, X is sometimes used as the letter for third gender options, be it specifically Genderless or not!

Purreshiss is really cool! I have had some thoughts of my own around a normal/psychic meow that line but it kinda went the casino route since the meow thing variant was tuxedo cat colored (and with the evolution being named purrdicsian dumb i know). But basing it off of actual mythology along with vibes is awesome! You never cease to impress
I love the Neon Genesis/Ghetsis storyline so far, because hot damn is it amazing! Also ngl when I saw thr Xxubus' in the thumbnail my brain went "caveman ooga booga" mode lol I also love the Bombfullo and Purreshiss evos as well!
Pachikuru with loaded dice from scarlet and violet will be devastating! Maybe they can have some moves like double slap that are already luck based and are not affected by randomize. I also imagine them having super powerful moves like psychic and zen headbutt earlier since it will only be half effective half of the time.

This is really well done and interesting, can't wait to see what shall unfold, especially with Giovanni, he's always up to something, even if he's playing good guy now there must be some ulterior motive. Also jeez where did Lance go wrong, Pike looks like him, similar names, they must be related, but... I don't know, guessing being in a former champions shadow all his life did this? Poor guy. Also strange... is that not Giovanni? Why would Silver 1 be working for him, and 2 to call him boss, his father, not saying he'd call him father, but to address the one that abandoned him and he refused to be like, to just following him... what's up, something fishy is going on here.
So, what would determine which form of Xxubis it is that a given Zzimp would evolve into? Is it stat based, like with Tyrouge? Is it completely random, like with Wurmple? Is it based on holding a certain item?
I think it could work in a quite unique way. Zzimp would evovle into a more feminine looking Xxubis if there are more Male Pokemon on the team, while it will try to evovle into the more masculine looking evo if there are more Female Pokemon. If there aren't any other pokémon or that the number of male and female pokemon on the party are the same, it will just not evolve.
Also, I would like for them to be like Meowstic, in the way that they have the same stats, same Dex number but have unique Entry and share 2 Abillities but have a different hidden abillity
Maybe its nature? We haven’t seen that one yet.
I like the idea of it evolving based on stats. That, or it can be based on some obscure id number like with wurmple and silcoon/cascoon

I like how this series is both narrative- like Toby's Pokemon Tempest but also goes deep into explaining the Pokemon. I never finished Tempest because I preferred learning about the deep lore in the Kaskade series. This is the best of both worlds.
Also if Zzimp is genderless, what determines its evolution. I'm thinking of doing is based on natues and the...stereotypes that would lead one to associate each personality type with certain sexual preferences, based on how succubus means to lie under and incubus means to lie ontop

Lockstin already covered the incubus/succubus being the same demon. But I recently saw a tumblr post saying that succubus & incubus come from the Latin words succubara (to lie under) & incubara (to lie on) so which one they are is dictated my their… *ahem* preferred position.

Fun fact: Incubi & Succubi arguably aren't explicitly male or female, but tops & bottoms respectively. Incubus comes from the latin phrase "Incubare" meaning to lie on, while succubus comes from "succubare", meaning to lie under. So really, female incubuses are dominatrixes while male succubuses are femboys.
And for those wondering, a switch would be a "concubus", coming from "concubare" meaning to lie beside.

I just love how completely unbalanced Pachikuru is! It's the kind of thing you would absolutely HATE using in a game, but praise for the sheer audacity of it being a thing.
That's a really neat take on a succubus/incubus Pokemon, being genderless but can take the form of whatever the target is infatuated by.

Very clever how you managed to put Pokemon inspired by ZZZ and XXX in the same evolution line. I never thought those two would ever correlate in any way, but I guess I was wrong.
Kinda risky gamble, but it was worth, the succubus/incubus was really cool, and I believe that the pokemon company would make a succubus/incubus pokemon if it wasn't explicit, was a secondary inspiration

Here’s another neat thing about Xxubis’s name, whether intentional or not. In English, the letter X often is used as a placeholder for an unknown or arbitrary letter or word, particularly when there are multiple options that are interchangeable with each other. Often in reference to X being used for unknown numbers in math problems. This is also the case on occasion with non-English languages that have rigidly-defined gendered words.
So, with Xxubis’s form being arbitrary, it can be either a succubus or an incubus; the prefix is unknown at first glance. So “Xxubis” serves as a middle ground, with the “x”s serving as a placeholder for both possibilities.
