I don’t know what it is about goat gardeners but I find it so peaceful and interesting . They’re just doing their thing but in these cases it’s so helpful to the landowner, win win !! Thank you for posting - liked ! 👍🏴
The goats are like an army of gardeners meticulously manicuring the paddock every day. After the goats finish, the area looks like a public park. They do such a good job.
Humdillah. It all depends on context and land management. Check out greening the desert projects in Jordan. And al baydha projects in Saudi. Where do you live?
@@TheogRahoomie "5 or 6 goats could be sustained on 1 acre" Like, just left on the same acre of land for the entire year, without being moved? Depends on rain rate I guess.

There are producers who don’t use shelter, we tried it without shelter but my opinion is you need a shelter to use sparingly for the rains in the 32-45 degree zone.
My brother has goats but thier in a barn when in my opinion they should be outside eating weeds . He's a flipping idiot . Wasting money on feed when he could have them outside . That's my rant . I am in ohio

Sheep are grazers, goats are browsers...

I'm adding this to my classroom ASMR. Win!!!!
My grandfather when he bought land earlier used goats to do this to his overgrown land. This was way before I was born and I am 68.
They are like vegetarian piranhas
Ace goats, I even saw a couple of sheep with them ha ha, cool 🐏🐑
Awesome channel

How many truck loads did it take to get all those goats there?
How many truck loads did it take to get the shit out
Wonder if these goats would eat up on my sage brush
How many days before you come back to the same paddock?
You usually want to give it 30-60 days
@@OBRfarm Depending on the precipitation I'd guess.

I'm curious as to how much electric fencing was used with this herd?
When we got them 100% but they were not trained to it before purchase.

Can someone help please i was told that i can sustain 40 goats on one acre land for a year. After watching this vlog i don't think that's possible 🙆
You can’t.
@@TheogRahoomie do you speak from experience if I may ask
My father in law raised goats for years. He says 5 or 6 goats could be sustained on 1 acre

I want a goat feature in my garden.......
Do you not tag?
Are the goats used for milk?
3RD EYE those are Boer goats, primarily used for meat.they are like little football players, compared to a dairy goat. Ive had both in my herd.
What can't goats eat ?
I have noticed (or should I say not noticed) that you don't have a shelter out there for them. Aren't goats in particular skittish of weather?

@@369ranch So as long as it is warm, small trees are good enough? I am looking to do the same on my place here in Arkansas.
@@369ranch I was also wondering what would happen with 5-6 foot pine trees. Is that bad for them or will they eat them at all?
How do you handle the bucks? Do they run with the herd?
They tell me here in Mexico that the buck doesn't let inferiors touch his harem. I just bought a beutiful young buck. His dad is homungerous.
If there get to be a few too many Goats, No problem, they make EXCELLENT BBQ or goat curry after they soak in brine.
Music video?
How long before they go back on the first paddock? How much acreage do you have them on total?
We like at least 45 days rest on a paddock.
How many goats in that paddock?
joel edwards probably 275 at that point
There is a problem with one goat’s leg
