    I unfortunately am surrounded by men, so thank you for posting this! Even my doctor is a man....As you said, different journeys for each of us, but it's helpful to hear any women's journey with this. I am six months behind you...currently day 13. I had a full, so no ovaries or anything (I actually only had one left - the other was removed 6 years ago with a borderline tumor the size of a baseball). My pathology came back pretty quickly, so I feel fortunate that I am able to start hormone (only estrogen) already. I think so far the worst was the gas! No one prepared me for that!! Also, had an issue with some nerve I've never heard of nor litterly can remember the name of (it's attached to the diaphragm?) spasming and causing major shoulder pain when I laid down. I feel much more like myself now already. Keep reminding myself to slow down and to rest! My period app reminded me last night that my period starts in 3 days..So happy to not go through it!! I feel like it's going to be strange that it no longer will be a thing. It was a miserable experience and made it to where I only had a few good days out of every month (I had extreme PMDD, endometritis and strange borderline tumors that kept appearing, and leg swelling that they think was part of the PMDD, but were never really sure). I am done totally oversharing now! Thanks again for the video!

      Thank you so much for sharing!! It sounds like you've had a crazy journey! That first month is so weird because I was like feeling so good compared to pre surgery and just wanted to be up and moving and had to keep reminding myself to rest too but then eventually I got hit with extreme fatigue had had to rest lol and that gas pain is no joke! It made my ribs hurt sooo bad and I don't think it fully went away til almost a month for me. Wishing you a smooth recovery and lots of relief 💜💜💜

      I think the nerve you’re referring to is the phrenic nerve. That’s aggravated by the gasses used for anesthesia. You can either have pain near your diaphragm or in your shoulder. That’s normal for most surgeries when you’re put fully under and not just sedated.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I am just 3 weeks out with my hysterectomy. The fatigue is intense, but I hope to improve as time goes by.

      That first wave of fatigue was definitely the worst for me. I still got hit with it as time went on but not as intense as that first time a a couple weeks into recovery. Thank you for watching and I hope your recovery is going well! The first couple months were rough for me and recovery was slower than I had expected/ hoped it would be but with time I continue to see improvement. Wishing you the best on your recovery journey 💜

    I like these updates very much. We have had a similar diagnosis. I'm curious tho at month 4 is where I am now w recovery and I am finding pressure and swelling inside and lower abdominal swelling when I sit for prolonged amount of time. It's been a bit intense sitting for desk job 8-9 hours even w breaks....I feel like I'm back to month 2 w recovery internally. Any advice? Did you find that ice or which medicine did you find helpful.

      I'm glad you like them! I can imagine that gets pretty intense... I found that a heating pad and sitting in a reclined position helped me a lot but I didn't experience that specifically. It seems your organs might be a bit upset about getting scrunched up in the sitting position so maybe in your time not working it might be helpful to lay down/ recline to give them relief. I hope you find something that works for you 💜

    If your still having nausea and vomiting you should ask your doctor for Zolfran I suffer from Cycle Vomiting Syndrome when I have an attack it helps me a lot you should take at least 8 milligrams every 4-6 hours up to 32 to 64 milligrams per 24 hours.

    Hi There. Did you, or anyone else, experience indigestion months after hysterectomy? 🤔

    • @morrigansmagikalmakings
      @morrigansmagikalmakings  Год назад

      I definitely had indigestion and trouble eating the first couple months but it slowly got better. I had a lot of digestive issues before surgery too though
