    Hey Thanks for video. I just bought a 2019 Tundra Crewmax Limited. It came with a deck rail system. The cleats were super easy to install!

    Had a Tacoma for 10 years and used them a lot,even for putting a cargo net over trash when riding to the dump.Both a used Tundra ,one with the rails but no cleats ,found a set of 4 on eBay new for $45.

    Just like Mike Hodgens, I keep my back headrests up. The view doesn't really matter since I put 5% tint on the back and rear side windows so it comes out to 0% on a tint meter. That pretty much makes it hard to see out the back at night, but if someone has HID lights with a lot of glare in back of me, it doesn't bother me at all. During the day, it's perfect, not pitch black, but I can easily see outside.

    I have a 2021 SR5 that came with the deck rail system. The dealership gave me 4 of the cleats. I put a Retrax XR Pro cover on and it fits just fine over the cleats with one caveat: you won’t be able to lock in the Retrax at any point on the rail where there is a cleat. My current solution to that is to put the two cleats on either side next to each other in the middle of the rail. So far I tend to lock the Retrax on fully open or fully closed position anyway.

    I bought 2 extra cleats off ebay for $40 for the pair so I have 2 on each rail. A few ratch straps under the back seat and I am ready for any hauling.

    The system is $214 on Amazon, but the cleats are $42 each. I don't know what the cost is at the dealer. My truck came with the system, and love it. I did see some less expensive cleats, but they look like black plastic.

    I've noticed that too! You always keep the rear headrests tilted down. Always wondered why. LOL

    This is off topic of the video, but can you tell me does the 2017 5.7l have direct injection? I had a hard time finding a clear answer. Thanks

    I had the deck rail system with the sliding cleats factory installed / came with , my 2006 Tacoma. But I've never had one on a Tundra! It's like they don't come WITH Tundras like they do on Tacomas? Strange? By the way, it just hit me: you don't have your Trifecta 2.0 Extang any longer? You LOVED your Extang Trifecta 2.0??

    I was trying to install mine, but I have the Bakflip G2 tonneau cover in place, and I can't seem to get the cleats to pop into the track. Frustrating....

      +Anthony Mcgovern i believe it is standard on the upper trims

    • @doogle-gf3fi
      @doogle-gf3fi 6 лет назад

      Well, you've probably checked yours by now. For anyone else, utility rails are standard on the '17 Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition and TRD Pro models. Tundra brochure isn't clear if the cleats are std. My 1794 came w/rails and cleats. The Rugged Liner on TD34's looks great!

      MrNinjav10 Hey! I just picked up my 2018 last Friday. Brand new, off the lot. End of the year sale. And have been shopping for some time. Now looking at extras . Missing some key extras. Step rails, tonno cover and bed insert.This page with all the comments are a year old. Not sure how to update. Your thoughts?
