Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office Alleged Aggravated Assault

On December 15, 2021, BCSO South units responded to 1904 Marston Sw in reference to an alleged assault by a family member who was trying to kick in the victim's door while armed with a knife. The suspect gained entry to the victim's location and when he barricaded himself the suspect began stabbing into the door. Units arrived and secured a perimeter after rescuing the victim. The victim articulated Agg. Assault with a Knife. The suspect attempted to escape and conceal herself in an adjacent apartment but was detained after hours of PA/perimeter without incident.
Ultimately, the victim declined to press charges and no arrest was made. The suspect in this incident was facing felony-level charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Damage to Property, and Interference with Communication.
