An essential series of programmes for any fx owner. I use them for all my tuning and modification work. BUT ,,,,, (I have a KING, and 3 Wildcats.) All I do to clean my barrels is use a rod with the relevant size pad and cleaning oil specified for pcp's. 6 years on, never an issue. Never removed a barrel/liner to do so. I do think these cleaning programmes are over complicated.
WOW. I just got a Panthera Hunter Compact .22 and I am GLAD that I watched this but, for me seems like a lot of trouble to remove liner. And I have to drain all air in my 480 bottle? I physically cannot remove it, turn it, unscrew it under pressure. How often do ur ecomment cleaning? I shoot 18.13 JSB. SO if I use a "patch worm" type cleaning and don'e make the patch too big and soak a noot-too-big patch with Balistol = not good? I usually do one of those and then dry patches after that until the patch is clean.
Many thanks for this video, I own a Dreamline an a crown mkII, I thought that shooting cleaning-pellets (from VFG for example) would be sufficient, did I misunderstand?
That is good for a quick clean but I am not a big fan of it as it doesn’t clean as good. Also if you use balistol or something on the cleaning pellets you might also get solvent in the valving .
So, when I remove the liner, Is the barrel indexing getting worse? What do you do to avoid corrupting the barrel indexing? And Also, Is barrel indexing important as somebody says on the RUclips. Thanks
According to their Web page, it should be in for 600 and 700. Hope my 700 have it. I didn't disassembled it yet. The front disc is quite hard to be removed. I hate these O-rings.
Hi friend what's the name of piece that I use to clean my air gun ? would you don't mind to tell me...and where I can buy that..Thank you...see you friend..!
Do you think the orientation of the liner is important when you replace it after cleaning? In other words, do you think we need to index it before removing the liner to clean?
@@Airbuks anytime I watched all ur FX videos and if it wasn’t for you making my life simple I would’ve learned how to do it all by myself much Mahalo🤙🙏
I cant pull out my liner when i remove the disc and nut on the barrel end. Have the carbon fiber sleeve installed. Any idea how i can get the liner out without damaging it?
Great video! By the way, I think the first PCP rifle with a plenum around the barrel is the Altaros M 24. And one more thing. Apart from the usual tests at 50 and 100 m/y, do you also plan tests at longer distances, because many of us are very interested in groups at 200+ m/y. So, real groups on steel or paper, not cans and things like that. Thanks in advance.
Thx for that info 👍 I am planning a few range videos out to distance but I am trying to document as I go along and filming/editing slows down the process 😉 but it should not be to long anymore
Just ordered a 500mm Panthera. So if I want to remove the rubber bands on the barrel liner and use a CF sleeve, can I use the CF sleeve I used for my impact liner? So long as it is the correct size?
Thanks! Expecting my Panthera in a couple of weeks. First activities with a new airgun: inspection, hardware check and barrel cleaning! The FX website says that there is a carbon sleeve included but I noticed O-rings on the liner, did you get a sleeve? Do you mark the liner to be able to reinstall it in the same orientation or do you not worry about barrel indexing? Looking forward to more videos on the Panthera! Cheers!
I tried to remove my barrel and forgot to take the air tank off before, as i removed it, all the air pressure shot out and dropped to 0. An O ring popped out from somewhere any idea where from and what could be damaged from this
I am interested in acquiring a Panthera rifle with a caliber of 5.5 mm for the purpose of conducting a study on the high-speed impact resistance of polymeric materials. I intend to utilize a metallic cylinder with a diameter of 3.6 mm as the projectile. To facilitate this, the utilization of a 5.5 mm sabot is necessary. To fabricate an appropriate sabot, certain specifications regarding the barrel, particularly the Land and Groove dimensions, are required. Could someone provide me with this information? Thank you in advance.
Salut je ne sais si tu parle français ou anglais dans le doute je fais l'anglais... merci pour tes supers vidéos ! Hello possible to replace the original liner (heavy) by a stxs superior for pellets ? Thanks for your good videos !
@@Airbuks ok have you try it ? If you have a 700mm panthera you put a liner stx of a 700mm impact for example ? Thanks a lot for your videos and your reactivity
you are talking about removing a barrel with danger. in fact it's removing a barrel system or barrel housing. The barrel (liner) is easaly taken out under pressure.
Just received my panthera today and am having difficulty removing the shroud. When i try to remove it seems i am opening the plenum. It seems the shroud may have been over tightened at the factory. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
Is there anything at the muzzle end that needs to be removed to facilitate shroud removal? Also is it possible that the shroud would be easier to remove if the airgun was pressurized (currently mine is has no pressure)?
@@johnmartschuk4840 no it should unscrew without removing anything, with the system under pressure you it can help but as mentioned before with the removal of the 6 screw you can take the rail off and use 2 hands to unscrew
Unfortunately, even after taking off the m-lok/arca rail so that i can use two hands i cannot remove the shroud. Whenever i try to remove the shroud, part 10 (see schematic F10636) starts to come out of the plenum and the rib on part 10 is not large enough for me to grip it sufficiently to apply more force to hold it in place while i try to unscrew the shroud. I find it weird that the shroud unscrews from part 10 by twisting in the same direction as part 10 unscrews from the plenum. I suppose everything would be fine if someone at the factory hadn't over tightened or cross threaded the shroud onto part 10 during assembly. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
The artemis m30s barrel ran through the air "reservoir" and although regulated the regulator and plenum were in the block so the reservoir was subject to pressure fluctuations not sure if this affected it in a negative way but on the FX panthera this isn't the case The FX panthera is the first "plenum" around the barrel airgun and the pressure actually remains constant so although technically not the first airgun barrel to run through a pressure vessel (that was the m30) it definitely is the first to have a plenum around the barrel 👌 atb
Why not just use plastic string so you dont have to take the barrel off. In reality you dont need to clean airgun barrels anyway Loosing you zero every time you clean.
You can do that if you want offcours, but I am not o big fan off this as solvent can run down the transferport and you can damage the breech oring if the swap it forced true . You anyway don’t need to clean a Fx barrel regularly and if so the zero is just a few clicks off max if you put the liner back in the same rotation

I got my Panthera today too. Im a little wondering that you still had the orings over the liner. I thought cf sleeve is standard on the 600 and 700?

You have o-rings on your liner which means that the carbon sleeve is missing. The 600 and 700 should come with a carbon sleeve
How do u remove the spacer at the front end
The first time I putter a cloth around it and was able to undo it by hand , or take a 10mm wrench and undo the barrel nut
Thank you

No carbon fiber sleeve in the gun from new??! Might as well add that while liner is out!
Fx website says it comes with cf sleeve
No indeed 🤔 must be a error . I have contacted them for clarification
I have some clarification. All Panthera come with a CF sleeve . Mine was for some reason assembled without
Most pantheras were shipped without a sleeve. They are handing them out now for free. But unfortunately it's sold out everywhere
As I understand, the Panthera HAS or DOESN'T have a CF sleeve...depending on the barrel length and caliber.
Correct
