Dean loved Rory and Rory broke his heart. Dean never recovered from that break up and unfortunately got married while he still loved Rory. Rory goes from partner to partner cheating on all of them. Dean thought Rory was cheating on him and so he called and called, I get it. He just loved her. She cheated and needed to leave him alone.
He's very over hated. I love him

ok so unpopular opinion... i dont dislike dean as such.. i just think he was put in a bad situation where he felt insecure and acted out.. does not justify it but i understand it.. later in season 4 what happens.. thats dosent have any redemption whatsoever but certain people should have warned him against things (im not going to go into details) and he should have kept his head. what he did was extremely wrong. what rory did was also wrong and well.. youll see...
I don’t know, I forgot about these first scenes! She right he kissed her out of no where and low key stalked her. She never really was THAT into him or good match with him. He was just the first to show interest, and hes cute and relatively good person, so of course she would go for it! But yeah then there’s fact she wasn’t ready to say I love you, dean was not bad but he’s not the “one” they were just high school sweethearts and that’s it. And when she went back to him later it was more out of nostalgia and grief and desire than actual love-she did him wrong. So many times actually which is great clue to fact they’re not meant to be!

I think the reason lorelai likes Dean, is because he reminds her of Christopher. I also think that the reason lorelai doesn’t like Jess, is because he reminds him of her. Jess and lorelai are like the same people.

Now that you’ve watched the show once I think it would be fun if you continued to react there’s so much in each episode you miss and as I’ve rewatched it it’s changed my perspective on both of the romance plots and also made me hate April so much more with each rewatch 🙄 but I liked her in the Netflix remake 🤣
