Guys undevided india was more progressive and tolerant, when division happend bcoz of reason of division, who believed in tht division shifted to that part ..with the existing people who couldn't migrate...thts why the disparity
No... those who believed in division did not shift. Those who were nearby and had to shift because of riots shifted. Supporting an idea and shifting are 2 different things. Without any jobs, house, relative, common language, means of contact like phones or transport - people dont just get up and leave. Similarly those who didnt believe in division were also stuck in a hyper fanatic nation. Many khilafati leaders also stayed on because they had so much property and prospect in India.
We in India have so many positive sides to our lives -- there are opportunities to grow, there is legit money to earn and means to visit the length and breadth of the country. Amidst all this, what perhaps we miss is our children's disinterest in playing out and in participating in songs, poetry and drama. These things are needed to draw the children out. Another thing is a decline in respect for elders and teachers. In my primary and pre-primary school days (around the time when this documentary was made), we would sit on jute mats and would memorize 'paharas' (tables) by shouting our lungs out, we'd write on 'takhti' (wooden board) with black ink to improve our writing. The mere mention of the teacher would kind of wake us up from deep sleep. And Coca Cola was a gift for doing well in exams. Even today, if i happen to meet my teachers, I would touch her/his feet and would not even dare to look him in the eye. That's what is missing today. Regards
The base of Pakistani creation is the Two nation theory, which is misinterpreted in "correct" way. that tells Muslims can not leave with Hindus. To prove this, hatred towards Hindu was a must policy. Pakistani govt wasted their very important decades to teach its youth such hatred. only 5 percent could find their way to be educated in true sense. And because of those 95 percent, you can see "Gusthakhe rasool ki ek hi saza, sir tan se juda" Or "Labaik" to RasoolAllah in present days.

Both of you have done a good job of giving your reactions unequivocally. So humility exists in people today also. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions( analysis).
I have recently watched some episode of your reactions - I like how Moazzam gives space to Iman and vice versa. Your relationship shows mutual respect as a couple so congratulations on that! Iman you are right about women empowerment in India. Even while living in USA I feel Indian women are truly empowered. Yes we have some traditions that signal some constraints on women but most of the time these are not hindrance in women progressing. The most important part about Indian culture is (even when compared to west) society truly accepts women leaders, be it corporate, social or political areas. Iman I would really like all the Pakistani women to rise in the corporate and political world - I feel they can navigate their country better then men. It is so great to see Moazzam as an open minded person, you need more men like him in your country. Best regards and love, Seema (USA)
