Oh god what is this hate you guys have for awadhi... tulsidas ji was greatest bhakt of lord rama so he translated the ramayana in awadhi because people was not able to read sanskrit... it is tulsidas ji ramcharitmanas because of that we are still sanatani otherwise in mugal Era Hindus did not have any way to stay connected to their roots bcz sanskrit was vanished by mugals...
And yes ramcharitmanas means ram ke charitra ka varnana or darshan which is greatest thing because in Hinduism ram ji sa charitra form karne ki koshish karna hi hum humans ka main goal Hona chahiye..

India was never a unilingual nation and it shouldn't be .I don't want to discuss hindi debate here but we should accept that hindi and english domination are also the reasons for this decline .

We speak hindi english awadhi bhojpuri at our home. Husband is from eastern UP, I'm from Awadh region, both got our education in English. So our child is blend of all. Multilingual.
I live in United States for 45years and Rae bareli up is my ancestral village I visit often. Even awadhi every 25 miles has variations.

Some mistakes in the video-That second Caribbean lady is speaking Bhojpuri not Awadhi.
That first song Kauno Thagwa nagariya lootal is Bhojpuri Nirgun not Awadhi from any angle. And at last of the video he talked in Bhojpuri not Awadhi. Kabir was a Bhojpuri poet and wrote in two languages, Bhojpuri and Sadhukkadi(a mixture of Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Brajbhasha, Punjabi and Marwari). Awadhi, Bhojpuri and Brajbhasa have a very rich literature. Bhojpuri have completely different roots from North Indian languages and is a sister language of Bengali, Assamese and Odia but forcefully included under Hindi in the census. BHOJPURI should be recognized soon.

I am from jaunpur we spoke theth which is mix of two languages (bhojpuri + awadhi) Teth is majorily influenced by awadhi than bhojpuri

This will be the actual translation in awadhi. This video is made by non awadhi speaker so he messed up bhojpuri and awadhi.

I am from UP and loved to know about my native Awadhi language.
Urdu was created by converted muslims from delhi and UP area. They tried to mix central asian turkish, persian and arabic with local dialects and removed all indeginous sanskrit words. The language script they copied from arabic. Also this newly formed hybrid language does not have any grammar. Converted muslims of non hindi/urdu provinces of india also regarded urdu as their mother tongue instead of their original language(odia, gujrati, marathi, telugu, kashmiri, punjabi etc). Basically these converts are ashamed of their original language as they all came from sanskrit(hindu language).
Where as muslim converts from sindh, bengal, tamil, kerala, pakhtunkhwa etc are not ashamed if their language and holds very high dignity to their language. They never considered thus hybrid urdu language as their own.
Pashtoons still love Pashto and not Urdu....
Muslims are bilingual in provinces of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, North Tamil Nadu, Gujarat. They are fine with the regional languages. They're in no way ashamed of speaking these languages. In Maharashtra, you cannot make out whether a person is a Muslim because their command over the language is fantastic. The Hindi language was formed in the late twentieth century. 1875. The Devanagari script was being propagated thereafter. Hindustani was a hybrid language but the grammar and basic roots are From Sanskrit. The lexical borrowings don't make a language Muslim because originally all the speakers of Persian, Arabic and Turkish were either fire worshippers or idol worshippers/polytheists. I can call it a Hindvi Creole. Do you know that Arabic is not a Muslim language? Christians of Bethlehem speak Arabic as their first language. So also many Jews speak Arabic as a second language.

Though we're muslims but we still have our mother tongue as first priority which we speak it's only muslims from Delhi or West UP who don't want to speak their native language and there is a reason because the main language spoken at those places was Hindustani which had evolved as a mixture of Farsi Khadi boli because farsi was official language used during Mughal period and not to forget that Hindustani had persian script same as Urdu till 18th century when Britishers wanted to create divide so they provoked Hindus to create Hindi as an offshoot of Hindustani with Devanagari script which was never a language before 18th century you can read history you'll find it so Urdu (Hindustani) is older than Hindi and it's our Indian government imposing Hindi on everyone specially in UP Bihar MP Jharkhand Uttarakhand etc etc our true languages are about to die and we're told that they our languages are dialects which is ironic because Hindi itself uses Awadhi Braj literature because Hindi was never a true language.
Also to aware you Urdu is only used by muslims because most of the translations of Arabic scriptures like Holy Qur'an and hadiths was done in Hindustani/Urdu during Mughal period if we had in our languages we wouldn't have been using Urdu if you think we should do it now then it's not favourable situation in India because rather than translating in our languages we need to save our religion first from some anti-muslim propaganda which is spreading widely you won't get this point if you're brainwashed andh bhakt.
Urdu sentence making also taken from Sanskrit same like Hindi boli .. some words are taken from Persian as well as Arabic with Sanskrit structure

Same with Bengali bro, same. I am from West bengal, India...and I can easily tell the difference between a Bangladeshi and Indian bengali. Even in Indian Bengal, there are many dialects and accents. I speak South Bengali and North Bengali is very different. Sundarbans accent is also different. In Bangladesh there are several other dialects. Rohingya Bangla is spoken in Myanmar's Rakhine, and we Indian bengalis cannot understand a single word of it haha
My thammi used to speak chattograms Bangla and believe me we didn't used to understand a single word.

Ishq-e-Majazi is the love for material things and people. Majaz means allegory, something which is a representation of something and not real. Just like a beautiful story. It just exists in the imagination. While Ishq-e-Haqeeqi is the real (haqeeqat) love. It is a Sufi concept and is used to denote the love for one's creator, the Almighty.
Ishq-e-Majazi is fickle, transitory and often derives from physical/emotional needs. Ishq-e-Haqeeqi is solid and profound and originates from the awe and gratitude towards the Almighty and life. I think you said the other way round.

20:12 Both explanations WRONG and misleading. Ishq-e-haqiqi is about Haqeeqat... the absolute Truth, the God. Ishq-e-majaazi is about loving the creation of god or something unreal.. this physical world is considered unreal or illusion and god's various creations are also illusion for religions... be it any religion. Human, Nature... love for all these temporary existences or god's creations comes under the category of ishq-e-majaazi.

10:18 correction Tulsidas jee ne "Ram Charitra Manas" likha tha. "Ramayan" "Valmiki je" ne likha tha. Dono me difference hai. Tulsidas jee ne sirf Ram jee ko mind me rakh ke Ram charitra Manas likhi thi jiska meaning hai The Character (Charitra) of lord Rama.

I think Awadhi captures the pain more because of the massive invasions that have happened in that region. Hence they captured that pain in the language. True for the other languages also in the same area as well.

it's a language actually, it was so popular till 19th century but it got replaced by hindi, so the hindustani (today's hindi or khadi boli) which you listen is actually influenced by awadhi. that's why you're able to understand awadhi.

@Abhiuday Pratap singh I mean for an outsider Avadhi and Bhojpuri sound so similar, almost the same. And the matter is not helped by the hybrid districts at the border of Avadhi and Bhojpuri speaking regions.

While we're bhojpuri speakers from bihar but my mom knows many awadhi songs for different occasions like wedding, funeral, festivals etc.
I spent 10yrs in police line during childhood because of this I can understand most of these language today .

West punjabi muslims dont have punjabi medium schools and also they feel ashamed of speaking in punjabi language. They are more into punjabized accent urdu. Sindhi, baloch, pakhtoon are proud of their own languages.

Children can learn 4-5 languages easily if given proper teaching. Their brains are growing fast and can assimilate any teaching. Like sponge absorbs water.
