Me: Discovers them 9 years after their break up. I want to die even more now. This is THE punk rock band. The only REAL punk rock band before this was Linkin Park and there really hasn't been any successful clones of these two bands because all of them dip far too much into the overly melodramatic area. The real only other good "emo" band is Evanescense.
Fun fact: the distorted vocals in the bridge of Helena were made by Gerard singing into a fan

I dont get the big deal. Its cringe how everyone freaks out over the note. Yeah it's a mad song, yeah it's sad such a great band split up, but you don't need to over dramatize the entire thing. Gives the "emo" community a bad name and causes prejudice against great bands like MCR.

Also the music video is what really sells The Ghost Of You. Like seriously it changes everything. And every album of theirs is a concept album so listening to the words (esp for Na Na Na) would not have helped much
“Fun” fact: Famous Last Words was written by Gerard for his lil bro Mikey (bass). Mikey’s depression had gotten really bad and he was going to drop out of the band, but when he heard this song he realized he couldn’t leave
Also Bob Bryar. I know everybody loves to hate him and he's acted like a jerk in the past- but you can't deny his contribution to the band was super important. Everyone I've seen review Welcome to the Black Parade has appreciated the drums- but the fans don't. Bob acted like a jerk after he left the band- and I'm not excusing that(although we don't know the reasons behind his behavior)but that doesn't change the fact that he was one of the main factors in MCR's awesome sound.

I didn’t cry the first time I watched the mv but by the third time in a row I was crying
I cried when I first watched it, but I don't know if I would have had I not read the comments. I didn't know the band at the time, so when I read that Mikey (who I knew as the guy with glasses) was the singer's brother it made me a lot more emotional. Especially placing my self in that situation.

I already start crying everytime I hear the guitars at the beginning because the only thing I can picture is Mikey getting shot and Gerard screaming. This song is amazing. He should have reacted to the Music video.
