Feels like a bit of a cheat code and can be somewhat cliche but I love it

Great video! Would be nice to see some samples of portrait photography from this camera if you have time for another video.

It seems that’s been a popular request and something I’d also like to spend some time on. Already working on that video now!

the comparison of medium format digital to medium format film makes no sense. a 100mgpxl camera is the most insane detail rendering. its razor sharp, perfection, can pixel peep for miles. medium format film on the other hand is full of character. its sharp but soft at the same time. the gfx isn't that. a real comparison would be like a 12 megapixel camera from 2009. the nikon d700 has much more of a medium format film look than the gfx. the d700 is sharp enough, but has a softness to it that appears more like a medium format image. just my 2 cents.

Im not sure I’d agree, primarily because the main comparison that I’m curious in is not lens sharpness but resolution and things that are more heavily impacted by the size of a medium format image. Things like the combination of field of view paired with lens compression and the different “look” that is provided because of that.
Also if we’re talking sharpness and resolution, there are plenty of lenses made for medium format systems that are still incredibly sharp paired with the fact that the “sensor size” of medium format negatives are huge and retain so much information, I think you’d be surprised.
