🙏 really good advice and also SO IMPORTANT to know the difference between airing out the dirt vs talking to your friends and family bc there is abuse in the relationship. 💔 I do want to add one thing and see your thoughts on this- I also think it's important to make sure that if you do need to vent that, you also create a step by step resolve with whomever you are telling. Bc you paint that shifty picture and then you have to repaint it with the tools you took to resolve. Also! I know that there have been studies done where parents fight in front of kids, and those kids will have more aggressive outward behavior when they are interacting with others. Whereas parents who fought in front of their kids and also came back to resolve the fight in front of them- showed more communication skills and less fear of conflict. So, it trickles all the way down from exterior groups to interpersonal dynamics for nurturing.
I guess also as a family member hearing about your own friend’s or family member’s relationship issue, ensure to ask them what the cause or what their part was. It always helps with better advice & conclusion.
I definitely needed to hear this! I’ve definitely said things once or twice so I’m definitely holding myself accountable for this I’ve learned this a long time ago and luckily our marriage is better than ever! ❤slightly embarrassed but it is what it is
