@@gungunx9064 no at first they were fooling around too. 1st time Monica slept with Chandler she was going to sleep with Joey but she stumbled into Chandler!
Depends. It was just wrong getting in the same old repetition of a lame on and off relationship between Ross and Rachel again. Since season 1 they had huge crush on one another. It's a disappointment to watch how the writers distanced themselves from the original story line.
Am I the only one who thinks that Ross/Rachel relationship was forced? Clearly, Ross has been in love with Rachel for quite some time. As for Rachel, she starts liking him after he gave her that gift. Just does't add up. The first time I watched the show, I liked the Ross/Rachel, but it got so annoying as the show went on with their fights, jealousy, on-and-off relationship, etc etc. Friends did horribly with the drama part of the show through 1-7. I always thought the Rachel/Joey story arc was the best drama until the end.
Charlie Goldkamp XD I loved this ship as well, but a lot of critics stated that this relationship upset a lot of the audience members and forced directors to cancel this arc
First of all Joey is hot. Second of all this relationship between Ross and Rachel should never have worked out. Third Joey and Rachel should’ve worked out like they should’ve been the power couple it would’ve been so adorable to see them together
Nooo Joey is too childish and immature for Rachel. They coudn’t do it, and they would bored in relatioship. Rachel and Ross always loved each other. Wirters bulided their love story for all 10 seasons. And Rachel had kid with Ross, and it would be weried if she and Joey would stay
So its ok for Monica to fool around with her dad's best friend whom he considers his brother, but when Rachel wants to do the same with Ross' best friend it's a no no?! Wtf logic was that?
And Monica did fool around with her friends too. For example, Joey. In Ross's wedding with Emily, Monica got an idea to fool around with Joey, but in the end it was Chandler
Over the course of the series, I've noticed something that not many people have. You see, when it comes to dating, romantic Rachel has two sides: Rachel with a crush, and Rachel in love. You might think that I'm crazy and stupid, but stay with me. Rachel with a crush is the most prominent version of romantic Rachel. It's her when she's dating everyone like Tag and Joshua. It's her when she's dating someone she really likes, but doesn't exactly love. Surely you can all agree with this. The only person who doesn't fall into this category is Ross, for obvious reasons, but let me give you an in-depth view. See, Rachel in love rarely ever shows up. Actually, the only example of Rachel in love is During season 3 when her and Ross were dating. You see, a lot of people hated season 3 because of Rachel and Ross' personalities during it. Some think it was the worst season since their characters were so flat and annoying with all the "lubby-dubby" stuff. But here's the thing that most people don't understand: the writers did that on purpose. This claim is even backed up by one of the writers who had explained the reasoning behind Ross and Rachel's break up, saying "nobody wants to see a happily ever after". This just proves that when Rachel was going out with Ross, the two were actually in love. And not just "oh, I really like him" love, I mean they truly and deeply loved each other in this season. This is important to note. You see, during season 3 when Rachel was in love, her character's personality was very different from every other season. She was sweet and gentle. She was very affectionate, cared for Ross deeply, and in fact, acted like a loving little girl. My favourite example of this is right in the beginning of Season 3 The One Where No One's Ready. Notice how as soon as she walks out of the bathroom, she goes straight to Ross and wants to be held. Notice her huge smile and how she spends most of the time looking up into his eyes. Notice how she raises her voice into a cute, sweet tone. These are traits that most people look over, but believe me, are extremely important. Why? Because truthfully, whether in Friends or in real life, if you are deeply in love with someone, making them happy is what makes you happy. And that is the key difference between Rachel in love and Rachel with a crush. The fact is, after they break up, never again does "Rachel in love" show herself again. Rachel in love only comes out when she's truly happy and in a relationship with the guy she loves. Although, this side does come out briefly when she and Ross reconcile in the beach house episode, and hints of it appeared when she went to London to confess her love. It is implied, and I strongly believe, that Rachel in love came back out after the series finale. You can even see a glimpse of it in the ending scene when she and Ross cuddle and hold each other as the group says goodbye to the apartment. Now, I've proven that Ross is Rachel's true love and how it brings out her true self. "But what about Joey?" you may be asking. Well, don't you worry my friend. I didn't over look him. See, truth be told, Joey does not fall into the "Rachel in love" category. He, in fact, falls in the "Rachel with a crush" along with every other guy she's dated. Why? Well let me explain. Rachel's relationship with Joey has always just been one huge crush. I know that this is very controversial and that she had said that she loved him, but honestly when you really look for it, you can tell that deep down, she doesn't actually love Joey. As a friend, yes. But as a romantic partner, not by a long shot. Her relationship with Joey was nothing more than a crush that got bigger because of jealousy. See, if Rachel truly was in love with Joey, "Rachel in love" would have made an appearance (and I hope I have given you enough evidence to prove that this would have happened). Sure you can argue there wasn't enough Joey and Rachel screen time to show this, but actually during the scenes where they try to have sex, that would have been a perfect time for "Rachel in love" to come out. Instead, she doesn't, which is what ticked me off the first time. Remember why Rachel and Joey broke up? They tried to have sex but realised that they were too close of friends. Well you know what I say to that? That's a loud of bull crap. Deep down, Rachel didn't love Joey, which is why she couldn't bring herself to having sex with him. She even says it herself that it felt wrong. This is also why when they broke up, she managed to get over it pretty quickly. When she had broken up with Ross, she would have been devastated for the following few days. Instead, she had gotten over it in the next episode and so did Joey. You can argue that she didn't' have a huge fight with Joey as she did with Ross, but that doesn't make a difference. If she had truly loved Joey, she would have been emotionally pained. This is why Rachel and Ross were meant together. Whatever they say or do on the outside doesn't change the fact that they bring out the best in each other. At the end of the day, love is the true giver of happiness and Rachel could have only found that with Ross, and no one else. Rachel's feelings for Joey were purely physical. She did love him in a friendly way but her romantic feelings were shallow. I personally think that she decided to give Joey a go when things were not working out between her and Ross prior to that and she thought that she might end up alone as a single mother. I know a lot of people criticize how anticlimatic the Rachel and Joey ending was and they ended it so that Ross and Rachel could reunite but in my opinion it showed us that they could not take their relationship to the next stage as it did not feel right to both of them. They were best friends but did not connect on an emotional level. I know it could have been handled in a better way by the writers but still the message was clear. Moreover, that "Rachel only loves Ross" theory is further proved in the finale when Ross begged Rachel to stay back and she rejected him. But once she got on the plane she realized thay she really did want to be with him. She then drops everything even her new fancy job and flights her way off the plane to go back to him. It showed us that Ross only needed to ask once and Rachel would have gone back to him in a heartbeat.
So beautifully written and well explained!! As you said, during the first three episodes of season 10 where Rachel was in a "romantic relationship" with Joey and even before that, where Rachel had a crush on him during the last episodes of season 9, Rachel acts really weirdly and she doesn't remind me of the "in love Rachel" but she actually reminds me of the "have a crush Rachel". She seems more enthusiastic and crazy about dating a TV star than being actually in love with him. It felt like she was a little girl who developed this big crush on a famous and charming guy while she didn't care for experiencing actual feelings. It seemed like an immature reaction to the whole "Ross and Rachel" situation that just went through a crisis. And, as you said, her true intentions and feelings were revealed in "The One with Ross' Tan" where she couldn't have sex with him. As for Joey, I am not sure if he was still in love with Rachel during that period, or he was just excited about getting a positive response from the girl he liked. It felt more as a revenge to Ross for kissing Charlie. Now, the discussion between Ross and Joey in "The One where Ross is Fine" really brought a lot of questions. What really annoyed me with Rachel, and I can't justify it is her behavior after she gave birth to Emma. I am not sure if her fragile emotional state and her talk with Janice were so strong that made her accept "Joey's proposal" while she had just given birth to Ross's baby and had a kiss with him. Rachel season 9 is like a completely different character
Actually he got me in the first second I saw him in the first episode (I didn't have any background of him) I was like: dang who is this guy=)))))) and from that right moment until now he has been my favorite.

I asked chat gpt to create a recipe with 2 cups of tarragon, one pound of baking soda and one red onion. Title: Tarragon-Roasted Red Onion Delight Ingredients: - 2 cups fresh tarragon leaves - 1 red onion - 1 pound baking soda - Olive oil - Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). 2. Start by preparing the red onion. Peel the outer layer and slice it into thick rings. 3. In a large bowl, combine the red onion rings with 1 cup of fresh tarragon leaves. Drizzle olive oil over them and toss until evenly coated. 4. In a separate bowl, mix the baking soda with the remaining 1 cup of tarragon leaves. This mixture will act as a flavorful coating for the onion rings. 5. Take each onion ring and coat it generously with the tarragon and baking soda mixture. Ensure that the rings are coated on both sides. 6. Place the coated onion rings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Arrange them in a single layer, leaving space between each ring. 7. Drizzle a little more olive oil over the onion rings and season with salt and pepper to taste. 8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, or until the onions become tender and golden brown. 9. Once roasted, remove the onion rings from the oven and let them cool slightly. 10. Serve the tarragon-roasted red onion rings as a delicious side dish or as a topping for salads, sandwiches, or burgers. Enjoy the unique combination of flavors in this Tarragon-Roasted Red Onion Delight!
Only because the reason it appeared on the tv-screen anyway is *total* nonsense. Rachel and Ross were each others Lobster. Just disappointing while the seasons progressed that the latter was *not* on the forefront and the focus came on the _"we were on a break"_ instead. We just had to sit and watch their on-screen magic being killed off. If it was the other way around, there is *no* doubt that the show would have even been greater had the writers not become too much fixated on the on-and-off relationship that started to ruin the show.

Monica was about to fool around with Joey too in London and on top of that she dated her dad's friend and his son while she found it 'weird' when Ross and Jill were dating. I like her character but this aspect of it is bizzare
Monica learned from her mistakes. She wanted a casual hook up and it ended in marriage. That's why she knew that if Rachel was just going to fool around with Joey it would become more. Which would have been fine if it wasn't for Emma and Ross
Team Joey and Rachel here😢 I had good time when Ross was with Rachel the first few seasons, but then Ross sometimes act like an a**hole to Rachel and keep dating others make me feel hes not that the deep with Rachel, i cant feel the love between these two at all. But Joey and Rachel their interaction are great, the time they live tgt the date they had, its so refreshing and fun. Just my opinion, i think majority think Ross snd Rachel are meant to be.
I think Rachel had no loyalty at this time for Ross and was more toxic..Ross always wanted to get back to her but she somehow she started dating other guy or ended up liking them..Feel bad for Joey though🥲 When finally Ross wanted to give a chance to start a new life with her in their apartment she gave phone no. to a stranger in girls outing, and also kissed the office guy and didn't even tell Ross..when Ross told that he found out everything, her behaviour was so disgusting and she simply left for Joey in his apartment and dated him.. seriously😑and so as in the season when she had baby of Ross but easily accepted a marriage ring as she thought Joey was proposing🙄🙄
Ah! Rachel Rachel Rachel! Why do people adore her so much seriously? Her character is so overrated. Only good thing about it is it was played by Jennifer. She is such a mess!
I hated ross after finding out about rachel and joey's "almost" happy ever after. Ross is a narcissist, selfish, and insensitive and Rachel is too emotional that she doesn't know how to figure out what she truly feels. meanwhile, joey's doing his best to be good for everyone and to not fuck things up. They don't deserve joey but the thought that joey and rachel didn't happened because of ross is disappointing.

@@shabrinaz9877 he's slow 😂
Monica said it wouldn't work for friends to do it but wasn't that what her and chandler were doing for five months
Lucas Ball Yeah but it became a big deal didn't it?
Gungun x good point
Depends. It was just wrong getting in the same old repetition of a lame on and off relationship between Ross and Rachel again. Since season 1 they had huge crush on one another.
It's a disappointment to watch how the writers distanced themselves from the original story line.
Rachel and Chandler weren't "fooling around", they were committed to one another. Rachel at that moment just wanted to get laid. Not quite the same ;)
Am I the only one who thinks that Ross/Rachel relationship was forced?
@@gvbewithav ooooommmmggggg I'm sorry, I never knew that but that makes it even more frustrating that they never even had a chance
Agreeeeeeee it was beautiful first 3 season maybe some episodes in s6 but after ughhh
Joey love story with Rachel was honestly the best and how she admit to him that she likes him back that scene was so good
Yes, you are the only one.
I shipped them IDC!😍❤❤
Mari Torres how you doin 😉
😂👍😙
0:13 I love the sound she makes there XD That's verbal heart racing lolz
Ok but the way he lifts her
i'd be giggling too

0:48 Monica is so hilarious😂
First of all Joey is hot. Second of all this relationship between Ross and Rachel should never have worked out. Third Joey and Rachel should’ve worked out like they should’ve been the power couple it would’ve been so adorable to see them together
Not really, Joey and Rachel is just wrong
Nooo Joey is too childish and immature for Rachel. They coudn’t do it, and they would bored in relatioship. Rachel and Ross always loved each other. Wirters bulided their love story for all 10 seasons. And Rachel had kid with Ross, and it would be weried if she and Joey would stay
00:05 Ross' gaze for a second while Joey picked Rachel up...
Underrated comment
Ok but Rachel was so smooth at the end with the sudden change of topic, no hesitation at all.
Rachel reacts just like her mother when the mom was kissed by Joey at Rachel's birthday party. Even the parents' casting was geniusly done.
She just went limp in the hallway😂😂
But nowadays many people are just friends that fool around
Callista Southerland not very goof friends I think
It's so sweet when Joey was fooling around with Rachel without realizing her feelings when she was the one that rejected him before 😂
Everyone had a crush on Joey at some point but still he´s the one left out.
Its better to be attractive for at least one than everyone out there.
I would crush him too if he picked me up that easily and is that gorg too 🤦♀️❤
So its ok for Monica to fool around with her dad's best friend whom he considers his brother, but when Rachel wants to do the same with Ross' best friend it's a no no?! Wtf logic was that?
Yes if they had given her a chance maybe it would have been the best couple of their group.
And Monica did fool around with her friends too. For example, Joey. In Ross's wedding with Emily, Monica got an idea to fool around with Joey, but in the end it was Chandler
And even when she fooled around with Chandler in London. She doesn’t remember that???
Monica said that because she knew Joey was in love with her and would be hurt anyways so she just tried to protect him
I'd say it's more that Monica learned her lesson the hard way and is telling Rachel it's a bad idea
Wise words, wise words indeed
Dang this was an English essay. Props tho
I agree too. Rachel and joey is weird as hell. And I've been in situations where I've felt 'superficial' love for someone. That's exactly how it feels
The Joey, Rachel storyline didn't work on Friends and showed that they were running out of ideas for the show.
what the hell are you cooking?
I'M DYING 😂😂
„What the hell are you cooking?“ 😂cracks me up every time
it's amazing how they made me fall in love with joey after just 2 or 3 episodes 😍.
He had me at "How you doing?"
Actually he got me in the first second I saw him in the first episode (I didn't have any background of him) I was like: dang who is this guy=)))))) and from that right moment until now he has been my favorite.
this is one of my favorite Rachel outfits! That white shirt+necklace combo was gorgeous, plus her makeup!
Joey is hot
Joey would definitely be better for Rachel than Ross…
Everyone has a crush on Joey. I shipped Rachel with Joey because she was his true love.❤️
🔥❤️
she didnt deserve him
He later seemed to not care though. Am I missing something?
@anglesky6969 I know like Joey didn’t really look happy during the relationship
Honestly that story between Joey and Rachel almost ruined the show for me. At least they didn’t make it last too long, but it was an aweful idea
I don’t care what any of you have to say, but I always thought Joey and Rachel were a cuter couple than her and Ross
JOEY AND RACHEL ARE MEANT TO BE 🥺🥺🥺
Man those episodes where Joey fell in love with Rachel were amazing and sad how he beat himself over it THEY MUST GET MARRIED he would be such a caring Dada 😍
😄😄
rachel and ross were toxic rachel and joey were really sweet :((
So sweet it'll rot your teeth
I asked chat gpt to create a recipe with 2 cups of tarragon, one pound of baking soda and one red onion.
Title: Tarragon-Roasted Red Onion Delight
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh tarragon leaves
- 1 red onion
- 1 pound baking soda
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Enjoy the unique combination of flavors in this Tarragon-Roasted Red Onion Delight!

...Ways to fool around with Joey. Duh!
When Joey picked up rachel that was so adorableee it's literally like the thing that happens irl
The way she’s so frazzled is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
still kinda weird how they sorta just scraped this romance with no actual reason other than them wanting the rachel ross thing
1:12 Rachel could have said Monica and Chandler
What the hell are u cooking 😂😂😂
Deep inside, everyone wants Rachel and Joey to be together but guess what true love hardly gets a name of a relationship.🌸
So beautifully said and portrayed. Wow. Just amazing 😭

witch season?
I love Joey and Rachel more than Ross and Rachel ❤️
Only because the reason it appeared on the tv-screen anyway is *total* nonsense. Rachel and Ross were each others Lobster. Just disappointing while the seasons progressed that the latter was *not* on the forefront and the focus came on the _"we were on a break"_ instead. We just had to sit and watch their on-screen magic being killed off. If it was the other way around, there is *no* doubt that the show would have even been greater had the writers not become too much fixated on the on-and-off relationship that started to ruin the show.
I'm agree rachel and joey are so cute
Joey didn't make sense for Rachel. It was just physical. They had nothing else in common outside of being being physical roommates.
Rachel Saluna if you consider what Joey and Rachel had as, love. Then no, Rachel was not Joeys first love. That would be Janine Lecroix
Rachel Saluna Two people who live together, develop feelings with the proximity, but can't get past kissing. Yea....same as Janine.
But I was just comparing that one for you. The true answer, is Kate from season 3. That was actually the first time he fell in love. :)
The excited giggle is amazing haha
Team Joey and Rachel here😢 I had good time when Ross was with Rachel the first few seasons, but then Ross sometimes act like an a**hole to Rachel and keep dating others make me feel hes not that the deep with Rachel, i cant feel the love between these two at all. But Joey and Rachel their interaction are great, the time they live tgt the date they had, its so refreshing and fun. Just my opinion, i think majority think Ross snd Rachel are meant to be.
0:08 did anyone notice that the subtitles said "up you 90" instead of "up you go"
Yeah
He looked so manly when he carried Rachel...I could just... *sighs*
1:40 always gets me hahahaha
I think Rachel had no loyalty at this time for Ross and was more toxic..Ross always wanted to get back to her but she somehow she started dating other guy or ended up liking them..Feel bad for Joey though🥲
When finally Ross wanted to give a chance to start a new life with her in their apartment she gave phone no. to a stranger in girls outing, and also kissed the office guy and didn't even tell Ross..when Ross told that he found out everything, her behaviour was so disgusting and she simply left for Joey in his apartment and dated him.. seriously😑and so as in the season when she had baby of Ross but easily accepted a marriage ring as she thought Joey was proposing🙄🙄
Joey famous line "How you doing?" 😂😂😂
Joey😍
Joey was very hot
Rachel looks soooooo lovely here!!

6.Phoebe Buffay (The oldest)
I love Joey so much that when I was watching these episodes, I genuinely hope these two can be together 😭
okay many people hate them but oH MY GOD THEY ARE CUTE
(but i still think they were better like friends)
This made waaaay more sense than Ross and Rachel
a pound of baking soda? I guess whatever it is will be light and fluffy.
😱 He lifted her into the air like a teddy bear, how strong Joey is? 🥳🎊🎉💪🎊🎉🥳
I don't get this. Didn't Rachel not like it when Joey hit on her after having that dream about Monica and wanted what Chandler and Monica had . He he saw her 1st and she don't hit on your existing friends?
1:41 the best part
She got chilly after the lift
😂😂😂
I actually quite liked Rachel and Joey. For me, Ross and Rachel were super cute in the beginning but just got way too toxic. In the real world, that kind of toxicity is what I hope people avoid in relationships.
They still had a daughter
monica looking inside the refrigerator for too long..waiting for rachel to say something
She looked inside for 9 seconds when I'm looking for something to eat it takes me longer than 9 seconds to look for something in the refrigerator
Love friends but honestly one of the worst story lines in the show.
I ship Joey and rachel ❤
