You definitely have proven that CEO wrong. That is the right attitude to have: Take hater's/naysayer's negativity and turn it into motivation. I am very happy to be part of your music licensing community!

I was 1 of the many people you opened eyes to music licensing. I've been creating instrumentals for almost 10 years now because I'm a musician, not a vocalist. I always thought what I was doing would work best as background music to video. You would think I would have realized soon enough about this industry, but nope. It was last March when I stumbled on your video and you made it all click. So thank you, 2019 will be the year I join your network. See you then!

You have an incredible story Jesse. You know, when I have bad moments of doubt, uncertainty or fear about my music future, I have a couple of artistic documentaries I like to watch that inspire me and get me pumped up to start composing again. This video is going on that list. Thanks so much for telling us your story, it's pretty amazing!

Jesse, you don't know how much you inspire me. Been watching you for a year, bought a fully loaded DAW suite in April, and have been learning so much. I feel that something really great is coming. Thank you!

The part about your feeling disenchanted with creating run-of-the-mill licensable music (at 22:00 ~ onward), I was not expecting to hear that ! Given those circumstances, it would seem like working another factory job, very repetitive, uninspiring, and mundane. This is a great example of a reality check before getting too lost in self-created false beliefs about how you expect things should be. Thanks for your very inspiring story, Jesse!

It was VERY much like having a boring day job. Needless to say I got even more bummed out thinking "even my dream job is getting dull". So it's good to recharge from time to time and remind yourself why you got into Sync Licensing to begin with.

@@SyncMyMusic Well Jesse, I decided to put your words to the test and see for myself. So, after some experimenting I settled on a formula and started tailoring my music to fit the formula. The whole time I'm thinking wow, this is great, this works for me and I get a lot accomplished, but as time went on I started to feel exactly what you were talking about. For me personally, I need a ALOT of variety in my life, I can't handle no cookie-cutter-type stuff for very long. Thanks again for your feedback.

Sounds like the studio you described in Hollywood was originally the LA location of Wally Heider Sound Recorders. Many iconic hits were produced at that studio. Cahuenga and Selma really. That’s the best studio in Hollywood right there.

Yep...spent a of of years being a dreamer myself. and even spent the past 8 or 9 years dreaming paying organisations to pitch my song thinking some famous guy will record it. Not any more. No more paying membership fees to these orgs promising they can help you with your music career. Bedroom songwriters dont make it....period. And it took a long time to cop on that fact. Time to see money coming back my way and not constantly out of my wallet and into someone elses.

Woooowww, dude. I have *got* to get into your system. I've been producing music now for 10 years and haven't had any serious direction. You inspire me. I'm all in, man.
Something inside me is driving me to hone my music / production skills daily, and has been for 2.5 years. During that time, I've produced 123 songs (complete with music videos), but without any real direction. My gut is telling me you've got something that can help me, dude. On to the next video! (Where do I sign up for more?)

Thank you for sharing your inspiring story in such detail Jesse, I'm sure it hits home for many, i know it does for me. I've had multiple record deals, toured the world , been through the machine and for some time since have been in a "tug of war" in finding the correct path for myself. Even when the "dream" is achieved, things and circumstances change. They always change. If you don't change with them, then well, like you just expressed...you'll be miserable working for someone else. GREAT WORK, Cheers and looking fwd to being part of the fold!

Great story, Jesse! You are an inspiration. I just signed up for SyncEdge yesterday. I've been following you on RUclips for a few months, and I've been creating and uploading orchestral tracks to a royalty-free library. They have accepted all fourteen of the tracks and variants that I've submitted, but I've only sold one track. Yay, ten bucks. So, I've decided to up my game and create an album of 5-10 tracks, closely following your advice, and submit it to exclusive libraries. Thanks so much!

Thank you for sharing your story in full detail Jessie. I'm new to the channel as a fellow producer shared your channel with me. I've always eant to get into syncing my music. I did several years ago but I think I needed more time to cultivate my sound. And I spent years being an artist and got away from the idea. In the last few years syncing is all I think about. And now, just recently I partnered with my first company. I could be mad for the time I didn't move on syncing but it's all about timing. I'm so excited to join your community!👏🏿👍🏿 so now - do you have a video on companies to join?? Lol

You...you are helping me a lot...thanks very much....how long should my track be?...i started with a 37 minutes record with over 50 versions . it is only one track record with digital effects on multi-rhythm acoustic guitar...recording on garage band.... which I am learning how to use in the process as well as learning the business too. I feel the music has potential because of style, techniques and power and speed delivered on the strings at same time...what should i do ...can you help me out?....thanks and will be appreciated.
